Chapter 1268 Homer''s Death
While Homer had all his attention focused on his back, an even more powerful wave ofw attacks
barraged his front, catching him totally off guard.
"What the...? Are you kidding me?"
He turned pale, the terror clear on his face, and hurriedly withdrew his spear to block the iing
attacks.
He breathed a sigh of relief; thankfully, his rival was rtively weak. As long as he had his spear by his
side to help him fight back, he felt confident he could counter through his enemy''s defenses and turn
the tide in his favor.
But then, his body began trembling violently, his face turned a deep red before the color soon drained
from it.
He looked down to find the ground beneath his feet stained dark with his blood.
"You dirty rat!" Only then did Homer notice that an arrow of rule power had been shot through his crotch
and pierced right into his heart.

"Die!"
The Rule Soul Avatar showed no mercy. He gathered hisw force and targeted it all at Homer''s head.
Homer was already panicking, his life already on the line as he was left exposed.
"Darren, don''t kill me, please. I was sent here to help you improve your cultivation level, on Lord
Yama''s orders!" he shouted desperately, pleading for his life.
He was willing to do anything necessary to convince the Rule Soul Avatar to spare him.
But the Rule Soul Avatar paid his words no mind, they meant nothing to him. All that he could think
about was that this man in front of him harbored a deep desire to kill him and that he had attempted to
do something filthy to Jenifer. How could he possibly let him go now?
Homer''s heart had already been stabbed into, it was over now. He could not hold off any more of the
Rule Soul Avatar''s attacks.
He sat, white as a sheet, awaiting death to take him.
"Stop!"

"Darren, all Homer did was follow Lord Yama''s orders. It was all for your own good. You can''t kill him."

taking Homer away," said the Reincarnation Emperor authoritatively.
"Okay, I believe you. Get him out of here." Unexpectedly, the Rule Soul Avatar agreed. It seemed he
had a change of heart.
"Ha-ha, a wise decision. Come to my pceter and apologize to Homer. We''ll be waiting for you
there," said the Reincarnation Emperor quite pleased and surprised with how this had turned out.
"Okay," nodded the Rule Soul Avatar.
"Humph! You''re so ungrateful," Homer groaned. "If I hadn''t held back ny percent of my strength, do
you think you would have even been able to hurt me? How dare you try to kill me?" Homer''s resent
exploded out of him. Now that he was going to live, he tried to regain some dignity and find a way to
save some face.
"Be quiet! Don''t humiliate yourself. Go back and heal your wounds," bellowed the Reincarnation
Emperor in warning.
That silenced Homer, who then stared intensely at the Rule Soul Avatar, as two guards made their way
over to help him.
As he turned, however, the Rule Soul Avatar shifted and a terriblew force gathered in his right hand.

Out of nowhere, several arrows ofw darted out.
No one was expecting the Rule Soul Avatar topletely ignore the Reincarnation Emperor''s words
and still try to kill Homer. Several arrows were thrust into Homer''s head in the blink of an eye, too quick
for anyone to react.
Only then did the Reincarnation Emperor realize that the Rule Soul Avatar had his own ns. His heart
ignited in a rage.
"Why are you doing this?" he yelled.
It was already toote for him to do anything. The arrows ofw had crushed Homer''s soul.

at a loss for what his next course of action should be.
"All right," he snorted in displeasure after a long pause.
He waved his hand, instructing his guards to carry Homer''s corpse back to his pce.
He was frustrated; he could not do anything to the Rule Soul Avatar until he reported to Yama. He
shook his head and left.
Jenifer came back soon after and learned of what had happened.
"Darren, did you really kill him?" Jenifer asked in shock at the revtion.
"Yes. Do you disagree with what I did?"
"No! He deserved to die!" snapped Jenifer. "I''m just worried about the fact that you killed him right in
front of the Reincarnation Emperor. I don''t think he''ll let us go easily. Won''t hee back and kill us?"
"No, he won''t." The Rule Soul Avatar hade to this conclusion before he had killed Homer. He was
quite sure that the Reincarnation Emperor would not dare to hurt him.
"I hope so. But we should still be careful, just in case.
By the way, when will we leave this ce?" She knew it was impossible for him to stay here forever.
"Don''t worry about that. It is not yet time."
The Rule Soul Avatar had determined that they would have the best chance of leaving when he
reached the Celestial God Realm. By then, all his Hiding Laws would be greatly enhanced and they
could get rid of Yama.
Besides, there was not just himself to think of. He would have to rescue Donovan first and then take
him, Jenifer and Briggs away from here.
"Alright," Jenifer replied, nodding in agreement.
It had been a month since Homer was killed.
On that same day, one monthter, the Reincarnation Emperor came to the Rule Soul Avatar''s pce
once more.
"Darren, get out here!"
"Why should I?"
"You made a grave error. Did you think I would just let that go? Come out here and ept your
punishment!"
The Reincarnation Emperor''s face was stone cold and stern. Darren had only juste into this
territory and had the nerve to kill an emperor right in from of him. If this brat was allowed to continue his
presumptuous and arrogant ways, things would get out of hand.
The Rule Soul Avatar didn''t say a word.
"Brat, Lord Yama is going to throw you into the ninthyer of hell. Whether youe out dead or alive
depends on how you repent for your sins now. Don''t tter yourself and think you''ll get off easy just
because you''ve got a pair of silvery eyes. You''d do well to remember that you''re nothing but a ve to
Lord Yama!" yelled the Reincarnation Emperor.
"Take him away!" he then shouted his order.
He did not want anything more said. He thought Darren would only understand the trouble he was in
when he suffered in the ninthyer of hell, and so he wouldn''t waste any more time trying to exin his
situation to him.
The actual order he had received was to further improve the Rule Soul Avatar''s cultivation level. But he
had made the suggestion that he be sent to the ninthyer of hell, known as the Chaotic Law Hell.
There was contained the most violentws in the world, that would hold the cultivator hovering between
life and death. If one wished toe out alive, he would have to learn to control thesews which did
not belong to anyone.
Needless to say, this was no easy task. Even a true immortal could not do this, only the superior
immortals had any chance of survival.
The Reincarnation Emperor wanted the Rule Soul Avatar to suffer.
Several masters of the top level of the Star God Realm made their move to take the Rule Soul Avatar
away. Luckily, he did not resist.
"I want her toe with me," he said, his eyes fixed on Jenifer.
"Wherever you go, I''ll follow," Jenifer said in agreement.
"You are incredibly naive if you think you''re going to live anything close to a good life there," the
Reincarnation Emperor replied pulling a long face.
When he heard this, the Rule Soul Avatar immediately triggered the attackingw.
"You! You''re going to revolt?"
"Let her go with me," the Rule Soul Avatar requested defiantly, ignoring the Reincarnation Emperor''s
anger.
"How dare you! You are in no position to be making requests!" the Reincarnation Emperor shouted
back.
Bang!
The Rule Soul Avatar remained silent but mobilized thews and smashed one of the guards
attempting to take him to pieces.
He had made his position quite clear; if he was not allowed to take Jenifer with him, he would fight
them as hard as he had to.
"Fine. You are really something," the Reincarnation Emperor said trembling with anger. "Take the
woman with him!"
He had been strong-armed into apromise.
Once the Rule Soul Avatar and Jenifer were taken away, he could no longer contain the vicious hatred
in his heart.
"Your Majesty, he''s too arrogant. If you let him by Lord Yama''s side in the future, I''m afraid you will be
in danger," said one of the Reincarnation Emperor''s subordinates gravely.
"I''m well aware of that, I do not need you to tell me," replied the Reincarnation Emperor, calming down
now.
"So what should we do?"
"Humph, the ninthyer of hell is formed by nature. Once he is inside, even Yama will be unable to tell
what is going on around him. It will be easy for us to do whatever we like there!" he replied through
gritted teeth and a devious look across his face.
