    “Vice-general Brilliant Light, may I know what you are here for?” An old woman asks


    This woman was already quite old, the wrinkles on her face and body were a testimony to that


    Even some of her hair already turned gray but even then, her body was still exuding a robust lifeforce


    Most people her age would already be weak and even just walking would be hard. However, this woman, if she wants to can even crush rocks with her bare hands


    This is because she is a mage at the 5th fusion rank. Mages at this level although don’t have heaven defying physique is still far physically strongerpared to normal humans


    Even an old grandma at that rank can easily defeat a person in their prime through physicalbat


    This old woman is none other than the Matriarch of the Ystantine Family. She was the one with the most authority and everyone from the n must give her respect


    In fact, even outside, she would garner everyone’s respect due to her strength. Even the Military of Greenwood City wouldn’t easily antagonize 5th fusion rank mages without any reason


    “Lotus Flower, I am here on behalf of the military to check the members of your family to see if anyone if them is a y Doll” the Vice-general answered


    Compared to the Matriarch that is already an old woman maybe in her sixties or seventies, the new Vice-general; Brilliant Light is still in the prime of her life


    She is already middle-aged but she looks younger than her age_.


    The previous Vice-general and General of the Greenwood City were found to be colluding with the Twighlight Beast and both of them were executed


    As such, Brilliant Light became the new Vice-General. In a single city, there could be tens or hundreds of 5th fusion rank mages and 6th fusion rank mages but only one could be the Vice-General or the General


    In times of cmities, these two people have the highest authority. The other mages at their rank could only be Captains and executives


    Even the Vice-general and General have to show respect to mages at their level


    As such, the Vice-general herself visited the Ystantine Family to use the Truth-seeking Rod


    Before ude infiltrated the Twighlight Beast and was identally trapped inside a Blessed Land, he left the Truth-seeking Rod in case he was unable to return safely which was the right decision


    Without the Truth-seeking Rod, they wouldn’t be able to discover the y Dolls that infiltrated the City


    “Vice-general, I assure you that no one in my family is a y Doll. There is no need for that” the Matriarch replied as she sipped the tea in her hand


    At that reply, Brilliant Light is not surprised. Many families are afraid of the y Doll Master but at the same time, they don’t want to be investigated


    Although they wouldn’t be punished by the military but once a family was found to have been infiltrated, they would lose face. They would also be put under surveince


    No n wants to be under anyone’s surveince especially if it’s the military. To reach their current state, most of these families definitely have dark secrets that outsiders cannot know


    This is not the first time that Brilliant Light was refused as such, she can only move


    Her light-type mystic gem suddenly flew out of her elixir field before a magic circle appeared below her


    Brilliant Light suddenly turned into a fast streak of light, smashing the table that separated her and the Matriarch


    In her hand, the Truth-seeking Rod that looks like an ordinary bamboo appeared. She doesn’t have any bad intentions but she has to hit the Matriarch with the bamboo to check whether she is a human or a y Doll


    In return, Lotus Flower’s eyes momentarily turned into a crimson red color. From her stomach, a fire-type mystic gem appeared that resonated with the naturalws


    She hurriedly waved her hand and a magic circle formed that turned into arge ming lotus flower shield

    Brilliant Light’s fist mmed on the lotus flower causing her fist to be burned and she frowned


    The spell she used earlier increases her speed but not her offensive or defensive power. As a result, she suffered that kind of injury


    “Matriarch Lotus Flower please cooperate with the Military or you and your family will be branded as a traitor!” Brilliant Light said coldly


    “Vice-general, don’t think that I don’t know that the Military wants to use this chance to dominate the Mage Families in Greenwood City!” Lotus Fire retorted


    Wherever a person goes, a power struggle would definitely happen especially in a world dominated by mages


    In the Eastern Country, the dominant force is the Military. They are the guardians and also the government of the country


    However, they are not omnipotent. In every City, there would be local overlords. These overlords although weaker than the Military but still held power in their respective territories


    After all, while the military is spread all over the country, the mage families on the other hand only dominate one or two territories


    “Matriarch, cooperate! Do you not wish to know if your family has been infiltrated?!” Brilliant Light said coldly while condensing several magic circles that release clones that look exactly like her


    The clones numbered more than a hundred and they filled the room where the two people are


    The magic fluctuations caused by the two women attracted the attention of the mages of the Ystantine Family


    They suddenly swung the door open to check what was happening


    “Vice-general, what is this?!”


    “Matriarch, what happened?”


    “To attack our Matriarch, you dare!”


    The members of the Ystantine Family raged and with them having more than one mage at the 5th fusion rank, Brilliant Light is not their match


    Brilliant Light herself can defeat several mages at her rank. She wouldn’t have her current position if she is only at the level of an ordinary mage


    Vice-general such as herself should be strong even among the mages at her rank


    However, the mage from the powerful families are also elites and the Ystantine Family has more than ten mages at the 5th fusion rank


    They are not something that Brillian Light alone can defeat but she is not afraid


    She is inside Greenwood City. If the Ystantine Family really tried to kill her, the military forces would be mobilized


    “The Ystantine Family Matriarch is suspected to be a y Doll! If anyone of you wants to resist, you would be branded as traitors and the Military will execute all of you!” Brilliant Light shouted and as expected, the faces of the Ystantine n Members changes


    In this case, the military has a proper reason to act and if the military wants, the Ystantine Family would cease to exist


    For the survival of the family, no one wants to make a move and they can only hope that the Matriarch is not a y Doll


    Seeing their expressions, Brilliant Light continued. She returned her gaze to the Matriarch and she was about to move again when several magic fluctuations were sensed by her


    Before she can react, one mage pierced her heart, one mage held her neck with a spell, one mage crushed her feet, and many more


    All the 5th fusion rank mages of the Ystantine Family attacked her at once and her clones dissipated into motes of light before being able to do anything


    This is not something she expected causing her to only guard herself against the Matriarch


    As such, despite her power as a 5th fusion rank mage, she was still put on the verge of death. It would take less than a minute before she really dies


    “W-why…” Brilliant Light asked weakly


    If it’s one or two members of the Ystantine Family, it wouldn’t be weird. But for all of them to attack her at the same time… what exactly is happening?


    As if to answer her question, the human skin of the Ystantine Family members changes to that of an earthy substance, proving that all of them are y Dolls

    In front of the dying Brilliant Light, the space distorted and from it, a mage wearing a fox mask came out


    In front of her was a space-type mystic gem radiating the power of a 6th fusion rank mystic gem


    This mage wearing a mask is no stranger to Brilliant Light. She is Space Fox!


    She was the mage that the Fairy of the Forest fought inside Greenwood City more than a month ago


    With a chuckle, Space Fox crouched down and retrieved the Truth-seeking Rod


    “Who would have thought that such a normal-looking bamboo would cause our organization to forcefully alter the ns?” Space Fox muttered as she stored the bamboo inside her void storage ring


    After that, a ck streak came out from her palm and entered the already dead Brilliant Light’s body


    “Be good and be one of the pieces that would cause Greenwood City’s demise” Space Fox said before she and the y Dolls teleported away
