Chapter 21: FINDING ABAYO
Gboyega sits beside a sleeping Richard, he wondered what he could do while everyone was busy, he
felt guilty for noting out to help while in the Gok house he could have prevented all these he
thought to himself. "What do I do now?" Gboyega had been sitting in the room for over 30minute, he
tried calling Ayo''s number but it wasn''t going. He heads off to Papa''s office to look for clues while
searching he sees a strain of hair in a ziplock and picks it up. "Essence." He reads out the title written
on the ziplock.
"What is going on?" Linda says as she walks in angry and confused, nothing made sense to her since
she had met Abayo, she wanted to do some digging by herself but didn''t know where to start.
"I can......." Linda interrupts Gboyega.
"I''m confused, are you a criminal? Why are almost all your friends dead? I know you don''t want me
around even though I thoughting will be fun but at least exin to me." She sounded stressed,
she was about to crack. Linda clearly hasn''t seen things like this before.
"Fine, you''ll need to sit down for this." Gboyega says as he pushes a stic chair to Linda.
"I''ve heard a lot of crazy things but this one is so strange." Linda said, she was shocked after Gboyega
exined everything to her.
"I could have defeated Mr and Mrs Mind if I was there, this is all my fault. The best I can do now is find
some clues." Gboyega keeps the ziplock in his pocket, he had founc nothing else since he had been

searching, Linda phone vibrates.
"It''s Abayo, we exchanged numbers while we were ying games." She quickly picks the call, at first
all she could hear was telling and music sounds butter on she perfectly hears Abayo he sounded so
stressed and disturb, he said some few words and quickly cut the call. "Abayo said he is in trouble."
Linda says.
"Shit, that kid is suppose to get materials for finding Papa." Gboyega bangs a table beside him really
hard, he was frustrated.
"He needs our help he told me that he was in a club called Bounty. We could save him maybe that will
fill in the guilt you''re feeling." Linda was worried about Gboyega, she didn''t like the way he looked and
talked he was at a point of breaking down.
"You''re right, I''ll get my car key." Gboyega says. After awhile they both quickly rush into Gboyega''s car
the club wasn''t far from Papa''s house, Gboyega had hope he could do something and not screw up.
"Thanks for the help Linda." Gboyega says as he starts the car engine.
"Yeah, this will give me some time to explore the world." Linda leans toward the window of the car,
exicted to see what Abuja looks like.
"Huh?" Gboyega asked, curious to know what''s going on with her.
"Will you listen this time?" She said sarcastically.
"Try me." Gboyega exhales and turns off the engine of the car.
"My aunt never allowed me outside the house, she never even allowed me to do anything always said
my powers were dangerous and other bullshit. I had to beg toe here hoping to try new things out."
She faces her head down ashamed.
"Hey, don''t let anyone tell you your powers are dangerous, you were born with them and they make
you powerful." Gboyega says as he pats her shoulder, he starts the car engine and zooms off.

filled with different people partying, Abayo was slightly durnk he had never done something like this
before in his life, he felt like staying here forever just drinking, partying and not worrying about his
future to take over his father''s position in the cult. Abayo gets dragged by someone from the center of
the party, he feared that he was caught be the people he was running from but upon turning around he
sees that it''s Gboyega and Linda.
"You dummy, why did you call us when you were only having fun?" Gboyega was confused and pissed,
he prayed Abayo had a good exnation.
"Sorry, so while I was getting all the materials needed to find Papa I had to go to different unique ces
like Tharka forest, Tund fall and witches zone but upon getting to the witches zone I was caught by
some witches stealing..............." As Abayo was going on, Linda interrupts him.
"Why did you steal?" She asked, she was enjoying the mission but to her suprise she didn''t like the
idea of being in a club, she had heard good reviews about it online but she couldn''t handle being stuck
with different people she didn''t know.
"The material I stole from them was needed to find Papa, they''ve been haunting me." Abayo exined,
at first he sounded frightened butter on he wanted to head back to the party, Gboyega spots three
women wearing hoods that covered their face.
"Isn''t that them?" Gboyega says as he grabs Linda hand and steps back.
"They are alot of crazy things in this club, I''m sure it''s one........" Abayo turns around to look and quickly
shivered, he hides behind Gboyega. "It''s them."
"Linda, take Abayo to the car. I''ll handle the witches" Gboyega said firmly, he wanted to make sure
nothing goes wrong with the n. Linda and Abayo run out of the club, she breathes heavily.
"Why were you even in a club partying?" She shouted at him, pointing out that he was irresponsible.
"I don''t know, I called you while I was standing outside but the sounds got louder and I just went inside
and lost control of the person I was told to be." He says confused about making such a silly mistake.
Minutester everyone starts running out of the club, the whole street was packed with different people,
everywhere was disorganized some screamed about seeing witches floating up in the air and a fire god
battling each other. Gboyega quickly runs toward the car.
"Let''s go." Gboyega shouts as he runs inside the car, Linda sits in the front while Abayo rolls into the
back. He starts the engine and zooms off from the club. "Those witches are clearly bad bitches." He
says and exhales out, a foam of firees out of his mouth, Abayo was sensing something strange, it
didn''t feel right so he quicklt turns around and sees the witches following them.
"The witches aren''t gone, they are following us!" Abayo shouted.
Gboyega, Linda and Abayo get to Papa''s house and rush inside, Gboyega mmed the door shut
gathered different furnitures and pushes it toward the door hoping they have few time to do what they
need to do to figure out where Papa is. "This won''t stop the witches from getting in." Abayo says as he
gets really worried and scared.
"You have a better idea!" Gboyega shouts at the top of his voice.
"Figure one out, you''re the adult. I don''t want to die." Abayo says and sits on the ground crying. Linda
moves toward him tofort it.
"You need to get up Abayo.........." The door and furnitures suddenly explodes knocking the three down,
the witches float inside the house
"Give us....... Our peacock feather back." One of the witches say slowly as she streches her hand.
"What do we do?" Linda asked.
"We fight." Gboyega says as he struggles to get up
Shit!" Abayo shouts as he and Gboyega battle against the witches, the witches clearly have the upper
hand cause they were much more powerful than the two and Linda wasn''t making any effort to help
them, she hid behind a chair.
"I don''t want to burn this ce down, you witches should leave." Gboyega begged not wanting to use
his powers to his ultimate stage. "Linda, can''t you use your light powers to help?" Gboyega steps back,
he sees Abayo getting hurt and runs toward him.
"She has light powers? Dark witches can''t handle the light that''s why they don''te out during
daytime." Abayo shouts, he recited some incantations and the witches body get paralyzed. " I used up
most of my energy, use your powers Linda." Abayo skin was peeling, he had to use all his strength to
paralyze powerful beings like witches, Gboyega moves closer to her.
"It''s simple, just strech.............." A huge soundwavees out of the witches, knocking the others
down.
"I''ll handle them." Abayo recites another incantation and a duplicate of him appears, they run toward
the witches.
"It''s not hard." Gboyega says, he goes on. "For some it is though, just ess your emotions and let it
down you." Gboyega whispers to her.
"That''s hard, all have ever been to was my powers were not suppose to be part of me." She cries out.
"Don''t think about thet, just focus on the energy in you." Gboyega moves behind her.
"I got this." Linda says to herself, she closes her eyes and streches her hand. The witches sessfully
knock down Abayo and move closer to Linda. "I can do this." Linda says firmly and a tiny ball of light
starts appearing out of thin air, she struggles to keep her hand straight she couldn''t control it.
"You need a boost." Gboyega heats up his hand and presses the light ball really hard causing it to
explode blinding the eyes of the witches, they screamed out in pain and suddenly vanish. Linda gently
opens her eyes.
"What did it look like?" Linda was disappointed that she couldn''t see what her powers look like after
using it.
"It was amazing." Gboyega pat''s her shoulder.
"I felt some kind of power in me while using it, it felt so good. I haven''t felt like that for a very long time,
why was mom so gentle and ashamed to use her powers seems like she was really boring." Linda
says, she head towards the damaged things in the house to pick it up. Gboyega couldn''t handle what
she said, he couldn''t just let her get away with what she said this time.
"Gbemi was never like that, she was a woman filled with life, beauty and so on. She always wanted to
explore the world, help people." He points to the chair and Linda sits he goes on. "She made mistakes
like every other human being, whatever your aunty told you was bullshit and lies she probably said it to
you to keep you in her cage." Gboyega sits beside her and sighs, Linda was confused and couldn''t
grasp the fact that her aunty lied.
"She was really all that?" She chuckles.
"She was more than that, she was a goddess I''ll tell you that. She taught me how to use my powers
and so many things." Gboyega smiled remembering all the moments he had spent with Gbemi. "Sadly,
she died while trying to save some people. I could have saved her............" Gboyega voice shakens
and his hands start heating up again.
"Why do you me yourself for everything?" Linda interrupts him as shey her head on his shoulder,
Gboyega had no response to her question. "So, what do we do now?" Linda asked.
"We wait for Abayo to get up." He says, he looked at Linda and smiled, his hands cooled down happy
to be with his daughter.
"And that''s how it happened, they are more details but I won''t want to go there." Gboyega exhales
deeply after exining all that happened to Richard.
"Crazy." Ngozies out of the shadow. "I couldn''t stay inside, I heard everything."
"Go back and rest." Richard says and gets up from his chair.
"There''s no time for that, I hope we''re all ready?" Ayo walks in, after a long walk from the hospital.
"Ready for what?" Richard rolls his eyes disgusted about Ayo previous attitude.
"We need to make a stand, no more messing around. We have to find Papa." Ayo said boldly.
"How''s Tolu?" Gboyega asked concerned.
"She''s fine, she looks terrible but fine. Any clues in finding Papa." Said Ayo, Gboyega points to a
fainted Abayo.
"What happened to him and what happened to the door?" Ayo was confused.
"It''s a long story." Gboyega sighs.
"That''s what I know." Oloogun said as he bowed to Fa''izah, Odi stood beside Oloogun andughed
mockingly happy that Oloogun is failing.
"I warned you about being friends with that bastard, you seriously believe that Papa is missing." She
Trials but this time he had offended the gods they worshipped by not providing the soul of the dead
person. "We can''t waste any of our powers again, out of all those people you met there which one of
them was the weakest?" Fa''izah asked.
"Hmm, a human I still have a telepathic link with her after saving her life. She''s at the hospital."
Oloogun said and stood up.
"Good, you and the boys should go get her for me. We''ll get the information by force!"
