Chapter 1510 Fooling The Fiend

    Chapter 1510 Fooling The Fiend

Darren was now very much relieved. With the Nine Changes of the Demon, he was able to transform

into a pure fiend. Since he hade to the Primitive Wilderness, his ability to morph into a fiend had

    not improved much.

Because of this, once he transformed into one, his cultivation base was reverted to the lowest level of

God Realm. ording to the fiend here, because of his low cultivation level, he could escape from the

    Order Prison if he wanted.

But Darren was in no hurry to leave just yet.

He had discovered that this fiend was actually quite powerful; if he couldpress his soul, Darren

would be able to obtain a lot of soul crystals.

The number of soul crystals was important, but so was the quality. The stronger the creature''s soul, the

better the crystals produced would be.

"Ha-ha," Darren smirked, having alreadye up with a n to get this fiend to offer up his soul

    voluntarily.

He remained in the dark space, not revealing his intentions.

Twenty hourster, another wave of thunder punishment struck.

The violent thunder and lightning hit Darren''s body in a very precise manner, this time going for his

heart. It was not enough to injure him, but he did feel a severe pain coursing through him.

He was calmer than before though, unmoving from beginning to end of the punishment.

"This human brat''s endurance and determination are like nothing I''ve ever seen before!"

The fiend could still recall the intense pain he had felt when his own heart had been pummeled. He did

not believe anyone could bear such a pain easily.

This was why Darren was unmatched in his eyes. He suspected that the God Characters in Darren''s

mind was probably helping him resist the pain.

"Humph! In the next year, all the thunder punishments will attack your soul. I''d like to see how you hold

    up against that."

The pain of this sort of thunder and lightning attacking was no less than the punishment from the

    ming Hell.

It was several dayster and the fiend was left disappointed. Despite his soul being under a barrage of

thunder punishments, Darren only twitched in pain every now and then, not showing any serious

    difort.

"Damn it!" The fiend was beyond annoyed and couldn''t stand it anymore.

"I know you''ve been observing me. What do you think? How''s my resilience?" Darren asked with a

    cocky smile.

    "Humph!"

The fiend walked up beside him.

"Seeing you like this may make mepletely lose my patience."

"Hey, calm down. I havee up with a way to get you out," Darren said with confidence obvious in his

    tone.

"Nonsense. You speak absolute rubbish." The fiend did not believe him one bit.

"Ha-ha, I have thought of a way to weaken you." Darren paused and then said, "Just tear up a part of

    your soul."

"You''re an idiot! If my soul is torn, how could I keep living?"

"I told you to calm down. Just rx, be patient and listen to me." Darren stood up and paced around

the void. "As you saw, I did not feel much pain from the thunder punishment attacks on my soul. Aren''t

you curious as to why that is?"

"Oh? What is it?" The fiend had suspected there was some sort of secret to his ways and Darren''s

    words only heightened his curiosity.

"It''s actually very simple. You know that I have powerful God Characters with me, and one of my God

Characters is capable of rapidly healing the soul. Even if there is only a sliver of the soul left, it can be

repairedpletely within a short period of time.

Since I''m here with you, you can safely tear your soul apart and I''ll recover it for you once we escape.

It''s that simple," Darren exined, masking his devious n.

The fiend was in a daze, amazed by what he was hearing, but soon realized that something was amiss.

"Do you think I''m so gullible? Even if you do possess such an ability, you won''t save me. You''ll just kill

me instead. Besides, you''re a human, and you''ll never be able to get out of here. Why would you even

say you''d repair my soul on the outside? Everything you say is filled with ws. Do you think I am as

stupid as you, that I would fall for your weak tricks?"

"You''re wrong. Behold my true identity."

Waves of ck aura surrounded Darren and in the blink of an eye, he had changed into the form of a

    pure fiend.

    "What?"

The fiend sensed Darren''s aura and was astonished.

    "You''re a fiend? How?"

"I am the reincarnation of Rand, the great superior fiend. I have been disguised among the humans in

order to discover where the human race is hiding. But, there were some mishaps, causing me to fall

into the abyss," Darren lied casually. He was quite convincing.

    "The great superior fiend?"

Darren could only transform into a weak fiend, but the fiendish aura he gave off was iparably

pure. This sold the lie to the fiend that it was possible he was the reincarnation of a superior fiend.

    "I see."

"You should know that with my strength, I won''t be trapped in the Order Prison. I can go whenever I so

desire," Darren said, almost threatening to leave this fiend behind.

The fiend did not know what to make of all this and stood dumbstruck for a moment. He had to admit

that what Darren said was true. The weaker the cultivator, the easier it was for him to escape.

"Then why have you stayed behind to save me?" asked the fiend. He did not believe it was out of pure

kind-heartedness. The fiends were notoriously selfish creatures, without exception. Even if they were

from the same race, it did not matter, so long as they were not rted by blood. There was no saving

others for no reason among fiends.

"Humph! I just want you to follow me and help me improve in the abyss. And then one day I will return

to thend of the Primitive Wilderness." Darren feigned a cold-hearted, ruthless expression. The fiend

would not believe him unless he thought Darren would have something to gain from helping him

    escape.

"Follow you? Humph! Rand, you are probably unaware that I used to be a great superior fiend as well.

We''re on equal footing. So why then should I serve you?" This fiend clearly did not want to be a lowly

    follower.

"Leave or stay? It''s up to you in the end. It makes little difference to me," Darren said icily. He couldn''t

give in now. The nature of the fiend race was to only seek profit from their actions.

    "Grrrrraarrrr!" roared the fiend viciously.

He seemed to believe that Darren was capable of getting him out. The only thing still bothering him was

whether he should serve as his subordinate or not.

"What''s going on? Do we have a deal or not? You only have two choices. You can either kill me and

continue being trapped here, or get out with my help and protect me till I improve and return to thend

of the Primitive Wilderness. The choice is yours," Darren said, seemingly growing impatient.

The fiend heaved a huge sigh of defeat, caving in and finally saying, "I can protect you, but only when

my abilities allow it. Once my life is in danger, I will reserve the right to run for safety."

Darren pretended to have to think it over for a while first. Eventually he agreed, "Deal. Now swear your

    loyalty."

"Damn it!" the fiend cursed angrily. He then swore to protect Rand, the great superior fiend, to the best

    of his abilities.

This oath was invalid as Darren was of course not this so-called Rand at all. But it did not matter; he

was never going to let this fiend survive anyway.

It was not that he didn''t need the protection, but in the abyss, oaths might not be effective. He wouldn''t

    take the risk.

"Okay, get ready to let me tear your soul apart."

"Rand, if you dare cheat me, I will still kill you, even if only a trace of my soul is left. You understand, do

    you not?"

Judging by his strength, it was true he would not die instantly, even if his soul was torn apart. He felt he

would still be able to kill Darren.

"You are too suspicious. Don''t worry, I will not put my own life at risk against you," Darren responded.

"Yes, I don''t think you will," sneered the fiend. As far as he knew, Darren was very weak and would

    soon die without his protection.
