Chapter 600 Mighty Ghosts
Hearing what Terrence and Soar said, Ricky and the others just couldn''t wait to get a closer look at the
tree.
"However, before we get to the Enlightening Tree, we have some troubles to deal with," Ricky said as a
sh of fighting spirit appeared in his eyes.
Something let out a strong howl in the distance. As Ricky''s voice trailed off, a horrible howl was heard
clearly by Ricky and his friends.
Those skeletons which had been floating on the surface of theke were now moving violently as they
flowed along the dark water. Tens of thousands of giant dark shadows that looked like ghosts then
appeared out of nowhere.
Apart from that, the dark ghosts were constantly absorbing the energy of the Dark Enlightenment from
the dark water.
Amidst the howling and roaring of the ghosts, they casted murderous nces as sharp as arrows at
Ricky and his friends. If those nces could kill, they all would''ve died in an instant.
However, in spite of what they were capable of doing, the ghosts failed to draw the attention of Ricky
and his friends who were still busy straining their eyes to figure out what was at the center of theke.
Standing at the center were two shadows. One of them looked like a human that emitted a terribly
powerful aura. The other shadow seemed more like in the form of a tiger or wolf.
"Without a doubt, they must be the leaders of this swarm of ghosts," Ricky said with certainty.
"I can deal with the ghost in the form of a tiger. But that human-shaped ghost is way more powerful
than me. I''m afraid that its power may be at the peak of a second-ss middle spiritual king," Terrence
replied apprehensively.
"Don''t worry, I''ll take care of it," Ricky answered. It was clear that his morale had been boosted.
"Of course it''s yours. Who else can be a match for that prick?" Terrenceughed.
"Soar, I''m sure you can handle fighting those hundreds of minor ghosts and not be defeated, right?
Actually I think you might even enjoy fighting them," Terrence turned around and said to Soar with a
grin on his face.
"That sucks. Who are you ordering me to deal with those bastards again? You are robbing me of the
fun and I''m starting to get bored," Soar replied unpleasantly after hearing what Terrence just said to
him.
"But you''re right. I can''t win against either of those ghost leaders and you have to leave those minor
ghosts to me. It''s totally my fault that I''m much weaker than you and Ricky."
"Ha-ha!" Ricky and Terrence exchanged nces as theyughed hysterically.
"We''re also here to help!" Samson and his sister said. After having a proper rest, they had finally fully
recovered their health and strength.
"Then, you three great warriors should be able to kick their asses without getting yourselves hurt,"
Ricky said as he felt confident that they wouldn''t be stupid enough to make mistakes that would result
in them getting badly wounded.
At the same time, the ghosts were beginning to be quite restless as they started to move forward.
Their bodies emitted Dark Enlightenment as they suddenly crawled out of theke.
Their bloody eyes were filled with greed and killing intention. They craved for human blood and flesh.
They just couldn''t resist the temptation to eat human bones and drink their blood. They always found
the taste of human flesh much better than that of the Enlightening Fruits.
Ricky and Terrence ignored the minor ghosts and left Soar and his helpers to take care of them. They
moved quickly across the surface of theke and stopped at the center of theke, floating right in front
of the two ghost leaders.
"Intruders, sacrifice your flesh and blood!" the two ghost leaders said in a crackling sound after seeing
the two human beings before them.
However, their affirmative and firm voices obviouslycked psychic intelligence. They clearly knew
nothing apart from recognizing the two opponents as meat and blood that they could consume.
"We may be lucky today. It seems that these two ghost leaders only have a little psychic intelligence,"
Ricky said to Terrence.
"Having eaten the Enlightening Fruits for so many years did help them gain some psychic intelligence,"
Terrence answered with a nod. As his voice trailed off, both Ricky and Terrence shifted their attention
towards the ck fruits. They knew those fruits were what they were looking for—the legendary
Enlightening Fruits.
But before they could get their hands on any of those desirable fruits, they had to eliminate the two
ghost leaders standing in their way first.

"Buddy, I think you should take on the human-shaped ghost," Terrence whispered to Ricky. He then
turned himself into the ck Peafowl and flew towards the tiger-shaped ghost leader at the speed of
light.
His sudden movement and attack angered his opponent.
It howled like a cornered beast as it rushed towards Terrence.
Terrence''s superior blood could usually be sensed thousands of miles away and thus he had
sessfully drawn the attention of the ghosts long before he had realized their very existence.
Within several seconds, Terrence and the tiger-shaped ghost leader had already exchanged hundreds
of blows. In spite of owning a small quantity of psychic intelligence, the ghost leader was crazily driven
by his blood-thirsty desires. At the very beginning of the battle, it had already used its dark power.
Terrence was beaten several times before he regained hisposure. He tried his best to defend and
attack at the same time. It seemed that their battle wasn''t going to end anytime soon.
"A different enemy to kill. But I will be the one left standing in the end. After surviving this battle, I''ll
have a more profound understanding of the Killing Swordsmanship," Terrence muttered to himself in a
serious tone as he felt his arms and legs aching from the battle.
In spite of all the difficulties, his determination to win was boosted even more.
"Terrence, hold on. I''m certain this battle will teach you a lot about the further meaning of the Killing
Swordsmanship," Ricky said to Terrence through the telepathic link when he felt the rise of Terrence''s
confidence.
"You should also proceed cautiously. The human-shaped ghost leader is not some weakling you can
easily take on," Terrence replied to warn Ricky of the possible dangers.
"Thanks. But we have got apetition before us. Between you and me, whoever kills his enemy first
is the winner. Do you like how that sounds?" Ricky smiled.
"You''re on!"

The next moment, Ricky also started his own attack against the human-shaped ghost leader.
In the distance end of theke, Soar and his helpers were also engaged in their intense fighting. Since
Soar had cultivated the Heaven Melting Fire and the Heaven Melting Pagoda, the hundreds of minor
ghosts couldn''t really impose any sort of serious threat towards him.
Several rounds of fightingter, Ricky realized that the human-shaped ghost leader could actually be as
strong as himself. Besides, the sudden outburst of its dark power kind of overpowered his own
strength.
More than that, Ricky had also found out that the human-shaped ghost leader was using the same
fighting skills as that of the tiger-shaped ghost leader.

Ricky diverted all his energy into his infernal power. In an instant, the chaotic fire runes and the
devouring runes burst out wildly. They were his best weapons to deal with the dark power.
It worked.
The human-shaped ghost was severely wounded. It howled in great pain as the waves of theke
water ran higher. It carried more intense dark power as well as the strong smell of blood.
It then punched several times as the dark water became even more violent. The water gathered and
turned into an enormous whale. It howled and not far from its body, the Dark Enlightenment and the
Killing Enlightenment were transformed quickly into a bloody and dark sword that rapidly flew towards
Ricky.
"Whoever this ghost leader was in its past life must have been a really excellent warrior before he
died," Ricky said in a serious tone as he was impressed by what the ghost leader could do.
Without any hesitation and without wasting any time in thinking, Ricky brought out his Iron Destroyer.
He concentrated the fire power and threw his devouring runes towards the direction of the iing
dark sword.
The collision produced earsplitting sounds and huge explosions.
The heat waves spread far and seemed to have engulfed everybody and everything around the
collision, including Ricky and the human-shaped ghost leader.
