Chapter 685 The Two Teams Get Together Again

Chapter 685 The Two Teams Get Together Again

''Bing a mutant owner makes me feel really good as if I''m naturally fused with the supreme

enlightenment of heaven and earth, '' Ricky thought to himself.

At that moment, he felt endless power coursing through him. His body was weightless, uplifted by the

supreme enlightenment as it was. He felt like wings sprouted from his back. There was a perfection to

his new form. The world itself seemed to supply him with the energy to recover himself.

More importantly, he felt his insight and sensibility of martial arts improved to a whole new level.

"It is the Massacring Mutant! I''m sure of it! How could you have the Massacring Mutant?" Pearl

growled, as her usation made her look feral, with ferocious eyes and her teeth bared.

"I''ve told you that this is the gift you offered to me. There''s no harm in telling you. I had the

characteristics of the Massacring Mutant before. I always felt that there was something missing,

something that prevented me from bing the true owner of the mutant. That is the original energy,"

Ricky exined, his voice steady and measured.

"And your source of feminine provided me with exactly the thing I wanted."

    Snap! Snap!

Hearing this, Pearl pped her two beautiful jade-like hands tight and cracked her knuckles. The sound

of her bones rang out like trees falling in the night as a monster devastated the forest. The sheer rage

    contorted her features.

She hated the man in front of her. He was a petty thief who stole her virginity and half of her original

energy. More unexpectedly, he had transformed himself into a true Massacring Mutant owner with the

    energy he took from her.

It was a detestable situation for her. Her wounded ego couldn''t ept it.

"Pearl, your Feminine Mutant can mobilize the feminine power in this ce, while my Massacring

Mutant can also mobilize the massacring power here. So, do you still think it''s a good idea tounch an

attack against me now?" Ricky asked at once.

He closed his eyes and breathed in. The intensity of Pearl''s murderous aura made it feel palpable. He

could almost imagine the faint smell of the blood she wanted to spill.

Under such circumstances, he wasn''t sure if Pearl would choose to fight against him or not.

ording to his limited understanding of women, their fury would forth an unexpected hell. Thus, he

had to indirectly remind her to make a wise decision.

Fortunately for him, Pearl was not overwhelmed by her rage. Gradually, she pulled back her

momentum. It receded along with her killing intent. The long-suffering sigh she let out seemed to signal

her reluctant cooperation for the time being.

Ricky watched her carefully. He breathed out a relieved sigh of his own as he understood that the issue

between them would be temporarily put aside. With a nod, he epted the momentary truce and

withdrew his power and Massacring Mutant.

"Ricky, I hope you remember that I''ll be the one to kill you, regardless of the distance between us!"

Pearl threatened. If she couldn''t throw fists, she could at least throw ruthless words at him to vent her

    anger.

"If you have the strength, you''re always wee to challenge me. Currently, I think we should continue

to cooperate. Otherwise, this Massacring Antenna would fall into the hands of Henry''s team," Ricky

said, before barking out a burst of stiffughter. The sound was mechanical, an obvious attempt to

    lighten the mood between them.

"I know. You don''t need to worry about it," she said, pointedly staring at him, a cool look glossing over

her expression. Despite her cooperation, it would be long before she let go of her anger.

Wearing a light, worn smile like armor, Ricky said nothing more on the matter. As long as she

cooperated with him, he could bear her bad temper. With some distance between them, the two flew to

the rock which Jacob mentioned to them earlier. With a well-ced punch, Ricky smashed the rock to

    pieces.

When the rock crumbled before him, he found arge number of storage rings stored within it. They

scattered to the ground as their container burst. By his rough calction, Ricky guessed there were at

least hundreds of them. Without hesitation, he picked the rings up and put them away.

Among the rings, Ricky found a diamond-shaped token. The front of it was glossed white with the word

"Light" engraved upon its surface. He turned it over in his hand. The back of the token was a cool ck

color, with the word "Dark" engraved on it. There was no doubt that this was the Dark and Light Token

    Jacob mentioned.

"Half of these storage rings should be mine!" Pearl said angrily. Her eyes passed over the storage

rings, a flicker of excitement sparked in her features as she took in the sight.

"If I didn''t n to give half of the rings to you, I would have put this rock straight into my storage ring,"

    Ricky responded with a smile.

Before another word could pass between them, he divided the rings and handed half of them to Pearl.

    Pearl epted them without hesitation.

For Ricky, giving away half of the rings seemed likepensation. It was an olive branch and a rather

small price to pay to ease the guilty feeling in his heart. Even though he hadn''t meant to, he had taken

something precious from Pearl too, after all.

"What about that token?" Pearl asked, pointing to the token still clutched in his hands.

"This token is not a treasure at all. This is an identity token for Jacob''s force. Before he disappeared,

Jacob asked me to help the force he had built if I ever had the opportunity," Ricky uttered with rtive

    ease.

With that, Pearl let the conversation drop, leaving Ricky to wonder whether or not she believed him.

Neither of them intended to pick the conversation back up after that. Instead, they waited silently for the

Dark and Light Rock Array to recede. They couldn''t get out of the powerful array until time weakened it.

As they waited, Ricky could have unlocked his Chaotic Fire Zone to release Tina from it, but he held

off. The situation between him and Pearl was awkward enough. Facing Tina and trying to exin the

whole event to her now would just make things worse. It would be better if he waited until their

business in the Golden Passage was over.

With that decision made, and with hisplicated rtionship with the two women sorted away, he

focused his attention on the storage rings instead.

Most of the storage rings contained a treasure chest''s worth of gold coins inside of them. Each ring had

spiritual weapons and Treasures from Heaven and Earth.

However, because most of the Treasures from Heaven and Earth had been stored for too long, their

energies had disappeared. Thus, they were quite useless to Ricky.

"These gold coins add up to more than 20 million. I''m rich again," Ricky said with great delight. "These

spiritual weapons are perfect for me to cast with and improve my casting level."

Just as Ricky was busy checking the treasures inside the rings, the Dark and Light Rock Array steadily

lost its power at a fast pace.

After theplete disintegration of the Dark and Light Rock Array, Ricky and Pearl found themselves

    inside a giant circr pce.

A formidable array of power surrounded the pce. The passage on its left connected to the Heavenly

Passage, while the one on its right connected to the Golden Passage.

At the right front of the pce, there was a pair of golden gates. Ricky and Pearl were sure that the

heritage of the Massacring Holy Ant tribey hidden behind those gates.

As soon as Ricky and Pearl appeared in the center of that ce, they saw Henry and hispanions.

"You two made us wait quite a while!" Henry breathed the words with a sigh of relief. His eyes darted

between them to make sure they were there. For a moment, he felt a real fear that maybe Ricky and

Pearl would die in the Golden Passage.

"We were dyed by thest level. It was very time-consuming!" Ricky said simply, shrugging off any

    concern for his well-being.

At the same time, he gave a slight nod to Thiago, who was on the same team with Henry. It was a

polite gesture. After all, there was no history of backstabbing between them and no reason for them to

    be enemies.

"So, did you get the Massacring Antenna?" Their safety assured, Henry no longer tried to hide the

    expectation in his voice.

"Of course we got it. How about you three?" Ricky asked with a smile.

He could feel the giddy excitement that radiated from Henry. It was obvious from the first moment he

all, in front of a tribe''s heritage, no spiritual king would be able to keep calm as usual!

"We also got it," Henry said simply.

With such a brief reply, the atmosphere around them became grim and suppressed. The tension was

foreboding and familiar. It was the same kind of tension that preceded murderous intents and fierce

    fights.

Now that they found the two Massacring Antennae, they would soon need to determine the rightful

heirs of the Massacring Holy Ant tribe.

Neither team would ept anypromise like sharing the inheritance between them.

To be precise, three teams were battling for the same prize. Ricky and Pearl were only temporarily

united as a team. At any given time, they could decide to split up and furtherplicate the issue.

"Then, as for the inheritance of the tribe, who should have them?" Ricky asked directly. They all

needed to face the question sooner orter.

That simple question opened up a can of worms among them. It silenced all the warriors and rooted

them to the spot. A silence pervaded the room, the deadly calm before the storm.
