Chapter 948
Thssa could sense the daggers in every icy re that Charlotte directed her way. A barely
noticeable smirk yed on her lips as she recalled thest time Charlotte had attempted to frame her
for theft.
It had blown up spectacrly in Charlotte’s face when Lysander, in front of a crowd no less, exposed
her ploy, leading to Zephyr announcing the cancetion of the Sinir-Ravensong family alliance in a fit
of rage.
Yet, here was Charlotte, not even bothering to apologize, instead choosing to throw shade at Thssa
as if she had any right to do so.
On a normal day, Thssa would have settled the score, but today she was here on behalf of Crawley
Group, with business to attend to. Personal vendettas would have to wait.
Ignoring Charlotte’s provocative gaze, Thssa’s eyes drifted to the man seated next to her. It was
none other than Richard Draven, the young owner of the Draven Antique Shop.
Richard and Charlotte sitting together? Was he here for the interview as well? Perhaps as Charlotte’s
friend?
Ignoring Charlotte’s earlier attempt to engage her, Thssa seated herself across from them, her smile
cool and distant. She turned to Richard and said, “Mr. Draven, it’s quite unexpected to have your

been busytely, so I thought I’d keep an old friendpany.”
His gaze softened as he looked at Charlotte, who seemed oblivious to the affection in his eyes. Her
own eyes, marked with precision, remained fixated on Thssa, wielding a look that could incite wars.
Charlotte was indignant that Thssa had ignored her, her privileged upbringing making it impossible
for her to ept such disregard.
The fire in Charlotte’s heart was stoked by Thssa’s nonchnt demeanor.
Suddenly, Charlotte stood up, towering over Thssa, “I’m speaking to you, did you not hear me? My
engagement to Lysander might be off, but I’m the journalist interviewing you today. How dare you treat
me with such disrespect!”
The fury in her voice was palpable, clearly intertwining her professional responsibilities with personal
grievance.
Thssa maintained herposed smile, finally looking at Charlotte and retorted, “Ms. Ravensong,
getting this upset over being ignored, I wonder how you’d react to being falsely used of theft?”
It was Thssa’s turn to bring up old scores.
Charlotte’s face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes darting away. But there was no way she would
back down to Thssa, who she saw as nothing more than a country bumpkin.
“I’m talking about the interview, why bring up irrelevant matters?” Charlotte quickly regained her
“As you said, today is about the interview. Why bring up the engagement with Lysander?” Thssa
coolly met Charlotte’s gaze, her retort a mirror of Charlotte’s own logic.
“You…” Charlotte was at a loss for words, her finger pointedly shaking at Thssa.
“Alright, alright, we’re here for an interview, aren’t we? Why are we fighting before it’s even begun?”
Richard interjected, rising to his feet to gently lower Charlotte’s usatory hand, trying to soothe the
situation, “Let’s focus on the task at hand and set aside the irrelevant matters.
Charlotte shot Richard a quick nce, catching his pleading eyes urging her to calm down. However,
the sting of being ignored by Thssa proved too much for Charlotte. In her frustration, she let out a
childish outburst, “Ugh!”
She stamped her foot, her outrage akin to that of an immature child throwing a tantrum.
Thssa watched as Charlotte almost descended into a foot-stomping frenzy across from her,
wondering how someone so impulsive and thoughtless ever became a TV journalist.
Must be connections, Thssa mused. Without her family’s influence, Charlotte probably couldn’tnd
even the most menial of jobs.
“Alright, alright, don’t get all worked up. Let’s sit and get this important interview started, shall we?”
Richard coaxed her back into her seat, a gentle reminder of their purpose there.
