One of the three Senior Rank foxesunched itself at Mage Feather who used her wings to block the assault. The attack from one such enemy is not too much for her to handle but she is currently facing three of them


    After one fox attacked her, the other two also pounced at her. One moved to her right and the other moved to her left, ready to attack her on both sides


    Without a choice, Mage Feather jumped back to dodge but she soon halted her steps. In the battle against Senior Rank entities, the area that they can cover is farrger than Junior Rank entities


    Even a single step might be more than a hundred meters in distance and if that is the case, the students will have a better chance of dying. Even a weakened stray attack from these foxes is enough to kill more than one of the fleeing students


    After realizing that she cannot dodge and she has to face these foxes head-on, Mage Feather gritted her teeth as she pointed her magic wand at the enemies


    A magic circle immediately formed as arge amount of mana was poured into it. The amount of mana that was mobilized was already greater than the mana that those at the peak of the Junior Rank possessed yet this is just the activation of one spell. From this alone, it was clear to see how vast the difference between the Junior Mages and Senior Mages


    "[Feathers of Ailments!]" Mage Feather muttered as she attacked with three gray-colored feathers that struck the foxes


    However, although the feathers were fast to the point that the foxes were not able to dodge them, their direct offensive power was less than desirable. Aside from poking a small hole in the foxes'' bodies and causing them to shed a small amount of blood, the magic beasts are not injured much


    This attack of hers also gave the foxes the chance to catch up and their sharp ws glowed with a grayish light as they attacked her mercilessly


    Mage Feather moved her already tattered pair of wings to once again block the attack of three magic beasts at her level. At this point, the feathers were easily destroyed and damaged feathers fell to the ground


    This managed to sessfully block one of the three foxes'' attack but the other two still continued and it was at this moment that a scroll flew out of Mage Feather''s spatial storage and it was set on fire on its own


    As soon as the scroll was burned, a wall of fire appeared between the mage and the magic beasts


    "Krrugghhh!!"


    The two magic beasts cried out in pain as they felt a burning sensation on their ws while Mage Feather stared at the wall of fire with a pained expression on her face


    That scroll is definitely not cheap to not only block the attack of two magic beasts at the Senior Rank but also able to inflict burn damage on them


    Still, the usage of the magic scroll gave Mage Feather some breather and more scrolls flew out of her spatial storage. These new scrolls are not as powerful as the wall of fire but they are more numerous


    Mage Feather has not forgotten her priorities. What she should be doing is not to defeat and kill the three magic beasts at the expense of her life. She only has to stall for time until the other Instructors or even the Headmaster arrives to ughter these damned beasts


    She just has to keep these beasts upied to prevent them from attacking the students to give them a higher chance of survival


    For her goal, it is better to use numerous annoying but weak magic scrolls than a strong magic scroll that is not enough to kill the three foxes


    One magic after another was released due to the activation of the magic scrolls and theynded on the magic beasts. While these magics are not enough to heavily injure the magic beasts, they at least dy their movement and also give them light injuries


    While humans generally are not as strong as magic beasts at the same level, they have their weapons such as magic artifacts, potions, magic scrolls, etc.


    Not all such weapons will help them be as strong as the magic beasts but the high quality ones will give them the ability to fight even magic beasts at a higher level than them


    Just as Mage Feather nned on continuing with her petty tricks, one of the magic beasts actually blended in the shadow and appeared behind her


    This caught her a bit off guard and she could only try her best to move to the side to avoid that attack


    Ssh!!


    Even though Mage Feather was quick to move despite being caught off guard, she was still not able to keep herself from getting injured


    A long trail of bloody wound can be seen on her left arm. Her blood flew around before her wounds continued to drip even more blood. The sharp w of this magic beast rendered her left arm almost useless!


    Fortunately, her mage robe started releasing green-colored specks of light that entered her wound causing it to start healing


    "That was close! If not for the fact that my [Feathers of Ailments] finally showed its effects, my entire arm might have been cut off!" Mage Feather thought in fear


    Despite possessing magic scrolls and other weapons, how easy it is to close the gap between one Senior Rank Mage against three magic beasts at the same rank? It was not easy at all and one mistake can lead to serious consequences


    "However, since they are Senior Rank Magic beasts, my [Feathers of Ailments] will notst long!" She continued as she stared at the three magic beasts


    Her magic spell just like its name implies gave ailments to the targets. The magic beast that attacked her and severely injured her left arm suffered from paralysis and that is the only reason why her left arm was still intact. If the fox were able to move at its peak earlier, the result would be different


    As for the other two foxes, one of them grew painful blisters on its body while the other one is in better shape as it only started coughing a bit but nothing serious like the other two. The [Feathers of Ailments] is like a spell of gambling. You wouldn''t know what type of ailment and how severe it would be


    Even while coughing, the magic beast still showed its ferocity as its body grewrger than before. It suddenly became as tall as four meters and as long as five meters. It towered over Mage Feather and the other two magic beasts


    As a result of the fox''s gigantification, its physical prowess rose sharply. Despite itsrge size, it was able to move quickly and it smacked its paw at Mage Feather


    "Arghhh!!!"


    Mage Feather erected a barrier around her to block. She might be able to dodge normally but she doesn''t want to lower the students'' chance of survival


    It has not been a long time since the magic beasts appeared and with how fast Senior Rank entities move, few attacks might only need them to spend a few seconds. It was not enough for the students to go far especially since they are being pursued by other magic beasts


    As such, Mage Feather still doesn''t have the luxury to move freely and despite the ''power up'' of her opponent, she can only block and not dodge


    Almost immediately, the barrier cracked from the impact, and even the ground that Mage Feather was standing on caved in


    Blood flowed out of her lips due to the impact. Her hand that was holding her magic wand trembled as he poured more mana to forcefully maintain the barrier


    However, it was at this moment that the other magic beasts attacked again. They are notpletely free from the effects of the [Feathers of Ailments] yet but as magic beasts at the Senior Rank, they are now already able to move to some extent and they send beams of elemental power to the mage


    The barrier trembled even harder as more cracks appeared and the mage could only grit her teeth. While spending a bit of her mental power, she retrieved a potion from her storage space. Using magic, this small vial of potion floated in front of her, uncapped itself and she drank the vial''s content


    At the same time that happens, the barrier finally broke and she was struck by the pincer attacks


    However, her body emitted mana that suddenly surged and became violent like a violent storm. Senior Rank mages no doubt have a lot of mana but they are not to this amount and not to mention this violent


    No doubt that this was the result of Mage Feather taking that potion but such potions usually have severe side effects
