With a dismissive wave of his hand, Lysander sent David scurrying out of the office. Only once he was
in the hallway did David realize his back was drenched in sweat, beads of perspiration dotting his
forehead.
Wiping the sweat from his brow, David felt a flush of embarrassment. He wondered for the umpteenth
time what Thssa had done to ruffle Mr. Sinir''s feathers this time. Whenever she stirred the pot, he
was the one who got burnt.
He couldn''t count the number of times he''d been dragged into Thssa''s messes. He must be the
most unfortunate assistant ever.
The boss had a lover''s quarrel, and instead of taking it out on his girlfriend, he took it out on his right-

Back in his office, David hastily booked his ticket and started packing for Afrnd. The trip was

return.
Her response amused David. He couldn''t help but release a chuckle and felt rxed a bit.
"I''m packing for Afrnd." he confessed, dropping the guessing game.
"Oh, well, bon voyage!" Thssa responded without missing a beat, her voice devoid of any surprise
as she wished him well on his journey.
