They were taken aback.
"Not producing it? Why not?" Nina asked.
Nelly smiled and said, "I''m not some big-shot director. I''ve only made a few documentaries and, yes, I''ve won some awards, but I don''t have much ie. This script took me five years to write, and even though I want to shoot it, I can''t find investors. Without funding, it''s impossible to move forward. Plus, thepetition is fierce. Thousands of scripts are submitted, and mine hasn''t attracted any interest. I wanted to produce it myself, but the funding fell through. I just can''t make it happen!"
Nina thought it was for some other reason.
"Your script is really good!" Nina encouraged her. "Both Penelope and I think it''s well written."
"Don''t give up!" Penelope joined in. "Look, we''re here to support you."
Nelly appreciated their encouragement but had to face reality. "Thank you, but I need to make money first. That''s why I''ve been working on other projectstely. Even though I''m proud of this script, investors aren''t interested."
She was still determined but needed to build up the resources.
"When I''m ready to shoot, I''ll definitely ask you to audition," Nelly said to Penelope. "You''re the first to reach out."
Penelope replied, "Your talent is undeniable. Don''t doubt yourself. Investors follow the trends. It doesn''t mean you''re not good."
Nelly smiled, feeling somewhatforted.
They hade all this way. They could not just give up.
Nina was not ready to quit.
"How much would it cost to produce this drama?" Nina asked.
"At least ten million," Nelly replied. "I just don''t have that kind of money right now."
Nina said, "I''ll be your first investor. This drama must be made, and it has to be perfect!"
Nelly''s eyes lit up. "You have that kind of money?"
"A bit," Nina replied. "And I don''t like seeing promising projects fall through. This drama has to be produced!"
"Ah!" Nelly Screamed with
excitement and hugged Nina tightly.
"You''re amazing! You''re my savior, making my dream of being a

Nina, though slightly ufortable with the hug, epted it graciously.
Penelope, seeing how things were going, added, "I''ll work for free. Consider it my contribution to your dream!"
Nelly was over the moon. "Really? Penelope, you''re too kind!"Content is property of N?velDrama.Org.

Nelly''s eyes reddened, but she quicklyposed herself. "Don''t worry, I''ll work hard and make sure you''re not disappointed!"
They were the first benefactors in her life, and she would never forget this kindness.
Nina had essentially invested all her savings into this gamble.
After making the decision, Nina felt a bit of a chill, as if she were dreaming.
Ten million was no small sum. Most people would not make that in a lifetime.
As they left Nelly''s studio, Nina''s legs were shaking. She felt light-headed, like she''d just left a casino.
Penelope noticed Nina''s silence and asked, "You were so confident going in. Are you regretting it now?"
