Chapter 62: Stacey’s game
“Which pack are you from? Who’s your father?” The man asked in a desperate tone, confusing
everyone.
Athena looked at him nkly, not knowing what to answer. He wanted to know about her identity. But
what identity did she have other than Ace’s mother and Dominic’s rejected mate?
Nothing!
Dominic, Nathan and Justin, they all were caught a little off guard by the question as well. It was his
tone which was responsible for it, more than the question. So, even before anyone could think of
anything to answer, Stacey took the initiative to answer.
“Oh sir, you are asking about her identity?” Stacey asked in a taunting tone before letting out a dry
smile. “How would she answer that because she doesn’t have any identity! She is a rogue! Nothing
else.” Stacey snapped, making everyone look at her in shock and anger, mostly Dominic and the other
two men.
“What? A rogue?!” The council members, excluding the most senior one, shrieked out in shock and
displeasure. “Stacey! What the hell are you talking about? Can you shut up?” Dominic hissed at her in
frustration and annoyance while the other two red at her. “What? Am I telling a lie? Athena? You tell
me, am I lying? Can you deny anything that I just said?” She asked, taking everyone’s attention toward
Athena.
At that moment, she was put into the spotlight. So, anything she says will be held against her in future.
She has to choose her answer carefully. But what could she tell them at that moment other than telling
the truth? Because she doesn’t know her real identity yet. She doesn’t know who she is yet. So, she
still bears the identity of being a rogue. So, she decided that she was going to tell that only, because
she was not ashamed of being a rogue earlier, nor was she going to be now. She thinks that she was a
warrior not a rogue. Because surviving in this dangerousmunity without any support is no less than
fighting a battle.
“No, I can’t deny what you just said because that’s the truth. I am a rogue. I have been a rogue as long
as I could remember.”, She stated with her chin held high, with pride.
“No, that’s not possible. You can’t be a rogue because… because your blood....” The old man started to
stammer as he was trying to make sense of everything he just got introduced with.
He wasn’t holding such a special and powerful position for no reason. He had some specialty in him
which made him worthy of that position. Those specialty came from experience and blessing from the
moon goddess. He could say that Athena was something different using that specialty only. “No, sir.
That’s the truth. She is a filthy rogue which even she couldn’t deny and I have something else which
she won’t be able to deny as well. Can I request for the permission to
bring that here?” Stacey asked while ring at Athena. She had a mean smirk on her lips which didn’t
give Athena Any good feelings. It didn’t give anyone any good feelings. She could feel that something
was up and that something was the bad thing which she was feeling since morning.
“Stacey! What are you doing? What is this thing you are talking about?” Dominic asked with gritted
teeth, he couldn’t exin how much irritation he was feeling at that moment on Stacey.
He made a promise to himself to make her pay if she causes any trouble to HIS Athena!
He swears to the goddess! “It’s something that will prove how filthy she was and how much she doesn’t
belong here! It will prove how much she is a danger for ourmunity!” Stacey snapped while ring
at Athena, making Dominic growl. “Stacey, don’t you dare to cross your limit!” Nathan growled out this
time, unable to bear any more insult toward his future Luna. He would do anything to protect the
respect of his Luna.
“He is right, don’t you dare to say another word against her.” Justin was the next to oppose against her
as he growled at her threateningly as well. Athena looked at both of them in shock and gratefulness.
She felt a warm feeling getting all over her heart, making her eyes teary. All her life, she had no one to
fight for her or stand for her defense. It was always herself and then Suzanne came into her life and
shared the responsibility a little. She felt a little special seeing the guys doing that.
“You guys can’t threaten her like that. If she got something to say, she will say that. We will take actions
against you two if you try to scare her by threatening her.” The man who was taking Stacey’s side
earlier, spoke up in a warning tone, making Stacey smirk.
“Thank you, sir! May I have the permission to bring my guest which will prove all the things I said about
her earlier?” She asked once again while looking at Dominic this time. Because no matter how powerful
the counsellors were, they were still in Dominic’s territory, they can’t do anything but abide by his
commands here.
He looked at Athena to found her already looking at him. He asked for permission through his eyes and
a small yet firm blink from her was enough for him. He nodded back at her before looking at Stacey
with dark eyes and gritted teeth.
“I give you the permission to present whatever you have to show us.” He gritted those words out while
his hand was fisted tightly under the table to keep his wolf in control. He was having a hard time doing
that. “Thank you, Alpha Dominic. Trust me you won’t regret it.” She said with a smirk before standing
up from her chair. She gave Athena a triumph look before pping her hands to signal something “You
can show yourself now.” She said, making everyone confused but soon they saw a shadowy figure
coming into lights, taking a figure of a human body.
