Chapter 509 The Hereditary Treasures
The instant the ck mutant tried to escape, Darren flung out his hand and activated his Hurricane
Teleportation Skill.
"Did you really think you could pull that off under my watch?"
Darren sneered coldly as he covered the distance in a blink andnded in front of the ck mutant,
barring his path.
"You bastard!" the ck mutant snarled. Enraged and shocked at Darren''s speed and the fact the way
out was blocked, the ck mutantunched his attack, his razor-sharp ws swiping at Darren.
"Humph!" Darren snorted coldly.
He split into eight avatars, surrounding the ck mutant.
The eight avatars countered the mutant, bombarding him with unmatched de and sword intents and
powerful dark gold internal force.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The body of the ck mutant burst open in several areas, gushing blue-ck blood.
He threw back his head and let out a pain-filled screech.
His body swelled until his veins became prominent. They appeared as if they would burst through his
skin. Or that the skin itself would rip apart.
Darren smirked. The ck mutant''sbat power matched that of a two-star grand warrior at his top
level. He regretted not being able to kill the mutant in a second or less.
At that very moment, the other two ck mutants dashed forward. Killing intent spilled from them as
they charged toward Darren. ws spread, they closed the distance quickly.
Whoosh!
Darren''s figure disappeared. He''d reactivated the Hurricane Teleportation Skill, causing his eight
avatars to re-integrate.
His figure showed up again. In that instant, olive-ck force exploded from him.
Sizzle!
The attack melted one of the onrushing mutants. His body turned to thick ck fluid, spilling into the air
and across the ground.
Darren grinned.
''It turns out that the olive-ck force fused with the aura of dragon blood and demonic internal force
can kill a ck mutant in an instant after all!''
Previously, his demonic internal force would have been only sufficient to intimidate a mutant. Now,
fused with the aura of dragon blood, the ck mutants'' natural enemy, an entire new world of
possibilities had opened. The power was something for them to fear. The threat of instant death was
something to send them fleeing.
Swish!
Darren waved his sword horizontally. A wave of the olive-ck force rippled around the whole area.
Before the remaining two ck mutants could react, even as their eyes bulged with fear, they melted
into puddles of viscous ck fluid.
"Awesome!" Darren eximed.
Grinning, he could barely contain his excitement. Within a second, he could kill a ck mutant whose

power was equal to that of a top level two-star grand warrior. Such an aplishment was amazing.
His mind worked as he considered the possibilities of his newfound power. ''If I use this olive-ck
force, in conjunction with my Hurricane Teleportation Skill and the Air-integrated True Rule, maybe I
could kill a ck mutant at the top level of a three-star grand warrior in a second!'' The thought sent a
thrill through Darren. He frowned. "But could I do the same to a mutant with the power of a four-star
grand warrior?" Darren muttered to himself.
He estimated that even if he couldn''t kill a four-star mutant, his attacks would still pose a great threat.
After killing the four ck mutants, Darren chopped off the blood red iron chains that held the people of
the Shaoyan n and rescued them all.
After that, he took out a variety of spiritual herbs, elixirs, and pills from his Space Ring and distributed
them to the rescued n members.
"I am sorry, but who are you?"
inquired a few of the Shaoyan n''s three-star warriors, suspicion in their eyes when they should have
been grateful.
"I''m Darren, Timothy Shaoyan''s friend. There''s no need to worry. You can trust me. Here." Darren
gestured to the supplies. "Take these medicines to quickly heal your injuries." He nodded
encouragingly and offered them a sincere smile.
"Ah, Darren. Timothy mentioned you before. You were the one who helped him escape from the
Purgatorial Tripod," a middle-aged man said. He was Adam, Timothy''s uncle.
After Timothy returned to his n that day when he got out of the Purgatorial Tripod, he exined
everything that had happened there to most of the n. They were all very grateful to Darren, but at
that time, Timothy''s whole n was already in chaos. Thus, they couldn''t send anyone to help Darren
attack the Red Inferno Sect.
Darren nodded slightly. "We can talk about thatter. Do you know where Timothy and Abrd are
now? I''m going to save them."
"They''re hiding in the defense weapon on the top floor. We''ll go with you," Adam replied.
"No, thanks. I''ll rescue them alone. Sir, I think you all should heal your injuries first and try to recover as
soon as possible. After you all recover, we''ll have a better chance of getting out of here," Darren said.
"But there is a mutant beast who is as strong as a three-star grand warrior on the top floor. I''m afraid
that you..." Timothy''s uncle hesitated. But Darren knew what the man had meant to say. He was
worried that Darren would lose to the mutant.
"Chief, when killing the mutants earlier, Darren disyed very powerful attacking skills," said one of the
Shaoyan n''s warriors. "Yes." Another warrior nodded. "And he was faster than us in killing a top
level two-star mutant."
A third warrior said, "I think Darren''s cultivation base is above us, so please let him rescue Timothy and
Abrd."
More warriors offered their opinions. "Yes, Darren''s skills are really amazing. We''re seriously injured.
Even if we go with him, we might prove to be more hindrance than help."
On and on the voices went, with more offering their thoughts and suggestions.
Adam looked from one warrior to another. He nodded, seemingly agreeing with many of them.
"Darren, then thank you for your help," Adam said sincerely with his hands cupped. He bowed to
Darren.
"Darren, thank you for your help," chanted the remaining strong warriors of the Shaoyan n as one.
They cupped their hands and bowed.
Darren bowed to them. "Thank you, sirs. But you do not have to be this courteous. Timothy and I are
close friends. I will try my best to rescue him." Darren lifted his head and offered an appreciative smile.
After that, Darren was ready to fly to the stone castle''s top floor.
"Darren, please wait for a moment. I have some things to tell you before you go," Adam said.
"All right. What is it?" Darren asked and turned back.
"I will make it short. This stone castle is our Shaoyan n''s Heaven and Earth Castle; it has four
floors, of which the second and third floors were originally used to test the geniuses of our n. You
should check each floor carefully before you go to the top floor to rescue Timothy."
Taken aback, Darren frowned and asked, "Do I also have to pass the test of each floor before I go to
the top floor?"
"No, you don''t have to. With your current fighting power, those tests are useless. They may have been
destroyed by the mutants. But the second and third floors have our n''s treasures handed down from
our ancestors. If you went there and found that those treasures were not destroyed by the mutants, you
could take them and use them to fight the mutants.
There is an Energy Gathering Pool in the second floor. The crystal at the bottom will be useful. In the
third floor, there are three ancient Divine Weapons, a de, a spear and a sword. Either one or all of
them should increase your power. If the mutants have taken them or destroyed them, then at least
you''re prepared for that possibility also." Adam bowed when he was done.
"I see. Thank you." Darren nodded and flew straight up the castle.
After he left, one of the grand warriors from the Shaoyan n asked, "Chief, these are the hereditary
treasures of our n. Isn''t it against our ancestral teachings to allow an outsider to have them?"
Adam scowled. "Our n is on the verge of being destroyed. Does it really matter if we obey our
ancestral teachings? The treasures can be obtained by those who have strong enough abilities. As for
the ancient spiritual crystal in the Energy Gathering Pool, no one in our n has absorbed the spiritual
energy inside it for countless years. We can only rely on the array to absorb spiritual energy. So the
crystal has not been so useful to us.
Darren is outstanding. Despite being in his twenties, hisbat power is beyond any of us. He might
be strong enough to use the crystal. The same thing with the three Divine Weapons. No one in our n
can wield them. If they were not taken away by the mutants, maybe he could be their owner. Didn''t you
find out that he cultivates both the sword and de skills at the same time?" Adam gestured to an elder
grand warrior. The elder grand warrior nodded.
Adam continued, "Warriors who cultivate both the sword and de skills are legendary figures.
He might have broken the repression of Conflicting Cultivation. It''s the very reason he wasn''t killed long
ago."
The elder warrior bowed. "Chief Adam is right. Darren has definitely disyed power unlike anyone I
ever witnessed. He''s also proven to be a good friend. He came to help our young master, and even
rescued us without hesitation. His such qualities are hard to find nowadays. If these hereditary
treasures are useful to him, then all the better. They can be considered as our rewards to him. If they
are not useful to him, we will owe him a lot." Sincerity lit the elder''s eyes.
The first grand warrior bowed to both of them in turn. "Both Chief Adam and the elder have made very
good points. I was foolish to raise such a doubt." Adam smiled at him. He then turned to the others.
"All right! Let''s be quick about healing our wounds. Those spiritual herbs, elixirs, and pills Darren left
are also very valuable. We should appreciate his generosity, and be ready in case he needs our help.
If it were some other person, they would not have given such valuable items to strangers." The people
of the Shaoyan n bowed to the Chief. Many offered their thanks and respect for Darren.
Darren soon reached the stone castle''s second floor.
The ce was a mess. All that remained of therge pool at the center was broken stone and rubble.
Disappointed, Darren shook his head.
On a whim, he released his spiritual sense to detect the entire floor. Soon, he felt an extremely
majestic, profound aura flowing in the broken pool. He grinned at the discovery.
