    “Look Mommy, there are so many bubbles. It’s so much fun!” Elowen, with her chubby cheeks, was


    covered in bubbles from the bath foam. Her little hands were busy popping the bubbles as her tiny lips


    blew them around.


    ‘Me too, Mommy! Will you help me blow some bubbles?” Sophia asked as her face lit up with a


    carefree smile, which was something that rarely happened.


    She too had a handful of bubbles, ready to be blown away. The two kids sat in the bathtub while


    sshing around with sheer delight.


    Thssa smiled at them; her eyes were filled with maternal love. She felt at peace when she was with


    her kids.


    “Sure, sweetheart, Mommy will help you blow the bubbles.” She leaned in pursing her lips, and blew


    away the bubbles from Sophia’s hand..


    The bubbles flew andnded on Elowen’s face, melting like snowkes on her soft, childish skin.


    “Ha-ha-ha, it’s so much fun, Mommy. I want you to blow mine too!” Elowen’sughter chimed like a bell.


    Not caring about the bubbles that hadnded on her face, she looked simply ecstatic.


    Her little hands held a handful of bubbles and waited for Thssa to blow them away.


    Thssa puckered up again, blowing away the bubbles from Elowen’s hands.


    Elowen’sughter became more joyous and sweeter. Sophia joined in theughter too.


    Fitch stood near the sofa in the living room and listened to the kids’ughter. His heart melted as he


    sighed, “While Lysander and Mrs. Everhart were away, the kids seemed so down and barely ate. But


    Mrs. Everhart’s return has brought life back into our home. It makes a difference when their mother is


    around…”


    Before he could finish, he felt a stern gaze upon him. He turned to find Lysander’s deep eyes fixed on


    him.


    Fitch straightened up immediately and quickly added, “Of course, their father’s presence is important


    too. The kids missed you as well and they need their father’spany.”


    Lysander’s gaze softened, and he turned his attention towards the bathroom.

    He had arrived home almost at the same time as Thssa, yet the kids only had eyes for their mother.


    Not once had they called out for him. Perhaps it was because Thssa had been with them more.


    Those missing four years ofpanionship were not easy to make up for.


    No one could rece Thssa in the kids’ hearts. She was really doing her job well as their mother.


    Even when she had run away with her kids and caused Elowen to get hurt, she had immediately

    She could never escape from him as long as he had the kids under control.

    “And me,” Atticus added and lowered his head.


    Even Atticus, the aloof boy, stowed his grimness away. Aloofness couldn’t get him the maternal warmth


    he needed.


    The kids had missed Thssa so much in the past few days, and they were so dependent on her.


    Thssa felt a warm glow in her heart, “You’re all grown up now; we can’t all fit in one bed.”
