Chapter 52: ns


    A boy around the age of eight was running as fast as his small legs could. He wasn’t even looking back


    and was running with all the dedication and passion in the world while chanting only one thing in his


    mind. But he could still hear the sound of those beasts running behind him howling scarily.


    ‘I have to survive. I will not let them destroy me. I have to survive to take revenge. I will take revenge


    for everything that is taken away from me. I will return and take my revenge.’


    The more he reminds himself of those words, the faster his legs work in the dark night through the


    dangerous forest. He was running through the forest, cutting himself with the fallen branches here and


    there but he didn’t care. He soon noticed the road and a smile came up on his face. He was now at the


    other side of the city, far enough from that burning fire. Now he is safe or he thought so.


    Soon a ring sound came from his left and a blinding light came from the car which was approaching


    him at full speed. And within a few seconds….


    “ALPHA!” Nathan raised his voice atst after trying to get his attention for the past two minutes and


    this worked as Dominic seemed to be out of the zone he was in.


    Dominic looked at Nathan and Justin with a nk face with some past scars clearly expressed through


    that look and Nathan instantly knew what he was thinking. At that moment he regretted calling for his


    attention because it never brings anything good whenever he is back from the thoughts of the past.


    They were discussing what to do with the recent rogue attacks around their area when he suddenly


    went silent. He got lost in the thoughts of the past.


    “What?” Dominic asked in a dark tone which made a shiver pass through their spines.


    His mood was already down as they forced him away from Athena and the memories of the past


    worsened it to some other level.


    “Uhh, it’s okay. We will be backter when you are in a better mood.” Justin said and was going to


    excuse themselves from there but Dominic stopped him.

    “You guys should be used to this mood by now.” Dominic stated in a nk which made the two men


    sigh. He was right. They should be used to it by now. But everytime they see that expression on his


    face, the pressure of that expression makes them cower away


    “We can’t get used to it, King. It’s too difficult for us and it’s not only us, it’s hard for our pack members.


    And it’s going to be the same for Athena as well.” Nathan said, trying to hint to the fact that even


    though Athena was a rogue, she was not at fault in any of that.


    He knows how Dominic can get whenever he remembers about his past. He doesn’t want things to get


    ruined again.


    “Why are you guys here? Just about the rogue attacks?” He asked nkly, swiftly changing


    conversation. They didn’t drag it anymore after seeing the look on his face.


    “What to do with the rogue that we caught on the party day? It’s been three days since he has been


    locked up there, in a miserable state after we threatened him.” Justin informed him. He was talking


    about Robert who was stuck because of Athena.


    “Bring him here and have a talk with him if he is willing to work under me and get me the things I want.


    Because he seems like an exceptionally sneaky rogue. If he agrees, assure him the safety from other


    rogues and even if he doesn’t agree, make sure to keep an eye on him after letting him go.” Dominic


    ordered, confusing Nathan and Justin. They both frowned at him.


    “But alpha, How can he work under you? We don’t know if he used to work for our enemy or not. What


    if h e was sent by Derrick only that day?!” Justin eximed in utter confusion.


    “Just as I said, he is sneaky and selfish. He will work for me.” Dominic stated that like a fact and they


    both easily understood what that meant.


    “Okay, I will talk to him and let you know.” Nathan said with a nod. “But what to do with Derrick and his


    sneaky ns? He used a witch which is forbidden in ourmunity. The water is going out of hands


    now. We should do something before it starts to drown us.” He said with a deep frown.


    “Don’t worry, Nathan. He has tried to drown us enough. Now it’s time for them to get drowned in the


    pitch they are digging.” Dominic said with a dark look on his face.


    “And the witch, try to find her. Even though she won’t dare to do anything more than what she did


    because she very well knows what it means to mess with me. Her wholemunity will suffer because


    o f her. She won’t want that.” He said and Nathan nodded at him, agreeing with him.


    “And as long as it’s about Derrick, don’t worry, I have alreadyid my traps for him and he is getting


    tangled into it everyday, step by step. I will y him some more by using his sneaky ns before giving


    him the taste of checkmate.” He said with a smirk.


    “Can’t wait for that day, alpha. Just need to find the rogue king. Things will settle back to normal in our


    lives again.” Justin added. “Now anything else you want us to do?” He asked after a few seconds of


    silence.


    “Yes, does Stacey’s father know about the change of events?” He asked with a wicked smile.


    “No, Alpha. Not yet.” Justin answered.


    “How about we let him know? After all, he worked so hard for this which got ruined.” Dominic said,


    mentioning about not making Stacey the Luna anymore.


    “That will be a pleasure alpha. I will make the arrangements right away.” Justin said with a smile.


    “You can leave now.” He ordered in a nk tone while leaning back on the chair and closing his eyes.


    They looked at his expressionless face. He understood that his mood was still dampened from the


    previous thoughts of the past. He wondered if there will be a time when those thoughts won’t bother


    him more and he will always be happy, always smiling.
