Chapter 1857 I''m Running Out Of Life
Not long after, Rocky had the urge to go to the right side of the periphery of the Demon Sealing Pce.
The ce was surrounded by towering stone walls, making it very secluded and hard to find.
He was greeted with the sight of many martial spirits floating aimlessly inside. He stopped in his tracks
and sensed that they were all at least at the Shura Realm.
He hesitated to enter, even though his guts were telling him to do so. After observing the floating
martial spirits, he found out that they were unable to leave the vicinity.
''I didn''t expect that there would be so many martial spirits wandering around here. They must''ve been
the spirits of the ancestors of the Shura Race, '' Rocky thought to himself with a slight frown.
Rocky was cautious not to disturb them. He took his time to observe the surroundings. Since the
martial spirits were strong, someone powerful must have cast the barrier to prevent them from
escaping. Otherwise, it would be impossible that the barrier cast by ordinary warriors would hold so
many martial spirits imprisoned here.
While Rocky was lost in thought, he was pulled back to reality when he saw a female martial spirit with
a slender body slowly float out of the crowd. Even though she was not real, Rocky couldn''t help but be
charmed. What made her even more intriguing was the fact that she still had some vitality left in her.
Most importantly, the aura Rocky sensed from her was exactly what he had sensed a few moments
ago.
"Were you the one who summoned me?" he asked immediately.
The female martial spirit seemed to be unable to speak, but she knelt down on one knee like a servant
and lowered her head to Rocky.
Rocky hesitated for a moment, but soon he understood that this female martial spirit must have sensed
the holy power of the Shura Race''s king in him. This meant that this female warrior spirit must have an
inseparable rtionship with the n king!
After getting up, she gestured to Rocky that he should hold a weapon in his hand. Then, she pointed to
a stone statue on the side of the area, as if to imply something to him.

Still not understanding what she meant, Rocky walked towards the statue she pointed at.
When he got close to it, he was surprised to see that it was a beast statue, both lifelike and brimming
with life.
He saw the statue''s eyes blink at him as it emanated a very strong divine power.
''This must be the energy source of the barrier which has kept all the martial spirits imprisoned! Is she
telling me to destroy it? But what would happen if I do this? She seems to have something to tell me!''
Rocky''s mind raced.
If the woman really had some sort of rtionship with the king, then she should be able to tell the
situation inside the Demon Sealing Pce. In order to seed in this mission, he knew he needed all
the help he could get.
"Whatever! I need to give it a try!" After putting much thought into it, Rocky knew he had no other
choice. If he released all of the imprisoned martial spirits, they would only affect the Ghostly Demon
Land and not him. Plus, they might even slow down Zain''s and Enoch''s team from approaching the
Demon Sealing Pce.
Without hesitation, he summoned the God-killing Sword and wielded it, and the statue was immediately
overwhelmed by its radiance.
Bang!
The beast statue exploded into fine dust as a huge, dragon-shaped soul shadow shot out from it and
soared high into the clouds, shaking both heaven and earth before disappearing without a trace.
"That''s the soul of a legendary beast! I didn''t expect that it could be used to imprison all these martial
spirits..." Rocky eximed.
At the same time, the trapped martial spirits instantly rushed out of the area, itching to get a taste of
their newfound freedom. All of them scattered into the wind in only a blink of an eye.
The female martial spirit went beside Rocky who was still amazed. Meanwhile, her body gradually
turned real.
"Master, I''m Anya and I''m so honored to see you here." She walked up to Rocky and bowed devoutly
again.
"Please stop that. I''m not who you think I am!" Rocky immediately waved his hand.
"But you possess King Corey''s holy power... You must have inherited his power. Moreover, you have
his God-killing Sword in your hands... Is he already dead...?" Anya asked in disbelief. Then, she
immediately realized something as her face darkened.
"What''s your rtionship with King Corey?" Rocky asked as he raised one of his eyebrows at the
woman.
"It''s aplicated story," Anya replied with a sense of sadness lingering in her tone.
"We can talk about itter. You''re not dead, are you? Why were you sealed here along with the martial
spirits?" Rocky asked with curiosity burning in his eyes.
"Again, it''s a long story. How about you? What brought you here, master? The Shura Race forbids
anyone from entering the Demon Sealing Pce unless it''s permitted by the king himself," Anya sighed
and asked immediately.
Rocky then told her his story.
"That''s outrageous! How could the current king be this foolish? He actually ns to select his
sessor by choosing the one who would obtain Phillip''s power! This is simply too absurd! Did he
think it would be that easy to get a hold of Philip''s power?!" Anya red up in anger when she heard
this.
"It''s futile to argue this to anyone since the king had already announced it. We should focus on the fact
that Prince Enoch has already joined hands with the demonic race of the Holy-Evil World to obtain
Philip''s soul power. I was ordered by Mika, who''s also from the Holy-Evil World, to stop them,"
Rocky answered honestly.
"Mika was the one who asked you? It seems that everything really is destined to happen. I''ve been
wandering around aimlessly for thousands of years. Even though my life is dwindling, I''ll help you with
your mission!" Everything was starting to make sense for Anya. Back then, she and King Corey, who
was also the wielder of the God-killing Sword were sent here by Mika to stop a catastrophe from
happening. Along the way, she sacrificed herself and was imprisoned along with the martial spirits of
herpanions.
"You''re running out of life?" Rocky was stunned to hear that.
"Yes. I''ve been imprisoned here for too long. My body''s already dying as we speak. As soon as I die, I''ll
turn into a real martial spirit. But before that could happen, I''ll help you protect the Demon Sealing
Pce," Anya answered with a determined fire burning in her eyes.
"Okay! I''ve just observed the surroundings of the Demon Sealing Pce. The enchanted barrier
around it should still be intact. Do you know if the demonic race could break into the barrier under
normal circumstances?" Rocky didn''t beat around the bush and asked her immediately. He knew well
enough that their time together was limited.
