Without a footing in the air, One starts to fall down but he made sure to send more icy trails

“One, get back!” Rezen shouted. The enemy is a 4th fusion rank mage! A single mistake can result in death
If Lord Keito were to target One alone then even with the cherry bombs, One might still die
Moreover, Rezen doesn’t have an infinite amount of cherry bombs. He has more than a hundred of them that he stocked but even this hundred bombs might not be enough to secure their lives
“But Master…”

Without a choice, One can only return to his previous position with a low spirit
“Interesting… your Tattoo Warriors are quite good” Lord Keitomented before clicking his fingers together
Suddenly, a magic circle formed on the ground where Rezen and the others were standing on
The magic circle was metallic in color and the mana it sucked on the surrounding was way higher than any magic circle that Rezen had ever made
“Dodge!” Rezen ordered in surprise as he tried to run outside of the magic circle’s range but he was not fast enough
“[Mercury Swamp!]”
The solid ground suddenly turned into liquid mercury that was tightly clinging to their legs
The Tattoo Warriors tried to move their legs to help and free their master but despite their great physical stats, they can’t even lift their foots
If that was the case for them, what more for Rezen that clearly has a weaker physique?
The swamp was holding them in their ce, unable to free themselves
“Your strange items packed decent power but items are still items, they are inflexible. How can theypare to the spells of mages?” Lord Keitomented before clicking his fingers yet again and a small magic circle formed
He used that magic circle to control the liquid mercury that bubbled and move with his will
“Ahh, shit this is disgus— dangerous!” Rezen muttered while trying to remove the tentacles of mercury climbing on his body to pull him down
This feels like some sort of tentacle y hentai and Rezen is absolutely not a fan of that!
“Master!” His subordinates called him, they don’t care about their lives but they felt really bitter for not being able to do anything for their master
“I won’t back down like this!” Rezen thought furiously while raising his head
With a wave of Rezen’s hand, cherry bombs flew out, targeting Lord Keito
Unfortunately, the 4th fusion rank mage simply controlled the sheet of metal he was standing on again to change his location to dodge
Rezen’s eyes glowed momentarily, his space-type mystic gem appeared in front of him as he casts a spell
“[Heaven’s Gate!]”
The spatial spell appeared on the trajectory of the flying cherry bombs and they entered it
Behind Lord Keito, another spatial portal appeared and the cherry bombs came out from it
Rezen was watching in anticipation when he saw Lord Keito sneering at him
“[Lightning sh]” the mage muttered. An electric blue magic circle appeared on his chest and his whole body was instantly coated with swimming snakes of lightning
He jumped gracefully and in a blink of an eye, he was already tens of meters away from his original position
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The cherry bombs exploded yet their target wasn’t harmed in the slightest. They didn’t even reach the hem of his robe
Another magic circle was created by Lord Keito and a new sheet of metal appeared below him and hended on it
Despite Rezen using a sneak attack using spatial magic and cherry bombs, he failed to hurt his enemy
Rezen’s cherry bombs were great but they are not perfect
Since his enemy already knew about them beforehand, Lord Keito already unconsciously prepared himself to deal with them
Maybe, if Rezen hasn’t used the cherry bombs prematurely, the result would be different
Too bad that if he didn’t use the cherry bombs earlier, he and his subordinates wouldn’t be able to block the previous attacks
“Damn it!” Rezen cursed loudly, the liquid mercury sucking him in deeper

Zeronded directly on the mercury swamp, his feet stomping hard and a wave of light energy was emitted by him
Those light energies canceled out Lord Keito’s spell and the mercury swamp vanishes, saving Rezen and the five artificial humans with him
“Z-Zero? You actually broke through?” Rezen said in surprise
He just gave Zero permission to train in the Ratois Mountain earlier this day but he already shattered the barrier between the 3rd and 4th rank, this was too fast!
This Zero is really a cheat! After engraving Mystic Tattoos, he reached the 3rd rank instantly. And only after a short period of time, he is already at the 4th rank
This speed of advancement is really insane!

Mages at the 4th and 5th rank can use magic to achieve flight, mostly done by riding on a sheet of their element
To Rain, she can ride a sheet of ice and to Lord Keito, he can ride a sheet of metal. But a real flight is only possible for mages at the 6th rank and above
Rezen didn’t expect that Zero can already fly despite just reaching the 4th rank. It seems like although the path of Tattoo Warriors is dangerous and has side effects, the resulting power is also great
