    “Minerva?” she blurted out without thinking, her voice louder than she intended.


    Hearing her name, Minerva stopped in her tracks and turned around.


    When she saw both Jenny and Rowan, the smile on her face disappeared instantly.


    Skr also turned, following Minerva’s gaze. She frowned slightly, wondering how it was possible to

    Jenny’s heart raced under Skr’s gaze. Both Skr and Minerva knew her secrets, and every time


    she faced them, she had no choice but to lower herself, pretending she was invisible. Otherwise,


    they might expose her, and Rowan would learn the truth.
