Chapter 36
“Professor Killian, goodbye.” Hera took back the books she was about to hand over and turned to
leave.
Bernard watched coldly as she walked away, and a faint smile yed at the corner of his mouth.
Was she jealous?
“What’s the matter?” He turned back, and his handsome face exuded an air of chilliness in an
instant.
Giselle was scared by his sudden coldness, but she managed to hide her inner trembles very well.
“Dernie, didn’t you say we could stay in touch? I called y
you, but t
t your phone was off, and you didn’t reply to my messages on WhatsApp either..”
Giselle’s eyes were slightly moist, and her voice sounded aggrieved, making her look pitiful.
Usually, any man would feel sympathetic at the sight of her like this.
However, Bernard’s handsome face showed no trace ofpassion as he looked at her coldly.
Unaware that her number had long been blocked and her text message on WhatsApp had been
ignored, Giselle continued,
ed, “Don’t get me wrong. I’m
Ime wrong. I’m not asking for any i

from you
“You asked Mr. Ludden to ask me if we could stay in touch, so I thought I’d reach out to you. I also
wanted to ask if you’re feeling better now?*
As she spoke, she reached out her hand to touch Bernard, but he stepped back to avoid her touch.
“Are you the youngdy from the Everett family?” Bernard asked.
Giselle didn’t understand why he suddenly asked this, but she nodded affirmatively: “Yes.”
“I see,” Berard replied, then turned and left
Giselle stood there with a bewildered expression. What did he mean by that? Did that country
bumpkin tell him something?
No! She needed to find a way to get Hera to leave Norburgh!
Hera entered ss with the book in her arms, apanied by the new homeroom teacher.
Some students in the ss protested, saying that Hera should be expelled for misconduct.
However, they didn’t dare to be arrogant in front of the homeroom teacher.
Hera didn’t care about the students‘ments. She scanned the ss with her cold gaze, and her
gaze finallnded on a girl sitting alone at the back.
The girl was slightly chubby, with a stiff bob haircut and a bunny hair clip on her ear. She looked
somewhat timid.
Her seat had clearly been moved to the back deliberately. Someone was obviously bullying her.
Hera walked over, and the ss bully, Janiya Figueroa, ughed sarcastically.
“It seems that people from the countryside are suited to sit together. Haha…”
The whole ss burst intoughter.
Janiya was expecting to see Hera embarrassed and angry. She enjoyed seeing others frustrated
and helpless.
However, Hera arranged her books calmly and then started ying with her phone, acting as if she
hadn’t heard them at all.

Janiya suddenly felt that her tactic was useless, and she started to hate Hera
“Hello, I’m Isabe Young”
Isabe was being bullied at the academy, and no one wanted to sit next to her. She didn’t expect
Hera to sit next to her without hesitation.
Hera nced at her, nodded, and then returned her gaze to her phone screen.
She quickly typed on the small keyboard area, and codes shed rapidly on the screen above.
Isabe’s cheeks flushed slightly She had thought Hera was very beautiful when Hera entered the
ssroom, and now, Hera looked even more beautiful up close.
Her new deskmate was really beautiful and elegant, albeit a bit aloof.
Isabe couldn’t concentrate in ss while sitting next to a beauty. From time to time, she nced
at Hera, only to find that Hera was ying with her phone the whole time with arold expression
Heraused a privacy screen protector, so Isabe couldn’t see what Hera was looking at

Was she looking at the content of the academy’s forum?
She had also heard about today’s scandal involving the Everett family’s banquet on the forum, and
thements there were harsh.
“It–ideza, don’t believe what they say on the academy’s forum. I believe that you didn’t cheat,”
Isabe said timidly.
