In the sky, two mages wearing fox masks can be seen. One was of a snow fox and the other was a brownish red fox


    They are the two Imperial Lords of the Twighlight Beast and they are here to bring the downfall of Greenwood City!


    On the neck of these two mages was what it looks like a curse mark. It was ck in color that was lightly glowing


    This is the curse mark that the titled members of the Twighlight Beast have so that they would not be affected by the poisonous mist that engulfs the Greenwood City


    Around Space Fox were three mystic gems with power far above those of average mages


    They have the element of Space, Fire, and Lightning


    Above these two mages was an electric bluerge magic circle that covered almost the entirety of Greenwood City


    This magic circle constantly releases streaks of lightning that attack everything indiscriminately


    Whether it be buildings and other infrastructures or humans, the streaks of lightning with a world-ending power would attack them


    The might of a 6th fusion rank mage is more than enough to ravage an entire city. They are entities that are at the top of the secr world for a reason


    The lethality and range of their spells were far above the others. A human city could only keep its peace and safety if there were 6th fusion rank mages guarding it


    Near Space Fox was another Imperial Lord called Snow Fox. Just like Space Fox, she also has her mystic gems on standby both of which are blue in color


    While Space Fox is responsible for maintaining the lightning attacks, Snow Fox on the other hand is there to keep her safe


    Attacking a human city after all is no small matter especially if their goal was to take control of it while banishing the protectors


    A single moment of carelessness could result in their deaths


    The eyes of these two mages stared at the scene happening on the ground


    On the ground, thousands of giant frogs as tall as a three-story building can be seen. They have slimy brown skin with bloated stomachs


    It has a long and disgusting pinkish tongue that swept through the corpses of the dead humans around them


    These magic beasts are something that Rezen had already seen once. They were the Corpse-lover Giant Frogs!


    They can store arge number of dead bodies in their bulging stomachs and with the number of humans dying every second, Greenwood City is like a banquet hall for them


    Along with the Corpse-lover Giant Frogs were the members of the Twighlight Beasts


    Some of them were wearing masks while the others don’t as there was no need


    “Hahahaha! Kill!” An entity that was neither a man nor a magic beastughed heartily


    He has a humanoid appearance but his face was close to that of a horse. Even his legs packed a terrifying power as if they can smash the earth’s crust in one attack


    This creature has long spiky hair the color and hardness of steel


    This is a human that uses the Twighlight Beast’s Werebeast Nuclei and his chosen creature was that of a Steel-haired Horse


    This creature that was neither a human nor a magic beast attacked indiscriminately. His physique was boosted to almost the same level as magic beasts yet his magical prowess was also buffed to an extent


    With the help of his legs, he moved very quickly and one civilian after another died because of his doing


    Not far from this Werebeast was yet another werebeast. This time, it was a creature with an upper body of a human and a lower body of a spider


    She even has more than ten eyes, looking disgusting yet every silk that she spat through her stomach corroded one human after another


    This is a werebeast that used a Corrosion Silk Spider’s nuclei!


    “Noble Lord Madam Freak, stop using your corrosive silk, we need these corpses to manufacture werebeast nuclei!”


    Above the spider freak was yet another werebeast. Just like the others, he has a strange appearance


    His head wasposed of three faces identical to each other. On his arms, feathers grew that formed a pair of wings akin to that of an eagle


    This is yet another Noble Lord that fused with a werebeast nuclei of the Bizarre Eagle. He was previously Keito’s superior!


    “Tsk, I know” the spider freak replied and this time, she only uses her spider legs to pierce through one human after another


    These Werebeasts are just a few of therge force of Twighlight Beast that was dispatched to support the downfall of Greenwood City


    On their necks were the same curse marks as the ones that Snow and Space Fox has that prevent them from being harmed by the poisonous green mist


    “Aahh!! No, p-please no!!” A woman holding an infant in her arms cried out but her cries were ineffective


    The Bizarre Eagle Werebeast dived down and uses his w to kill her and the infant. As soon as they died, their souls materialized and they became visible to the naked eye


    However, as they are already dead, their souls just stood there, unmoving and unfeeling


    “Sigh… these guys, they are too powerful! Aside from the disgusting appearance they had, there is no other disadvantage of using the werebeast nuclei” a female mage wearing a deer maskmented with a sigh


    She waved her hand and casts a spell that swallowed the souls of the mother and infant


    Whether it be the physical body or the soul body of the dead, they are necessary materials of the Werebeast Nuclei


    The physical flesh can be used to manufacture nuclei that would increase the user’s physical might while the souls are for the nuclei that would boost a beast tamer’s ability


    The Corpse-lover Giant Frog is responsible for storing the bodies of the dead while the mages of the Twighlight Beast was responsible for collecting the souls

    “Damn it! They were one step ahead of us!” General Bone Sage cursed. The terrifying soul pressure that he releases could make normal humans and lower-ranking mages piss their pants in fear


    The Military is in the process of gathering their forces along with the assistance from the Preston Family but the Twighlight Beast struck before they canunch a raid


    “General, it would be best to mobilize the army immediately” on his side was Dominant Sky


    The military department and their allies were in the middle of finalizing their strategy for the raid but all the nning are now useless since the enemy strikes first


    ?o??? “Where are you going?” General Bone Sage asks


    “General, I am staying in Greenwood City because of only one person; the holder of the Token of Gratitude. He entered the city earlier this day and with the current situation, I have to go and make sure that he is safe”


    After saying that, Dominant Sky hurriedly went to check on Rezen


    “Activate therge-scale purifying magic!” Bone Sage ordered


    Currently, there was still magic circles both in the sky and on the ground of Greenwood City. One is the magic circle that releases streaks of lightning and the other is the [Spirit Field]


    However, soon, more magic circles formed and ovep with the magic circles on the ground which was the spell that could purify the poisons

    “Announce the start of Martial Law! The military would take over and all mage ns and organizations are to obey us!”


    “Send the soldiers, kill these filthy bastards! We can only fight them head-on and eradicate them as fast as possible!”


    After giving some orders, Bone Sage strode out of the military department and a dirty white mystic gem flew out of his elixir field

    The General casts a spell of the God’s Armor series with the element of bones


    The magic circle appeared on the very ground he was standing on and dirty white light shone on his body that materializes into a thick bone armor


    “Twighlight Beast!” The General roared angrily as his body rose in the air. His fury can be sensed even from afar


    His eyes seemingly pierced the space itself as he stared at the two mages wearing fox masks in the sky

    Bone Sage waved his hand at the side and a dirty white magic circle formed. With yet another aggressive wave of his hand, the magic circle moved and it releases a longnce made from bones


    The bonence causes the air itself to screech due to its impossible fast speed. It flew faster than the speed of sound, targeting Space Fox that was killing hundreds of humans every second
