    Chapter 1627 Unpredictable

"Humph. Let him be. I doubt anyone''s going to believe him since he has no evidence at all. Besides,

our n is already in motion. He can''t possibly stop us all by himself." Canaan couldn''t care less

knowing that Rocky was well aware of their n.

"But master, it''s still risky to let him go alive!" Ishaan tried to talk some sense into his master as he shot

    Rocky an angry look.

"Stop worrying! He''s just a nobody," the young master yelled at his servant. He then looked at Rocky

and said, "If you don''t leave now, I might change my mind."

Rocky could do nothing but just stare back at Canaan. Even he couldn''t figure out what thetter was

thinking, but he knew he couldn''t stay there longer. And so, he quickly turned around and left.

Watching Rocky go out the door, Ishaan couldn''t help but question his master''s decision. "Young

master, why did you let him go?"

"You may leave now. Don''t bother me if you have nothing else to say." Canaan, who was starting to get

irritated, waved his hand impatiently to dismiss his servant.

Ishaan had no choice but to leave with his mouth hanging wide open.

As soon as Ishaan left the room, Canaan''s face suddenly turned deadly serious. He let out a cold sneer

and said to himself, ''I didn''t expect someone woulde for me from another world. I can sense that

he''s special. What''s more, I can vaguely feel the aura of an imperial member of the Shura Race on

him. Who the hell is he?''

"Layton!" He suddenly summoned one of his subjects.

In a sh, a figure wearing a blue robe bolted into the room and knelt before him.

"Follow that human and keep a close eye on him. I want you to report his every move to me," Canaan

    ordered.

"Yes, sir!" The figure in blue robe answered and disappeared into thin air.

"A war between the human and spiritual race will soon break out. We, the Shura Race, will finally be

able to unite the Supreme Ether Land once again. We will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity

after being divided for so long. Ha-ha! My mission in the Sky-suppressing Mansion will not be in vain!"

Canaan raised his head andughed wildly.

His eerieughter filled the entire room. He didn''t expect that he would get away with pretending to be

the young master of the Sky-suppressing Mansion. Heughed even more as he realized that

    everything was falling into ce.

Meanwhile, Rocky quickly left the mansion and rushed back to the Spiritual Beast Pce to meet

    Shirley.

"How did it go? What''s wrong?" Shirley could immediately tell that something was bothering Rocky.

"Let''s leave the Sky-suppressing City now!"

    He said in a hurry.

Without wasting any breath, the two immediately fled the city. As soon as they left, Ishaan and his men

came barraging into the pce to catch Rocky. Unfortunately for him, they escaped in just the nick of

    time.

Rocky and Shirley flew away from the Sky-suppressing City on their spiritual beasts and headed

    towards the border battlefield.

On the way, Rocky told Shirley what happened in the mansion. She couldn''t believe that the young

master turned out to be such a ghastly person.

"Although I can''t figure out what Canaan was thinking, I can tell that he''s nning something big!"

Rocky added. He felt frustrated knowing that he was just being yed with.

"What should we do now? Should we tell everyone when wee back?" Shirley asked.

"No. No one''s going to believe us since we have no evidence. Even if Commander Wang does, I doubt

the others will. Let''s hold off on telling them right now." After putting some thought on it, Rocky decided

to wait for the perfect time before telling everyone at camp.

    Shirley nodded in agreement.

A few dayster, they finally arrived in the Heavenly Rain Valley and parted ways. Shirley went back to

her organization while Rocky went straight towards the army.

As soon as word got out that Rocky came back, Tucker summoned him at once.

"Basil, you came back just in the right time. I have something urgent I need you to do," Tucker said.

"What is it?" Rocky''s eyes narrowed in surprise.

"While you were away, our army faced a serious trouble," Tucker said as his face suddenly turned grim.

"What kind of trouble?" Rocky had a vague feeling that it might have something to do with Canaan.

"A grandmander betrayed us! He sent our ns to the spiritual race which led to heavy casualties

in our middle army. Our left and right nks were also heavily affected. We''re sitting ducks right now!"

Tucker trembled in anger as he recalled the incident.

"Then what do you need me to do?" Rocky eagerly asked.

"The troops of the middle army are in dire need of reinforcements from the left and right army. The

commander of the left army had ordered you to rescue them with a special group under your

    command," said Tucker.

    "Should we leave right away?"

"Yes. Lead five thousand soldiers and head for the Bottom Pass to join another rescue team, then go

straight towards the middle army. Themander who leads the other team is Deputy Commander

    Moore," Tucker added.

    "Okay, I understand," Rocky nodded.

"If you need anything, don''t be afraid to say it."

"I want Eunice, Kye, and Maxwell to go with me," Rocky said. He knew he could only bring those he

trusted the most in missions like this.

"Sure. Since the Heavenly Rain Valley is safe for the time being, you can bring them with you." Tucker

was also well aware of the importance of this mission. He was willing to give Rocky his full support.

In a short while, Rocky quickly gathered his threerades along with the rest of the soldiers before

heading out to the Bottom Pass to join Moore and his troops.

Two dayster, they arrived at their destination.

The two leaders decided to go to the Sky Fog in first and rescue the troops there.

Three dayster, their troops arrived at the Sky Fog in.

As the name suggests, the in was covered with a thick mist during the day, making it difficult for any

army to attack. But since the position of the human race army was revealed, the spiritual race

relentlessly attacked them during the night when the fog had set. Fortunately, themander of the

troops was a capable leader who led the soldiers to retreat just in time and ordered them to build a new

defensive line. Tenacious as they were, they could only hold on for so long since they were gravely

    outnumbered.

Since it was still daytime, the rescue team didn''t dare to charge into battle blindly. Instead, they set up

camp at the edge of the field and sent out spies to contact the trapped army to help coordinate their

    attacks.

A day passed before the spies returned, and their grim faces were enough to tell how their mission

went. The army of the spiritual race was camped just outside the perimeter of the trapped troops. If

they wanted to get in contact with their trappedrades, they had no choice but to fight off their

    enemies.

"It seems that we have no other choice but to attack head on," said Moore.

"There''s no need to put everyone''s life in danger. I''ll go in alone," Rocky said as he stood up.

"Do you have a way to go in without getting noticed by the spiritual race army?" Moore looked at

Rocky, baffled since they couldn''t afford to alert the spiritual race of their presence.
