    Nash nced at her, his tone calm. "Your clothes are dirty. You probably need a shower."


    Nina looked down at herself. At home, she used to shower every day. Here, with such harsh conditions, she had given up on that luxury. She had been buried under rubble and had been through a lot, so she definitely wasn''t clean. She hadn''t expected Nash to be so considerate.


    She couldn''t help but sniff herself. "Do I smell?"


    "No." Nash''s deep eyes locked onto hers. "I just know you like to stay clean."


    His words left Nina momentarily dazed. She looked up at Nash, feeling the distance between them. Despite the divorce papers in hand, he still showed her such thoughtful care.


    His actions revealed that he was still attentive to her needs.


    Nina bit her lip, shifting her gaze to avoid the unclear andplicated feelings between them. "Alright."


    Nina nodded and said, "I''ll go back now."


    "Okay."


    Nina turned to leave. Nash watched her until she disappeared from sight before turning around, only to find James lurking in the

    Nash''s expression darkened at his words. He kicked James, barking, "Nonsense!"


    James quickly hugged his leg, wincing from the pain. Despite knowing that honest advice was hard to hear, he couldn''t help but speak up.

    Seeing Nash walk away without wanting to discuss it further, James nced between Nash and the direction the woman had gone. "What on earth is going on here?" he wondered aloud, thoroughly confused.


    When Nina returned to her tent, she was greeted by the aroma of food. It puzzled her since she had already eaten. She walked in to find a table set with hot dishes.


    The rice was clean, not the usual gritty fare. The dishes included wild vegetables and some meat, a rarity and a high treat for the locals.


    She wondered aloud, "Whose food is this? Was it delivered to the wrong ce?"


    Nina went out to ask around.


    "Not sure," someone replied. "It''s probably for you. There''s no one else here."


    Nina nced around but saw no one. Shrugging, she went back inside.


    As soon as she stepped inside, the person hiding in the corner let out a long sigh of relief.


    Seeing Nina ept her gesture was enough. She slowly began to leave, intending to head back.


    Just then, Nina''s voice called out from behind, "Did you prepare this?"


    The person froze, her body stiffening. A wave of nervousness and pride washed over her, and she slowly turned around.
