“What is it?” Charlotte asked curiously.
“It’s…” Michael ruminated about it before saying, “It’s about Helena. I’m hoping that you can let her off the hook.”

Michael rarely begged for anything, but for Helena, he was putting aside his dignity.
“Michael, it’s not me who’s not letting her off. She’s doing these to herself.” Charlotte was unfazed. “It’s pointless

phone rang, and he quickly picked up the call.
“How did it go, Mr. Brown?”
“As you’ve said, Charlotte has agreed to settle the issues with the news, but she refused to relent when ites to
Helena’s case.”
“That’s why I have to be the one to help you.”
“If by helping you means I have to set Charlotte up, then I won’t agree to it.”
“Between family and love, it seems that you’ve chosen thetter.”

“I never expected you to be so self-disciplined, Mr. Brown. Have you ever thought about how I might be able to

“What do you mean?” Michael immediately asked.

the other end of the line said before ending the call.
