    Upon hearing that Skr would be back after dinner, Joe''s smile faded, and his tone became more neutral. "Alright."


    A few dayster, during Skr''s lunch break, Natalie invited the former to the mall. Natalie was preparing for a trip to Fachington with Austin the next day, which wouldst at least three months.


    "I''ll bring you a gift when Ie back. Fachington is known for its romance, I''m really looking forward to this trip. Even though it''s for work, it''s bound to be an unforgettable experience,pletely different from anything else."


    Natalie''s eyes were filled with excitement for the uing journey.


    Skr smiled and asked, "You''re going for three months. Have you got everything ready?"


    Natalie nodded, taking a sip of her smoothie. "Yes, I''m all set. Don''t worry, I can take care of myself just fine. If I need anything, I can buy it over there.


    "Mr. Powell said he has a mansion in Fachington. When he''s free from filming, I can visit the mansion and even make red wine myself. Mr. Powell is really quite the hidden big shot!" Listening to Natalie constantly refer to Austin, Skr felt that Natalie might have some budding feelings for Austin. She chose not to probe further, sensing that Natalie might be unaware of her feelings.


    Suddenly, Natalie eximed, "Hey, is that Rowan and Vera?"


    Natalie motioned for Skr to look over. Skr followed her gaze to a nearby café, where Vera and Rowan had just sat down together.


    Noticing the change in Skr''s expression, Natalie asked in a low voice, "How are things between you and Joe? I''ve been too busy to asktely."


    Lately, there had been a lot of rumors about Vera and Joe.


    Although some news had surfaced, it was quickly retracted. However, new rumors continued to emerge without any concrete evidence. It was just spective reports by minor reporters. Natalie thought, "Engaged? Nonsense! Joe and Skr are already married, so what engagement are they talking about?"


    Skr said calmly, "The situation between Joe and I is still the same. It''s neither good nor bad."


    She actually didn''t know how to describe their rtionship.


    A few days ago, she and Joe had agreed to prepare for a divorce. But recently, it seemed like Joe had forgotten about it. Their rtionship had somehow be much closer again.


    Natalie nodded. "Being neither good nor bad is quite decent. People are interacting, and I don''t believe that someone as beautiful as you could be around Joe every day without catching his interest.

    As they spoke, they didn''t pay much attention to Vera and Rowan.


    Soon, Skr caught sight of Jenny in her peripheral vision.


    She wondered if Jenny was out of the hospital already. She had heard from Paul about Jenny''s situation, and Joe was already aware of the secret Skr had discovered about Jenny.

    Rowan had been invited by Vera. He initially thought that Vera wanted to discuss Joe with him. However, afterthey sat down and exchanged a few pleasantries, Jenny arrived.

    Her forehead was wrapped in bandages, and she looked significantly thinner. When she walked, it seemed like she was hesitant to put weight on her right leg.


    Rowan was taken aback by the fact that the ident had been a serious one.


    "It looks like Jenny wants to speak with you alone. I''ll take a walk and let you two talk," Vera said as she stood up.


    She had no interest in their conversation.
