However, at least formally, the production of werebeast nuclei was the reason. The nuclei might even be something that was created all for the sake of hiding the Serpentine Empress’s real motive

Without even lifting a finger, the space was already on the brink of shattering, showing the dreadful might of a 7th-rank mage
While 6th fusion rank mages could cause the space to tremble with their powerful spells, it was not to the point of directly shattering the fabric of space itself. Much less doing so just by using their aura
If not for the Space Monarch controlling himself, the space would have shattered already. If that happens, a terrible spatial storm would ur that could shred even mages at the level of Dominant Sky and Bone Sage
“You wouldn’t want to fight here, right?” Shadow Snake was not the least bit unperturbed by the might of Space Monarch

With a harrumphed, Space Monarch created a hole in space and entered it. Shadow Snake himself did the same thing and they both vanished
When they reappeared, they are already in the space called the edge of the world. Battles at the level of 6th fusion rank mages mostly ur in the skies while 7th rank mages ur in the edge of the world, infinitely close to the endless void of space
“Shall we begin?” Shadow Snake taunted, further fueling the negative emotions that Space Monarch has
The Space Monarch was about to use his ‘real power’ when Shadow Snake spoke again
“You couldn’t be thinking of fighting at full strength, right? As a 7th rank being, you know the state of the world. Our world has brokenws and if people like us use our real power, that would further drain and exhaust our world. If you do that, the mages of your Eastern Country might not mind but the other three countries definitely would”
With those words, Space Monarch’s movements halted. Instead of using his power, he decided to fight in the way that most 7th-rank mages do
With a wave of the sagely mage’s hand, at least a thousand sword-type Mystic Items appeared. There were all sorts of swords present
Broadswords, Rapiers, ymores, Longswords, Katana, Cuss, Cross swords, and many more types can be seen
All of these Mystic Items have the power that reached the level of 6th grade. Even a single one of them could make those mages drool
Unfortunately, with the ‘brokenws’ of the world, while 7th rank mages can easily activate these mystic items, giving the items the ability to be activated by lower ranking mages is difficult

In the end, neither Shadow Snake nor Space Monarch has truly won. Their battles were mostly decided by the number of Mystic Items they possess

“Give up! Greenwood City would be our Twighlight Beast’s main headquarters!” Shadow Snake said calmly and Space Monarch cannot do anything
There were unwritten rules that beings at their level must abide by if they don’t want to destroy their world

That’s the reason why the Eastern Country refrain from sending reinforcements. With the fact that they also have spatial mages, sending reinforcements would be easy
However, the opposing side has 7th rank mages. Twighlight Beast themselves didn’t send a number of 6th fusion rank mages that could instantly topple Greenwood City
In fact, Twighlight Beast even suffered casualties of 6th rankbatants but these are necessary sacrifices
If they wish to take Greenwood City, they must also give the city the chance to fight back

As much as Florine wants to defend Greenwood City, doing so would just cause her death
While she was exhausted from helping the normal civilians, the opposing side still has four mages at the 6th fusion rank

Florine has no choice but to flee from the city
“Rezen! You’re here, let’s go, we have to flee immediately!”
In the air, riding a sheet of ice, the exhausted and injured figure of Rain can be seen
