    Reluctantly, the tormentor obeyed, removing the ropes and the gag. Abby gasped for air, her body trembling with relief and fear. She looked up at the neer, her eyes filled with desperate hope.


    The neer crouched down beside her and spoke in a gentler tone. "Abby, listen to me. We need information, and you''re going to give it to us. Understand?"


    Abby nodded weakly, too exhausted and terrified to argue. She knew that whatever they wanted, she had no choice but toply.
