Chapter 459 Meeting the Lu n cultivators


    "Junior brother, what is your name?", the girl who was escorting Zhan Chen to the Lu n''s residence asked. There was deep curiousity in her pretty eyes as she looked towards Zhan Chen.


    "Senior sister, forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. I am Zhan Chen, a newly joined disciple of the Xuantian sect", Zhan Chen replied.


    "Zhan Chen! I have heard this name before. But I can''t recall where I have actually heard it", the pretty girl muttered. She tried to think hard but she couldn''t recall where she had heard the name Zhan Chen.


    ''I will ask about him when I go back'', she decided in her mind as she kept talking with Zhan Chen in their way.


    "Junior brother, I am Shi Rong from the Crimson fire peak. You can look for me if you face any problem in the future", the pretty girl spoke with an enthusiastic expression. A small smile appeared on Zhan Chen''s face after he saw how eager she was in helping him.


    "Senior sister, I will keep your words in mind", Zhan Chen replied. He bade farewell to her after arriving infront of Lu n''s residence.


    The Lu n was given a mansion adjacent to the Xuantian sect''s base. Compared to the Xuantian sect''s base, they had very few guards watching over their residencial ce.


    "Zhan Chen! What are you doing in the Grey ash city?", a Lu n cultivator inquired after seeing Zhan Chen. Zhan Chen recalled that he had seen the same cultivator in the Lu n group who were participating in the Grand sectpetition.


    "What happened to your n? I have heard that Lu n is facing some sort of trouble now", Zhan Chen asked.


    "Have not you heard anything?", the Lu n cultivator eximed. Zhan Chen shook his head as he was indeed clueless about the ongoing situation involving Lu n.


    "Our Lu n was assigned to guard the Oakrest city. But yesterday we faced the sudden attack of the devils and we were utterly defeated. Many of my nmen were dead now", the Lu n cultivator spoke with a sorrowful expression.


    "I have heard that three bases were attacked yesterday. Two bases werepletely annihted and one base managed to resist. Don''t tell me, Lu n was guarding one of the bases which werepletely annihted?" Zhan Chen asked. He felt slightly restless after listening to the Lu n''s predicament.


    "Yes, the base of the Oakrest city which our Lu n was guarding has fallen yesterday", the Lu n cultivator nodded his head. There was myriad of emotions welling up in his heart as he spoke with "Is senior Tai cang present in the Grey ash city? If he is present, I would like to talk with him", Zhan Chen asked. (Here Tai Cang referred to Lu Tai Cang- the Lu n elder who was guarding Zhan Chen and his women during the Grand sectpetition).


    "Of course, he is present. Even our first elder, who generally spends time in seclusion hase to the Grey ash city", the Lu n cultivator replied. He brought Zhan Chen into the Lu n''s residence and took him to the first floor.


    Lu Gang, who is he?", a pleasant yet strict voice entered Zhan Chen''s ears after he climbed to the first floor.


    "Elder sister Yumei, he is Zhan Chen. He hase to see our fourth elder", Lu Gang replied. Zhan Chen took a look at the beautiful silhouette who was talking with Lu Gang at the moment.


    Lu Yumei was a beautiful girl with a slender body and pretty face. The strict expression on her face made her more attractive and charming to Zhan Chen''s eyes.


    "Why are you here? Don''t you know what our Lu n is facing at the moment?", Lu Yumei red towards Zhan Chen after hearing Lu Gang''s words. There was a resentful expression on her face which caught Zhan Chen off-guard.


    ''What is with this girl?'', he thought to himself with a puzzled expression.


    "Yumei, don''t be rude to our guest. Bring him inside", a calm voice suddenly came from a distance.


    Lu Yumei clenched her hands and tried to calm herself after hearing the words that came from a distance. "Follow me", she looked towards Zhan Chen with a nd expression as she started to walk towards the distance.


    "Zhan Chen, I am leaving then", Lu Gang bade his farewell. Zhan Chen nodded his head and followed after Lu Yumei.


    There were five cultivators sitting inside a wide room when Lu Yumei brought Zhan Chen inside. Among the five cultivators, there was an emperor and rest of the cultivators werete Tribtion realm experts. All of them raised their heads to take a look at Zhan Chen when Lu Yumei brought him inside.


    "Little friend, please take a seat", the emperor realm expert spoke. Zhan Chen bowed his head slightly towards the five experts before walking towards an empty seat.


    "Yumei, wait outside", Lu Tai Cang spoke after Zhan Chen took his seat. An indignant expression appeared on Lu Yumei''s face but she still managed to control her emotion and left the room.


    "Zhan Chen, don''t mind the little girl. She resents the fact that we are giving you some special treatment", the emperor realm expert spoke.


    "Senior, how can I? There are bound to be some opposing voice no matter which decision you take", Zhan Chen spoke. A slightly surprised expression appeared on the emperor''s face after he heard Zhan Chen''s words.


    "Little friend, you are really calm andposed. Moreover, you are talented and clever. No wonder, our grand elder is hell bent on supporting you", the emperor spoke.


    "Senior, surely jest. I only have little capabilitypared to everyone present here", Zhan Chen replied.


    "Zhan Chen what brings you here? Are you nning to participate in the Grey ash city''s battle?", Lu Tai Cang asked.


    "I have heard that Lu n is in trouble after reaching the city. I have never imagined that you will suffer such a serious set back in the beginning of the battle", Zhan Chen spoke.
