Chapter 1320 Weber, The Fat Guy

Chapter 1320 Weber, The Fat Guy

Beforeing here, Darren didn''t expect the participants to be so evenly spread.

This arrangement was perfect for minimizing any chances of interference between the participants.

That way, they could avoid getting distracted and focus entirely on exterminating the beasts to gain

    points.

The duration of the hunting game was stated in the manual; it wouldst for about three months. Once

this interval was concluded, they would all be teleported out altogether.

"Stay quick on your toes. Don''t fall behind!"

In unison, Darren, Lindsay, and Finley dropped from the tree, searching for potential prey.

Fortunately, they had already scoped out the area under the light of day and knew all the popted

    spots where the beasts gathered.

Soon, they arrived at the ce they marked.

Just as they had observed, hundreds of fierce wolves were found to be living there. Brandishing their

swords, Darren and Lindsay charged towards them with the intent to kill.

In just a few moments, the once-bustling spot filled with wolves was now besmirched in blood, corpses

    everywhere.

The points on their killing tokens bumped to 636 in one fell swoop.

However, when Darren checked the rankings, he was left stunned.

"The first ce is at 79, 600 points already?"

What was more surprising was that the tenth ce was sittingfortably in its spot, having secured

60, 000 points. Thispetition was speeding along at a frightening pace!

With Darren''s current speed, even if he chopped down beasts without a moment''s rest, he still couldn''t

"What should we do? We can''tpete with that..." Lindsay expressed her concerns.

"Our hunting targets are all low-level beasts. At best, they can only earn us one point. In that case, the

ones currently sitting at the top have probably killed the higher level beasts. Those must be worth

thousands of points because of their difficulty level," Darren surmised.

"Yeah, that makes sense. Otherwise, it''s not possible to kill that many beasts in such a short time."

Lindsay''s face lightened up again, feeling relieved.

"We should go for a bigger target this time. Let''s go kill that Dragon ze Bear!"

Earlier in the daytime, they had observed one of the beasts whose skiny aze. It was a hybrid, with

a bear head and the body of a dragon. Clueless of its origins, they named it Dragon ze Bear,

    judging by its appearance.

In terms of strength, it boasted ranks close to the Celestial God Realm. It was not to be

    underestimated.

Feeling pressured by thepetition, they rushed in the direction theyst saw it without thinking

    twice.

However, when they got there, they were greeted by a mess. The damaged state ofnd vouched for

the urrence of a battle, and the aura of the Dragon ze Bear was no longer felt.

As they scanned the area for answers, they witnessed a bonfire not far away, wisps of fire dancing to

the rhythm of the wind. From their position, they could barely see a person sitting by it.

"Seriously? It was killed already?" Shocked at the thought, Darren couldn''t help but exim out loud. It

was hard to believe that a ferocious beast such as the Dragon ze Bear was bested by someone so

quickly when even Darren hesitated in confronting it inbat.

There was only one person in sight around this area. If the Dragon ze Bear was defeated, then it

must have been this person who had done it.

"You''re so talented! I can''t believe you killed the beast so easily!" Darren waved his hand as he

    eximed, walking towards him.

    "Hey, it''s you!"

the man shouted excitedly, watching Darren approach.

Sharing his surprise, Darren was taken aback to know he was the same cowardly fat man he met

    earlier in the day.

At this moment, the fat guy''s mouth was stuffed with oil, hands upied with holding beast meat.

"Sit down! Let''s eat together." Smiling to them, the fat guy, Weber Fan, gestured them to sit, sharing his

    hunt.

"Thank you for the invite. But um..." Darren sat casually and asked, "What kind of meat is this? It smells

    amazing."

"Honestly, I''m not sure myself. I killed a really ugly bear that wandered in this area. Thankfully, its flesh

smells greatpared to its disappointing appearance." Once Weber finished speaking, he swallowed

the meat down in a single gulp.

"Did you kill that monster bear alone?" Lindsay asked, eyes wide open in shock.

"That''s right. You''re quick to catch on, aren''t you? It took only two palm strikes to finish it off," the fat

guy boasted, raising two fingers to exaggerate.

Awestruck, Lindsay and Finley were rendered speechless. ''Incredible. He disposed of something so

formidable as the Dragon ze Bear, and that too with only two palm strikes.''

"That sounds pretty heroic and all. But I can''t help but think how that beast, whose strength almost

reaches the Celestial God Realm, was defeated with only two palm strikes. It all sounds so farfetched

to me," Darren confessed honestly, chuckling lightly.

"I can understand your confusion. But I''m used to people doubting my strength ever since I was a child.

    Have a look at this."

Still engrossed in munching on his meat, Weber threw his killing token to let Darren catch it.

Darren took a nce at his token and found that the token had one million and nine hundred thousand

    points on it.

For a moment, Darren remained stiff, eyes glued to the points unted on the token. The fat guy sat

dethroned, and so far, the person had only obtained two hundred and ten thousand points. It wasn''t

even half as close to the fat guy''s; such a huge gap was terrifying.

Gathering that many points in such a short time was proof enough to testify that the fat guy really did

    kill the bear.

"Damn, nicely done!" Overwhelmed, Darren patted the man on his shoulder and said, "I can''t believe I

pinned you as the weakling! You just appeared to be so lewd; it was misleading. What a surprise! You

actually turned out to be the strongest contender of the bunch! Haha."

Caught off guard by Darren''s honest words, Weber stared him dead in the eye to see if he meant it.

"You got it all wrong. I''m far from being lewd. You''re not one to sugarcoat the truth, are you?

Regardless, your bluntness impresses me. Usually, when a persones across someone stronger,

they tend to fawn over them. But you''re different." Weber held his bloated stomach andughed.

Hearing his remark, Darren rolled his eyes annoyingly.

"Your name is Weber Fan, right?" Darren asked.

    "Yeah. Didn''t I tell you this earlier? It''s a beautiful name, isn''t it? It''s a name I gave myself. Can''t lie. I

admire my creativity," Weber acknowledged himself, brimming with pride.

"Come on, man. Don''t be so full of yourself. There''s nothing special about that name. It''s pretty

ordinary if you ask me," Finleymented brusquely.

"Young man, how dare you deny my capabilities? It''s a good thing you''re handsome, else I would have

disfigured that pretty face in a second," Weber joked casually.

"How dare you bully my man? I''ll beat on your bloated stomach and make you fatter!" Lindsay reacted,

    hands akimbo.

    "Ha-ha."

    "Ha-ha."

All of them broke out in a fit ofughter at their silliness. Weber was good-natured, with a tendency to

tolerate jokes without being bothered by them.

Soon, they familiarized themselves with each other and feasted on the meat, immersed in casual

    conversations by the bonfire.

"By the way, since you''re so strong and all, why''d you seem reluctant in the daytime before the hunt

"Who wouldn''t be? It''s a matter of life and death, after all." Remembering something, Weber shook his

head and heaved an exasperated sigh.

    "What''s wrong?"

"It''s all because of that old dog. He assigned me a task to obtain three beast cardiac cores and that too

of the Celestial God Realm. How can I not be scared?" replied Weber, gritting on his teeth between his

words, eyes lowered to avoid their gazes.

"You don''t have toplete the task, you know? Just escape," Lindsay suggested, attempting to raise

    his spirits.

"You think it''s that easy, huh gorgeous? Don''t underestimate that crafty old bastard. He imprinted a

mark on my body. As long as there''s a beast at the Celestial God Realm within a thousand kilometers

radius of my location, it wille attacking me. And it won''t stop till either one of us is dead.

That''s not all. Even if I avoid these beasts, the mark on my body will spread its aura to cover the whole

area by thest day. With that, every ferocious beast in this hunting ground will attack me, thirsty for my

blood. I''ll be torn to shreds!" Weber said, agitated at the thought of spilling blood.

"Then you probably deserve it. No wonder you refer to your master as the old dog. This all sounds a

little too extreme for my taste." Finley smiled, looking up at the sky, hands behind his back, supporting

his body as he leaned back.

"There''s nothing I can do about it, he raised me. I''m bound to him, whether I like it or not," Weber

    replied, shrugging helplessly.

"Your master must be someone of high rank, right? If I were to guess, then he must be a master of the

Superior God Realm," Darren said, lost in thought.

"It''s useless to be powerful. He doesn''t use it to protect me. Instead, he''s always thinking of ways to be

rid of me. He''s nothing more than an old nasty dog." After a moment of silence, Weber curled his lips

and said, "He said he was a supreme god of the new generation. Bah, he doesn''t look like one at all!"
