    Edgar immediately turned around and choked her. His eyes glowed red. “Why did you hurt her?”


    Melody’s head mmed into the wall behind her, and the sudden suffocation made her struggle

    “Yes. Once you do that, I will lessen her pain,” Melody spoke in a trembling voice because Edgar

    Jean froze for a moment before replying, “Edgar, it’s me. I left my phone at home, and I–”


    “Give me 30 minutes. I’ll pick you up immediately.”


    Jean smiled. “I haven’t told you the reason for calling.”


    Regardless, he immediately left the documents on the table and walked out of the room, leaving


    everyone else in the meeting stunned.
