Chapter 15: New maid


    “Mommy! Mommy! Wake up! Look where we are! Mommy!”


    The familiar little hands shook Athena.


    She slowly started toe back to consciousness. She let out a groan as she opened her eyes and


    completely came back to her senses. Her head was sting. She slowly sat up.


    “Ace, baby, can you please keep it low. Mommy’s head is aching.” She said slowly and lovingly as she


    picked him up. She put him on herp and kissed him on the cheeks, making him giggle. But he


    listened to her and didn’t say anything else.


    “Of course your head will ache. You didn’t have anything for so long and went to cook. Now look at


    what happened.” Suzanne said in a stern tone as she suddenly came out of nowhere with a tray filled


    with food.


    “Suzy? What’s going on? Where are we and what happened to me?” She asked in confusion as she


    tried to remember things but her mind hit nk space at that moment.


    “You lost consciousness. Now we will talkter, first have this food.” Suzanne ordered as she pushed


    the tray toward her.


    “Did Ace have the soup?” Athena asked before taking it. Even though there were too many foods which


    she won’t be able to finish normally, at that moment she was too hungry.


    “Yes, he did. Now can you please stop talking and have food?! Ace, baby, pleasee to aunt Suzy.”


    Suzanne said as she forwarded her hands to take him. Ace jumped to her arms and Athena started


    eating.


    “Thank you so much, Suzy.” Athena thanked as she put the first morsel in her mouth and immediately


    let out a moan in rxation. She was really hungry.


    “Athena, wait a second. I didn’t notice it before.” Suzanne looked at Athena’s face with squinted eyes,


    trying to take a good look at something. Athena frowned at her.


    “What is it? Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face? Food?” Athena


    asked as she tried to look down at her own face which wasn’t really useful at all. So, atst she waited


    for Suzanne to answer her.


    “What happened to your lips?! Why is it swollen? And… It has a cut as well!” She asked in worry as


    she looked at Athena with a frown, waiting for her to answer.


    Athena’s eyes widened as she quickly raised her hand to touch her lips and immediately let out a hiss


    in pain. It was cut badly for sure. She remembered how she got it and her blood boiled. She cursed her


    slow healing ability. Now what is she going to say to Suzanne? She quickly tried to look for an excuse.


    “Oh, this…. When I was feeling dizzy, I slipped my bnce and fell somewhere. And that’s how I got


    the cut.” Athena said with a small smile but she didn’t look at Suzanne while saying so. Suzanne


    believed her without any second word because she never lies, Athena felt guilty for lying but she


    obviously couldn’t tell her the truth.


    “Mommy, look where we are! This house is so big and so beautiful! I love it so much!”


    Ace eximed in excitement as he looked around in awe. Athena looked around at her surroundings


    as well while chewing on the delicious food. It wasn’t the pack house but a two story mansion. It was


    huge and so beautiful. She was on the living room’s sofa and the living room was huge. There weren’t


    any people around them. But she was having the familiar scent in the air which made her wolf purr.


    Her mate’s scent…. Her ex mate’s scent.


    “Where are we?” Athena asked with a frown as she hoped it wasn’t what she thought it was.


    “You are in my mansion.”


    Athena heard his voice and immediately lost her appetite. But it wasn’t the same case for her son who


    was really happy to see Dominic.


    “Superhero!” Ace eximed in happiness and excitement before jumping down from Suzanne’sp and


    running toward Dominic.


    Athena frowned at the scene in front of her which burnt her like nothing else. Dominic picked Ace up in


    his arms with a small smile as Ace kissed him on the cheek. She fisted her hands in anger as she


    couldn’t bear it.


    “Ace, get down ande to mommy.” She spoke up in a stern tone which upset him immediately.


    “But mommy, I want to stay here, No one as strong as him ever picked me up.” Ace said with a pout.


    Even though his words were cute, they cut her heart and made it bleed. She understood that he was


    hinting at his father about whom he knew nothing about.


    “You liked to be picked up by me?” Dominic asked in a soft tone which sounded foreign in his own ears.


    “Very much.” Ace answered with a lot of eagerness which melted everyone’s heart present in the room.


    “Okay, I will pick you up more but for now why don’t you go to the park and make some friends?”


    Dominic asked and Ace’s eyes lit up immediately in happiness.


    “Friends! I want to make new friends!” He eximed in excitement.


    “Great, your aunt will take you there. Be a good boy.” Dominic said with care before dropping him


    down. He immediately ran toward Suzanne who picked him up again. Dominic looked at Suzanne


    coldly before signaling her to leave. She nodded at him before giving Athena a small look, she left the


    room with Ace.


    Now it was only both of them. She was looking at the nk space in front of her with a nk look on


    her face. She clearly felt his burning gaze on her but she didn’t acknowledge it. She is never going to


    do that. Just a few hours ago they were fighting and she said that she didn’t want to see his face. But


    now she was in his house. When will things start going in her way?


    “Why aren’t you eating?” He spoke up after a few more moments of silence. She looked up at him with


    a deep frown,


    He was standing five steps away from her with his hands folded above his chest. His muscles were


    flexing perfectly as he looked down at her with a serious expression on his face. His usual anger and


    hatred wasn’t there. There was only a small frown on his face.


    “I lost my appetite seeing your face.” She mumbled under her breath which he heard for sure.


    But before he could say something, she spoke up again.


    “Why did you bring us here?” She asked in the same tone as him, serious and displeasing. But she


    held in her anger for that time. He let out a frustrated sigh before closing the distance between them in


    two long strides. He stood just in front of her which made her neck angle way too much to look at him.


    “Finish the food and don’t argue.” He ordered with a frown on his face as he pushed the te toward


    her. She pushed it back before scowling at him.


    “By now you should have known that I am never going to listen to you. So, don’t try it on me and tell me


    clearly. What do you want?” She asked in irritation.


    “Why do you think I want something?” He asked with a deeper frown.


    “I am not stupid, ex mate. Till a few hours ago you could care less if I die or not and here you are


    asking me to have my food while acting so civilised. Don’t you think it’s a little cheap stunt to pull?” She


    asked with a frown because she didn’t like this act of his. It’s not like she liked his previous acts but


    acting like he cared before dropping a bomb was not eptable at all.


    “Don’t try to act smart with me, rogue.” He snapped with gritted teeth while still keeping his anger intact.


    “Sure, alpha.” She rolled her eyes at him while still not touching the food. She really lost her appetite.


    But she was still hungry.


    “Finish the food. Trust me you are going to need it. You are going to need a lot of energy.” He sneered


    at him before pushing the tray toward her once again. She yet again pushed it back with a scowl.

    “Need energy for what?” She asked with a frown and that’s when a smirk came up on his face. The


    smirk was anything but good news. It screamed nothing but danger. He leaned a little toward her with


    his hands on both sides of her, on the sofa. He looked at her in the eyes with nothing but a passion to


    make her suffer.


    “I have heard that you used to be a ve at your previous pack.” He stated and waited for a reaction


    or a response from her. But instead of getting any of that, her face went nk Completely nk. The


    emptiness in her eyes almost clenched his heart painfully. But he gulped it down.


    “Yes, I was a ve there.” She replied. Her tone was void of any emotions.


    “Well, that’s what you deserve. So, don’t make the mistake to think you deserve something better than


    that here. Don’t expect too much.” He insulted in a dark and hurtful tone.


    But she didn’t show any reaction other than fisting her hands into balls. She bit the skin inside her


    cheeks to say something which she will regret sayingter. Not because he might get angry but


    because she didn’t want toe out as weak in front of him by reacting.


    “Well, trust me I didn’t expect much more than that from alphas like you and Derrick.” She sassily gave


    her answer which definitely pricked him badly. His eyes darkened and he grabbed her cheeks in a tight


    grip, “How dare youpare me to him!” He growled in a low tone.


    “It’s notparing if you are the same, You both are nothing but egoistic monsters who like hurting


    people more than anything!” She snapped on his face, not afraid of him at all. Her eyes were literally


    spitting fire at him.


    “Don’t fuckingpare me with him! Do you get it?” He growled loudly as his face showed nothing but


    anger. He didn’t like it. He didn’t like herparing him to Derrick. Because he saw hatred and disgust


    in her eyes whenever she talked about alpha Derrick. And he couldn’t ept the same from her. He


    just won’t be able to handle it. The thought doesn’t only make him mad but his wolf goes out of control


    as well.


    Even though he didn’t do anything better, he still wasn’t going to ept that. He was ready to even


    threaten her to change that if that helps.


    “What the hell is happening here, Dominic?” They were lost in each other’s eyes would be a wrong


    phrase to use at that moment even though their eyes were on each other. But they were busy ring at


    each other, nning each other’s murder.


    But the voice broke that intense re and took their attention to it. Dominic stood up straight and


    looked at the entrance of the living room to find Stacey standing there. “Stacey.” He acknowledged her


    presence with a nk look on his face. But the scowl on her face didn’t change.


    “What’s happening here, Dominic? What is she doing here?” Stacey asked angrily while ring at


    Athena. But for some reason Athena smirked at her teasingly. It’s too much fun to see Stacey pissed


    off. But her face fell the moment she heard Dominic.


    “Stacey, baby, our house is so big. We need someone to clean it and from now on she is going t o do


    the work.” He dered with a smirk as he looked at Athena.


    Athena looked away from both of them. She put on her signature nk look. She was not going to give


    them the satisfaction by showing her emotions.


    On the other hand, Stacey was shocked would be an understatement. She was shocked because of


    two reasons. First, because of his sweetness. He never called her anything lovingly and secondly


    because he said ‘our house’ which didn’t happen before ever. All these sounded too good to be true.


    But she is going to take what she got and smirked back at Athena.


    “I know OUR house is big, baby. But it’s our house. You know I don’t like outsiders in our happy space.”


    She cooed while walking toward him and snuggling into his embrace. She smirked at Athena.


    “You were telling me that you are bored alone here and you neededpany.” He simply stated. His


    eyes were on Athena all the time. He was waiting to see a reaction. Anything that might be.


    “Oh, baby! I was talking about small Dominic or a small Stacey. Not a maid.” She said with a small


    chuckle as she faked a blush. That’s when Dominic got what he wanted.


    A reaction, from Athena. Her eyes widened as a few reactions crossed her eyes before meeting him.


    He frowned in confusion as he tried to read them. But she quickly masked them.


    “Don’t worry, baby, you will get that soon. I want a small Dominic and a small Stacey as well.” He said


    with a smirk, in hope of getting a reaction from her.


    “Thank you so much, baby. You made me so happy.” Stacey jumped in happiness before dropping a


    kiss on his lips just in front of Athena’s eyes. She gulped down before looking away from the scene.


    “Whatever. I will try to be happy with what I am getting at this moment. But there’s a problem.” Stacey


    spoke up after a few seconds.


    “What is it?” Dominic asked with a frown.


    “I am going to visit dad for three days. I don’t want to leave you here with her alone. It’s not like I don’t


    trust you but I don’t trust her. After all she is a rogue and you know most of the rogue women are


    rogue… whore.” Stacey said in displeasure as she looked at Athena with disgust.


    Athena gritted her teeth as she red hard at Stacey. Dominic looked at Athena in an instant a s he


    heard that. He didn’t like what he heard. Even the thought of that made him feel like burning down the


    whole world. Why? He didn’t know. Or more like he didn’t want to know. He put a stop to his thoughts


    and looked down at Stacey.


    “Don’t worry, I will stay in the pack house till the time you are back.” He answered.


    “Perfect, till then,e with me. I will give you all the lists of work you are going to do.” Stacey said


    with a smirk.
