    Skr had never heard Joe mention any allergies, but thinking back to when they were married, she


    realized they never really ate nuts when they had meals together.

    Because of how Lizzie had described the situation, Rowan had rushed over, and Skr had worried

    ordingly.” Lizzie snorted.


    After making her deal with Joe, Lizzie learned a bit more about the Martin family dynamics. She had


    heard some rumors before, but now that she had all the pieces, it was clear what was going on. It

    “I’m just stating facts, not mocking him.” Lizzie shrugged.


    She knew that he wouldn’t care about a few jokes as long as she didn’t steal Skr away from Joe.

    Paul turned to Skr. “If you’re talking about strange things, Mr. udio was acting odd. After Mr.


    Martin went to the guest room to rest, Mr. udio suddenly imed he was drunk


    and went upstairs too.


    “Normally, he loves being in the spotlight. If Mr. Martin isn’t around, Mr. udio always seizes the


    chance to show off, but tonight he didn’t.”


    “Could it be that they deliberately had the chef put crushed nuts in the food?” Lizzie spected.


    Paul nodded thoughtfully. “That’s possible. They wouldn’t dare do anything openly, but they could’ve


    pulled some petty, nasty stunt behind the scenes.”


    Skr lowered her gaze in thought.

    She had to admit that Joe was quite fortunate.
