Chapter 1388 The Village

    Chapter 1388 The Vige

Darren and the others in his party moved closer together to avoid being separated in the dense yellow

    mist.

    "Rain, slow down."

"I''m on the way to save my mother. How could I possibly slow down? Humph!"

Rain continued bounding forward so hard that Darren and the others were almost unable to keep up

    with her.

    "Ah!"

A horrible shriek came from ahead, piercing into everyone''s ears and hearts!

Wind could tell that it was without a doubt his sister''s perpetually angry voice.

    "Rain, what''s wrong?"

Wind quickly flew over to find her standing dead still in front of him. She said nothing and made no

    move.

"You wait here. I''ll go and have a look!" Darren saw what was going on and told the rest not to move

before he flew over as well.

He thennded beside Rain and saw her staring nkly into the mist ahead. But he saw nothing in

    front of them himself.

"What seems to be the matter, Rain?" asked Darren.

"There is a thing, there, a very horrible thing." Rain''s voice was cold and distant, her body shuddering

    as she spoke.

Darren was unable to use his god''s sense there and so could not perceive anything ahead.

"Everyone, be careful. Keep your guard up. There may be Archean creatures here," announced Darren

    in warning.

Wind remained silent the entire time. But then, all of a sudden, he leaped into the air and flew across at

an extreme speed. His hands then turned into a de and sword and fierce de and sword intents

    shot out from them.

''Huh! He''s copied my de and sword intents and used his own methods toe up with his own

power!'' Darren was astonished when he felt the de and sword intents.

Not only had Wind sessfully imitated them in such a short time, but he had also figured out his own

way to use them. And the power of Wind''s de and sword intents was a match for his own!

The only shoring it seemed to have was that Wind was unable to fuse his de and sword intents,

as he was after all, not a real human.

    Boom!

An intensely powerful fighting spirit burst out of the dim yellow mist and the god''s power exploded.

"We need to help my brother!" Rain squealed.

Darren and Rain then rushed over together.

    Swoosh! Swoosh!

They arrived at Wind''s side and found a ck figure shing in the mist. It was impossible to capture it

    without using god''s sense.

    Whoosh!

Darren closed his eyes and focused his mind to attack with sword intent using instinct alone.

"Swordsmanship from the heart..." he murmured to himself.

He had mastered this method of control using his mind when he hadprehended the third move of

the supreme sword skill. He activated the sword intent using the same method now.

The first few shots missed the target.

It was of little consequence though, as thanks to Wind''s and Rain''s resistance, the ck shadow was

being pushed back, retreating while still fighting. Darren was left untouched.

After a few more times of employing this method, Darren suddenly found that the sword intent

controlled by his mind seemed to be getting more powerful and urate than when he used his

spiritual sense. He continued on like this as he felt that he was getting very skilled with this method.

"If I can perfect this method to control the sword intent, my sword intent probably will be able to

    improve by another level!"

    This realization overjoyed Darren.

He focused his mind and put his whole heart into controlling the sword intent. He was giving it all he

had, surely nothing could stop him now.

One strike, two strikes... The more he shot out of the sword intent, the more proficient he was

    bing.

"Eh? How dare youunch a sneak attack on me?"

Darren sensed the dangering at him clear as day even without using his god''s sense.

    Whoosh!

A majestic sword intent shot down underneath him. He would not be taken by surprise.

    "Garrrrr!"

The ck shadow let out a roar of anguish as it took the hit. Darren had struck the creature down and

    injured it.

Wind and Rain quickly flew down, releasing a continuous barrage of attacks, one after the other.

    "Woo..."

A cry of pain could be heard from within the shroud of the mist.

Wind and Rain soon emerged with a ck creature in their arms.

"So it turned out to be a dog?" Darren asked in surprise.

"What is dog?" Rain asked in confusion. She did not understand.

"It''s a creature that humans raise," Darren exined. He then realized that something was not quite

right with this. How could there be a dog here?

Generally speaking, only people in the ordinarynd would keep dogs. He had never seen any master

raise a dog, even in the mortal world, let alone in the Archean relic.

Stranger still was that it wore a leather belt around its neck. This had Darren very sure that this dog

    was owned by someone here.

"I don''t care what it is. I''m going to kill it," Rain said viciously. She was about to smash it to nothingness

    when Darren stopped her.

"Wait a minute!" Darren intervened. "Let''s keep it for the time being. It may prove to be of use

    someday."

"What use could this thing possibly have? It''s dark and its barks are unpleasant to the ears." Rain

clearly had no liking for this dog.

"Darren is right. We''ll keep it for the time being," said Wind.

    "Okay, let''s go."

Darren and the others continued pressing onward after this small incident had been put behind them.

In the blink of an eye, a month had passed.

Darren and the others were still stuck in the yellow mist; it seemed to have no end and the previous

path they had taken had disappeared.

    "Oh my God! We''re lost!"

Someone could take it no more and finally said what they were all thinking.

Everyone stopped and looked around in confusion.

"Wind! Do you know the way or not?" Rain growled angrily.

"I... I seem to have forgotten it," Wind said scratching his head.

"Damn it! Why didn''t you tell us earlier?" Weber jumped out and said, his words riddled with frustration.

Wind simply shrugged his shoulders, admitting his helplessness.

"What should we do now? We can''t stay trapped in here forever. My master and the others are still in

danger." Another in the travelling party was beginning to get anxious. Perhaps they all were but would

    not voice it.

"Agreed. We have to find a solution to this."

After a moment of consideration, Darren walked up to Rain and looked at the ck dog with its head

drooped. "Little dog, you must know the way to the vige. Can you take us there?"

The ck dog rolled its eyes at Darren and turned away from him.

Darren was unimpressed by this attitude. He knew that the dog probably understood humans'' feelings.

There was still hope for them after all!

"Is it pain or death you''re afraid of?"

This caused the ck dog''s ears to prick up as it looked at Darren vigntly.

"I guess that means you are indeed afraid of something." Darren smiled and released a tiny wisp of

sword intent containing itchy toxin, cutting into the dog''s paws.

    "Woo..."

The dog was perplexed. ''Why are my paws so itchy? Is there a huge flea biting me?'' thought the dog.

It scratched vigorously and uncontrobly until it finally broke its ws.

"If you do not show me the way, I will use itchy toxin on your sensitive parts..."

Only then did the ck dog realize that this was the one who had caused the insatiable itch.

"Still do not want to agree?"

Darren released another wisp of sword intent and made it hover menacingly beside the dog''s testicles.

    "Aww, aww, aww!"

The ck dog shivered with fear and nodded repeatedly, agreeing to do as was asked of it.

"That''s it. Lead the way now!" Darren ordered the dog.

The ck dog immediately darted off. Rain had tied a withered vine to its cor. If not for this, the dog

probably would have run off without them.

It was only an hourter and already the yellow mist began thinning and the scenery in the distance

    was now faintly visible.

    "We''re already out?"

Now everyone was grateful that they had kept the dog. If not for that, they would still have been

    trapped.

In fact, Darren had chosen to keep the dog because he had a sneaky suspicion that it had most likely

been raised by the people in this vige.

They flew a while more and soon many old thatched huts and copsed stone houses appeared in

    front of them.

    "Here it is."

Wind''s heart skipped a beat when he saw what was in front of him.

He recalled how desperate he had been when his mother was taken away from here, way back what

    seemed like a lifetime ago.

His mother had told him not to look for her, or they would never see her again. This was why he had

hidden the truth from Rain, the truth that their mother had been kidnapped from this very ce.

"Mother, where are you?" Wind asked aloud, choking through sobs.

    "Woof! Woof!"

The ck dog suddenly broke free of the withered vine and sprinted forward rapidly.

"You''re dead meat; a group of idiots!"
