    Not long after, the car stopped in front of the seaside vi. “You should go back first. I have an


    appointment with someone else to discuss some stuff.”

    “I forgot about it before.” Shaun lit a cigarette. He seemed absent-minded. “Don’t wait for me tonight.


    Sleep earlier.”


    Sarah gritted her teeth and forced herself to get down from the car. She wanted to say a few more


    sentences but what was left was only the car exhaust.


    She stomped her feet in frustration. She did not know why, but she had a strong feeling that Shaun


    would look for Catherine.
