Chapter 190 “Erase” embryonic form

    Half a monthter.

Terrance was training Castform in an open space outside the Weather Institute.

Its training partner was Terrances Altaria.

In previous spars, Terrance was surprised to find that Altaria was hardly affected by the weather created by Castform.

Regardless of whether it was Growlithe, Beautifly, or Mismagius, they would be affected to some extent by different weather conditions. But Altaria, even in a downpour, showed no change in flying speed. Even with raindrops soaking its feathers, its movements remained swift and stable.

This couldnt simply be exined by strong will. Terrance believed it was an Ability that had not yet been unearthed.

Being able to remain unaffected by the weather left Terrance slightly stunned. He inquired about it with Professor Li, who expressed regret.

There is indeed an Ability where Pokmon are not affected by the weather, and it has already been discovered in Psyduck and Lickitung

Researchers at the Weather Institute had also conducted some research on Psyduck, but unfortunately, its ability to influence the weather fluctuations was too weak.

Even when applied to oneself, it was barely effective. Moreover, one had to also consider the severity of the weather, making it impossible to utilize the source for isting the weather of a region.

Psyduck is not good enoughLickitung is not good enough, and Altaria is not good enough either. If there is a Pokmon like them that has the ability to iste weather, and the source of this ability is strong enough to affect arge areathen it may be possible to make progress in the research on isting weather.

Terrance understood. In simpler terms, Altarias ability to iste the weather could only affect itself In other words, it could also be said that the intensity of its influence on the weather was not strong enough to have arge-scale impact.

As Pokmon grow stronger, will their Abilitys influence also increase? Terrance asked.

Yes, but it doesnt mean much. While some Pokmon have the same Ability, the underlying principles differ depending on the anatomy of different Pokmon species. What were seeking is precisely this principle. Unfortunately, the principle knowledge found in Pokmon like Psyduck, Lickitung, and Altaria is still unable to alter the weather of arge area, Professor Li exined.

    Castform, Hydro Pump!

    Altaria, Dragon Pulse!

The daily training proceeded as usual, but due to some special training, Altarias execution of its moves was always slightly dyed.

However, Castform was unaware of what special training Altaria was undergoing and simply thought that Altarias execution of moves was slower than its own.

This led to Altarias actions not only startling Terrance but also surprising Castform.

Instead of breaking through the Hydro Pump as usual with Dragon Pulse, as Hydro Pump got closer, Altaria let out a loud cry and then

    Bang!

    The Hydro Pump exploded.

    Castform stared nkly.

    Terrance eyes widened

Not only his eyes widened, but the emotions in Terrances heart at this moment were simply indescribable.

This is Erase Technique!! [TN: This was previously Annihtion Technique. Will be changing it because there was no context previously.]

After a moment of silence, Terrance spoke in disbelief, looking in astonishment at Altaria.

Two years..has the sound technique that took two years to conceptualize finally seeded now?

    Was it a coincidence or?

Altarias idental sess once again reminded Terrance of the two years spent perfecting the Erase Technique.

Principles of the Self-Created Technique Erase Move.

    First,

The Species it is restricted to: Altaria.

As a Humming Pokmon, its voice can reach a very high frequency, and its touching singing voice can enchant people.

The distinctive feature of its voice is its range and flexibility, allowing it to perform different beautiful songs with ease. In other words, it has a special talent for changing its voice.

Combined with the move Mirror Move.

Effect of Mirror Move: Mimics thest move used by the target.

In other words, to some extent, Altaria can quickly replicate the opponents move through Mirror Move.

Moves like Sr Beam, Hyper Beam, and other release-type moves, or physical moves like Razor Leaf, have their own Natural Frequency.

ording to the principle of resonance, as long as another identical sound wave reaches the same or a simr frequency, that is, the resonant frequency, then the originally small vibration wave can amplify its power by hundreds of times and cause material destruction in essence.

Even a light tap can copse a building, and orderly steps can shatter stone bridges

Using Mirror Move, Altaria can quickly replicate the opponents release-type moves and then through a series of calctions, it finds the most suitable frequency to use its cry to attackeven though the cry may seem insignificant, under Altarias exceptional soprano performance, it bes melodious and resonant, capable of unleashing unimaginable destructive power against certain moves, erasing and disintegrating the source of a moves energy.

It seeded, whether by chance or identThis is a great beginning! Terrance eximed excitedly.

In fact, the limitations of the Erase Technique were quite significant. Its not easy to find the Natural Frequency of some moves energy. It must be moves that Altaria has been in touch with for years.

It may seed once or twice through continuous defeats and the umtion of experience against simple moves like Water Gun, Hydro Pump, methrower, and Thunderbolt.

But those obscure moves that Altaria encounters maybe once in several years? Finding the Natural Frequency after witnessing them just once thats utterly impossible!

So, the Erase Technique can only deal with some simple, mon moves.

And sure enough, Altarias first sess was against amon move Hydro Pump!

In the intense training sessions with Castform during these days, Altarias exposure to Hydro Pump increased again, leading to a behavior where, before using Dragon Pulse, Altaria spent some time to use Mirror Move to find the Natural Frequency and finally seeded once!

Terrance then let Altaria imitate it again and again. With the experience of one sessful attempt, Altarias sess rate increased significantly.

Out of five Hydro Pump by Castform Altaria found the Natural Frequency once again!

Originally, it was only with Altarias enhanced Dragon Pulse that Hydro Pump could be destroyed But now, with just a simple cry, Hydro Pump was obliterated before it even arrived!

Seeing the sess of the Erase Technique Terrance felt a great sense of achievement.

However, this is just the beginning. Erase Technique cannot be limited to just one move like Hydro Pump. But with one sessful experience, the feasibility of this technique has been proven!

Alright, lets continue! Terrance addressed Altaria and Castform.

While watching the two Pokmon continue to practice, Terrance felt it necessary to re-n the Erase Technique once again. The embryonic form of Erase has appeared, and the next step is to let this embryonic form grow to perfection.
