Chapter 633 Entering The Dragon Chasing Sect

Chapter 633 Entering The Dragon Chasing Sect

When Darren went out and was about to leave, he told the subordinates that his father suddenly had a

stroke. He asked them to carry the Governor out.

After making sure that the Governor was taken away, Darren left and went all the way south to find the

    Dragon Chasing Sect.

After flying for about four or five days, Darren found that the scenery around him had changed

    dramatically.

Streams of flowing water stretched in all directions. Mountains that stood tall and bold across thend

were like paintings. Pces in the distance were born on clouds, which were magnificent and surreal.

Caught dazzled by thendscape, Darren thought that the beauty of the ce was out of this world.

Darren flew over andnded on a pce hidden amongst the range of mountains.

"Huh! The restriction was so strong. It was not easy for me to fly here."

Before he flew near the pce, Darren felt that a mysteriously tremendous force was suppressing him.

The effect prohibited him from flying further and getting closer to the pce.

Thus, Darren was left with no choice andnded on the ground. He then climbed up the stonedder

that he saw on an opening along the walls of the pce.

"My name is Lewis. I''ve received the invitation letter of the Dragon Chasing Sect," Darren said.

He took out the invitation and gave it to the two disciples guarding the entrance.

    "Come with me,"

one of the disciples said coldly and walked inside, leading the way for Darren.

With confident strides, Darren followed the man all the way. After they walked for about fifteen minutes

following the twists and turns from one wall to another, they came to a small hall.

"Elder, this is a neer. When do you n to test him?" asked the disciple.

As Darren surveyed the entire hall with his eyes, he saw an older man sitting at the top of an elevated

pedestal. With a slight nce, he took a look at Darren and asked someone to hand the invitation to

    him.

"He doesn''t have to be tested. I just need to check his identity. You can leave now," said the old man

while motioning to the disciple to leave at once.

"What? But, it''s against the rule, elder. New members of the Dragon Chasing Sect need to ept eight

levels of tests," the disciple who apanied Darren said with a hesitant expression.

"Humph! I know what I''m doing. You may leave now," ordered the elder.

"Yes, elder!" the disciple responded. He gave the elder a low bow in reverence and left momentarily.

"Come here." The elder waved at Darren the moment the disciple left.

Following the elder''s request, Darren walked over and stood there.

"I''ll be honest with you. You are not qualified to be a member of our Dragon Chasing Sect. But we need

more disciples, so we break a rule to ept you. As long as you work hard to improve your strength

and do things conscientiously, you will get more benefits. Do you understand?" implored the elder.

"I got it, elder. Loud and clear," replied Darren shortly.

With Darren''s confirmation, the old man came down from his chair andid one of his hands on

Darren''s shoulders. His hand felt heavy on Darren''s shoulder.

"Release your fist intent now," the old manmanded Darren with a firm andpelling voice.

In fact, Darren was a little worried. The elder in front of him was mighty, and the fist intent he had

grasped was too limited to cheat him.

With his face pale, after Darren released his fist intent, it soon swept out of his body. All of a sudden,

his robe was bulging, resulting from the umted intents that stuck in there.

After a while, the old man''s eyes fell coldly on Darren as if he had done something wrong.

    "It''s over?"

"Elder, can I ask what''s over?" asked Darren with a confused expression.

"Humph! Is this all that you got? You are so weak! How did you get the invitation? Tell me now!" The old

man''s voice was fierce. He could sense that Darren''s fist intent was very clumsy, and he didn''t have the

power of the top level of the seven-star Grand Realm at all.

"A brother gave me the invitation. I don''t dare lie to you. In all truths, I''m scared of you, and your

momentum made it difficult for me to exert my power." Struggling with his internal force, Darren

sweated on his forehead. He was looking very nervous and rattled at the same time.

"Those bastards have received a lot of money from you, haven''t they?" The old man guessed while

    narrowing his eyes.

"No, absolutely not. In fact, I have brought some local specialties from my city as an offering for you. I

hope you would like them and ept them, at least."

After saying that, Darren released the things he gathered in the Governor''s Office and presented them

at once to the elder.? N?velDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

"Get out!" bellowed the elder in pure hatred and rage.

To Darren''s surprise, and for some reason unknown to him, the old man''s face darkened. Then he

continued, "Do you think that I''m a greedy person? Besides, do you want to pass my test because you

have given me these weak things? Get out of here right now, or I will kill you!"

Hearing such harsh words from the elder, Darren sneered on his mind. It turned out that the old

asshole hated these weak things. Bringing with him such inadequate offers appeared like an insult to

    the elder rather than gifts.

"Please don''t get angry, elder. I have another thing. It''s a family heirloom. I''m giving it to you to show

    my sincerest apologies and respect."

Seeking to please the elder, Darren took out a mysterious ck wooden box from his Space Ring and

handed it over. Even Darren couldn''t detect what was in this box with his spiritual sense.

"Give it to me!" At the sight of the mysterious box, the old man''s expression softened. Darren could see

in his eyes that he wanted the box so much, despite not knowing what was inside.

As his eyes glimmered with anticipation, the old man hastily took the box and immediately unleashed

his spiritual sense to probe. After a while, he frowned, and there was a sh of imperceptible joy in his

    eyes.

"Hum, it is still a piece of shit. However, considering that it was not easy for you to cultivate and you

were invited here, I will allow you to stay," the old man said.

"As for this, you''d better take it back, lest others would gossip behind my back about my intentions," he

    continued.

Darren didn''t take the box, but instead shook his head and said, "The box belongs to you, and you just

gave me to appreciate it. I am not an observant man, and I am sorry about that. Please take it."

"Ha ha! You are so smart! I have to admit that I really admire you!" The old man beamed with pleasure

while stashing away the box that Darren offered him.

"Thank you, elder. Please take care of me in the future," Darren said, calmly. But he was wondering

what the treasure in the box was. If only he was stronger and had a chance, he could kill the elder and

    get it back!

"That''s for sure. If you have anything valuable in the future and let me appreciate it first, I will take care

of you and make sure that no harm will fall upon you!" uttered the elder while patting Darren on the

    shoulder.

"There''s a good thing for you to do right now. You''ve just gotten into the Dragon Chasing Sect, and it''s

a good chance for you to make contributions," the old man said further.

"What kind of work is that elder?" Darren asked in a baffled tone.

"Recently, most of the capable disciples in the Dragon Chasing Sect have gone to the forbidden zone

to secure treasures. Now, I''m going to fight my chances for you. Are you willing to go there and do the

    same?"

"Elder, I heard the forbidden zone is very dangerous. With my strength, I''m afraid..." Darren said,

    unable to finish his words.

"How could that be possible? The Chief Elder is leading the team, and most of the masters in the

Dragon Chasing Sect are there. What kind of danger would happen to you when you are with them?

This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Many new disciples kneel in front of me and beg for my help.

    Are you still hesitating?"

After hearing the elder''s reasons, Darren didn''t confirm nor decline. He was hesitant that if he said yes,

the elder might doubt him. Thus, he preferred to hold on to his silence.

"All right, it''s settled then. Just take my disciple''s token. You have to gather in the square after forty-five

minutes, and someone will send you there. But don''t forget me if you get the treasure. You know what

    to do."

Seeing that Darren did not answer him, the old man assumed that Darren got his point. Thus, he gave

him a token and drove Darren out.

"How is the mobilization of disciples, Elliot?"

The moment Darren walked out, a middle-aged man came in. His presence was so overwhelming that

at the instant he felt his aura, the elder man turned to face him.

At the sight of the middle-aged man, the old man gave a smile and said, "Elder Yves, it''s enough for

    300 people now."

"That''s good," replied the middle-aged man shortly. Thinking about the matter at hand, Yves paused for

a moment and then continued, "About half of the first batch of disciples have been dead and injured,

and they need new disciples to replenish their strength. But I''m warning you, don''t fool me. Otherwise, I

    will punish you."

"Yes, yes. Don''t worry. I have worked as an elder for many years. I know that. They are all elites, and

all of them will help you gain more opportunities," the old man named Elliot retorted back.

"Okay. I''ll trust you with that." Yves nodded. Not a tinge of slightest doubt could be sensed on his face

about his conditions with the elder man.

"Err, Elder Yves, may I ask why more than half of the first batch disciples have been killed or injured?

Where is the Chief Elder? Is he dead?" At the thought of Yves'' statement earlier, Elliot asked, frowning.

"Shut up! How dare you curse the Chief Elder? He is so strong and powerful! He could not die!"

"No, no, no! I just want to know if something happened to the Chief Elder. I''m just concerned about

him." Sweat trickled down Elliot''s forehead as he tried to make up with his insensitive statement.

"Humph!" A bit annoyed, Yves flicked his sleeve and said, "You shouldn''t ask this question. Don''t ask

    again."

With these words, Yves turned around and left with a worried look. Elliot, in turn, was left like a puzzle

with a missing piece. He was confused about why Yves went berserk with his question. It might be true

that something wrong might have happened to the Chief Elder, and Elliot couldn''t be more specific.

Forty-five minutester, Darren arrived at the square as Elliot told him—all prepared and geared up for

    the task.

As Darren lingered his sight around, studying every warrior present, he was overwhelmed to be among

of the hundreds of people that had gathered there. What made him fold in a bit was none of them

seemed to be weaker than Darren in their aura and cultivation base!
