    “Well met, General Bone Sage” Dominant Sky said in a polite tone that people use on their peers


    Whether it be Dominant Sky or Bone Sage, both of them are 6th fusion rank mages. One is a General of an entire City and the de facto leader of all the mages inside while the other is a member of the powerful and prestigious Preston Family


    Naturally, the two of them are equals. Neither side could be overbearing nor do they have to be extremely polite


    The two of them are inside a meeting room of the military. They were sitting on the opposite sides with a table with some refreshments in between them


    “Well met, Miss Dominant Sky” Bone Sage replied in the same manner, neither arrogant nor humble but still retaining politeness


    “General, I know you are busy, may I go straight to the point?”


    “Of course, that is what I would prefer”


    Dominant Sky nodded her head before speaking again. “I heard that the Truth-seeking Rod was stolen more than a week ago?”


    At that, Bone Sage sighed. “Indeed. The newly elected Vice-general even perished and has to be reced again”


    “With the disappearance of the Truth-seeking Rod, eliminating all the y Dolls beforeunching a raid should be impossible, right?”


    “Miss Dominant Sky’s point is?”


    “General, please raid the hideout of the Twighlight Beast in Greenwood City. The Preston Family is willing to offer help”


    Bone Sage raised his brows. ude might have been the citizen’s Dark Saint but the Preston Family itself is different


    They are simr to other mage ns that only prioritize their own family. They are not the type that would suddenly help for no reason


    After all, whether it be in the Eastern Country or the other countries, conflicts between the powerhouses aremon


    The Preston Family wouldn’t risk the lives of their members causing their strength to weaken if there is no reason


    “If the Preston Family is going to help, I naturally would love that. However, may I know the reason?”


    “It’s nothing to be carefully hidden for nor is there a hidden motive so the General can set your mind at ease. It’s just that, there is a holder of the Token of Gratitude of our family living in the City. The longer the conflict with the Twighlight Beast is, the more their life would be in danger”


    “Oh, if that’s the case then can’t you just help them live in safer ces?”


    “The token’s holder doesn’t want to move and the person that helped them have the token wanted them to make decisions on their own”


    “It’s not every day that the Preston Family’s Token of Gratitude is given. Just who exactly gave it?”


    The General can’t help but be suspicious which is normal. These mage ns wouldn’t make a move without sufficient benefits. As such, he can’t help but think that there might be something in Greenwood City that urged them to move


    “It’s the Dark Saint” Dominant Sky replied. When speaking of ude, she was filled to brim with emotions of guilt


    Saving Shadow Dog and Rezen’s subordinates was not easy even for her and ude


    They seeded but both of them suffered heavy injuries. Dominant Sky can escape on her own but ude was with her


    If not for an entrance to an ownerless Blessed Land that suddenly appeared, they might have died back then. ude’s disappearance filled her with guilt


    “The Dark Saint is still alive and we all know him. Every single dangerous encounter he had turned into a fortuitous encounter that enable him to reach the 5th fusion rank at such an early age”


    “Since he wants to protect the safety and freedom of the token’s holder, even the Preston Family couldn’t go against his wishes as long as he is still alive. We all know the kind of personality he has”


    Dominant Sky didn’t n on hiding things as she knew the misgivings that the General has


    Mage ns in the eyes of the military were selfish and not for no reason. She has to dispel the General’s doubts if she wants the cooperation to be smooth sailing


    “The Dark Saint… I see… if it’s him… indeed” Bone Sage nodded his head


    To the 7th rank mages, even the most talented mages in the country have almost no chance of breaking through passed the ‘mortal ranks’ no matter how talented they were


    There is only one person that everyone in the country thinks has a chance of reaching the 7th rank in the current era and that is none other than ude Preston


    With his personality, it wouldn’t be strange if he were to ept resources from the Preston Family and act as if he was loyal to them but then betray them once he gained enough power


    Of course, ude is not the type of person that would betray people for no reason. That would only happen if they betray him first and they touched his bottom line


    The people that ude decided to protect that is not just Rezen… even his family wouldn’t dare touch them


    That’s how frightening ude’s personality is. He could turn a blind eye even if an innocent person is killed in front of him but once he gained enough power, he would definitely chase and execute the sinner


    He knows when to advance and retreat along with his talent, who wouldn’t think that such a person is frightening?


    “Alright, I agree. The military will cooperate with the Preston Family to eliminate the Twighlight Beast in Greenwood City”

    “Honey, stop swimming already” a woman said with a chuckle


    Her hair was tied in a bun as she wore a two-piece swimsuit with a thin long dress that slightly hid her figure


    She was standing at the edge of the beach while looking at her husband with eyes filled with love


    This woman is not unfamiliar to Rezen as this was his own mother; Yssa Virion


    As for the man she ‘called’ honey, he was Rezen’s father; Heinley Virion


    Rezen’s family was simple. Both of his parents have some talent to be a mage but without a background andcking resources, their path was blocked and they could only be people that are neither rich nor poor


    Yssa and Heinley even managed to retire early while securing their future expenses through pensions and dividends from some stocks


    They wouldn’t be rich but they do not have to work anymore!


    “Come on, we are returning soon and we don’t even know when we could enjoy a vacation again. What’s wrong with enjoying a bit more?” Heinley replied with a pout but he still walked out of the water


    “There’s nothing wrong with enjoying the beach but not to this point! Look at you! You’re already as ck as charcoal! Don’t you feel any pain?!” Yssa retorted, her face painted with dissatisfaction and her husband grin


    “What? You wouldn’t love me anymore if I have dark skin color? Tsk, tsk, tsk, colorism is not good!”


    “I don’t care whether you are ck, white, brown, pink, or whatever. Get your ass back in the shade! I don’t want to hear youiningter about how painful your skin was!”


    “Tsk”


    Heinley followed her wife back to the room that they rented to wash up and change clothes


    The room only has a simple bed enough for the pair of husband and wife along with a single bathroom


    “Hurry and wash! I heard that there are rare aquatic nts that can be bought here. We could buy them for Rezen” Yssa said causing her husband tough


    “Hahaha! You indulge our son too much! He has a farm, not an entire ocean! How could he even take care of aquatic nts?” Heinley replied with augh and Yssa pursed her lips


    .?O? “As if you’re one to talk, look at those” she said while pointing at the bedside table with two ck rectangle boxes. One wasrge and one was small


    “Aside from the seeds of native nts in the ces we visited, you even bought those expensive seeds of Spirit nts! Do you think that Spirit nts are easy to grow? If they are then they wouldn’t be that expensive!”


    At that, Heinley scratched the back of his head


    Therge ck box was used to store the seeds of nts that are native or popr in the ces that he and his wife visited as a gift to their son since they knew his hobby


    The small box on the other hand stored fewer number of seeds since the seeds are seeds of Spirit nts


    To normal people, those seeds are extremely expensive. After all, just like what ude said to Rezen, the seeds of spirit nts are not too expensive but the variousrge organizations manipted the prices


    Those few seeds of Spirit nts are way more expensive than all the seeds inside therge boxbined


    “What do you know? Who knows, Rezen might give us a surprise! If he can grow Spirit nts then he might still be an aplished mage in the future!” Heinley replied and Yssa smiled


    All they want is for their one and only son to be happy have what he wants
