Chapter 896 Deserved To Be The Winner
When Alyssa finished speaking, she walked straight ahead and brushed past Rocky. Seeing that he
remained frozen in ce, she urged, "Let''s go. What are you waiting for? If you don''te, I''ll just go
without you." Then, she turned around and continued walking.
''Why do women always say one thing and mean another?'' Rocky wondered, shaking his head with a
bitter smile as he watched Alyssa''s back. It would save him a lot of trouble if he could heal his wounds
with Alyssa, and he had been hoping that she would have the same line of thought.
He knew that Alyssa already knew a lot of his secrets, so she might "torture" him to find out more, but
he still followed her because he needed to confirm a few things.
At dawn the next day...
In the Qi n''s mansion, many people had stayed up all night because Alyssa had suddenly taken
Rocky away and hadn''t returned. Needless to say, a lot of rumors would spring up about the two of
them if they didn''te back soon.
Besides, the final result of thepetition had not been announced by Alyssa yet, so the winner of the
Beast Master Contest was still uncertain, and no one knew who would win.
In the wing house where members of the Cao n lived, Woods and the members of the Cao n
had also stayed up the whole night, waiting for Alyssa and Rocky to return. Their disappearance had
put all of them on edge.
"Your Royal Highness, why haven''t Mr. Rookie and Her Royal Highnesse back yet? Could they be
in trouble?" Luci asked worriedly. As the chief of the Cao n, she was the most concerned about
their disappearance. After all, to the Cao n, Rocky was like a priceless treasure. Even if the Cao
n did end up losing the Beast Master Contest, it would not be a bad thing for them, since they had
gotten this chance to find out about Rocky''s hidden talents and abilities.
Woods shook his head, frowning. He also had a feeling that something was wrong. He knew that no
matter how much his sister and Rocky had to talk about, they couldn''t possibly talk all night long. What
was more, his sister was so decisive that she would have either just killed Rocky or let hime back
after a while of talking to him. She would never have stayed out all night of her own ord. Hence, he
felt that something was wrong.
"How about sending people to look for them?" Lucas started to fidget with his hands. He was so
distressed that the white wisps of hair on his chin had almost fallen off.
"I''ll go and look for them," Queenie volunteered, jumping out of her seat impatiently. It was not that she
actually cared about Rocky. But if something happened to him, she would not have the chance to y
with the flying spiritual beast anymore. Or at least, that was what she told herself. The truth was, the
fact that Rocky hadn''t returned for a whole night had made her inexplicably agitated.
"I will go with you," Juey said immediately.
"Don''t worry. My sister knows what she is doing," Woods said immediately. Although he was secretly
worried about them as well, he didn''t want the members of the Cao n to get unnecessarily worked
up.
Just then, a disciple of the Qi n suddenly walked into the wing house.
"Your Royal Highness, our Chief invites you, the Chief of the Cao n, and Master Lucas to the front
hall," he said to Woods, cupping his hands respectfully.
"What''s the matter?" Woods asked seriously.
"He didn''t tell me. He just asked me to invite you there." Woods narrowed his eyes suspiciously. It
seemed that the Qi n didn''t want them to know what was going on. He turned to Luci and Lucas
to gauge their thoughts.
After hesitating for a while, he nodded and said, "Chief Luci and Master Lucas, pleasee with
me." Then, he stood up and followed the disciple of the Qi n with Luci and Lucas trailing behind
him.
When the three of them arrived at the front hall of the Qi mansion, they saw that the members of the Qi
n, including Alexander and Samson, the chiefs and beast masters of other big ns that had taken
part in the Beast Master Contest, a few royal members, and the five judges of the Beast Master
Contest were all in the hall.
"It turns out that there are so many people here," Woods said calmly. He seemed to have guessed
something.
Upon seeing Woods, all the people in the hall rose to their feet and saluted him.
Woods waving his hand and walked ahead, led to his seat by Alexander. Meanwhile, Luci and Lucas,
like the others, took a side seat.
"Your Royal Highness, where is the princess?" Samson asked. Aftering back and learning about
the whole matter, he had discussed with Alexander to find a countermeasurest night. That was why,
early in the morning, Alexander had invited Woods, Chiefs of all the ns that had participated in the
Beast Master Contest, and the judges here.
"I don''t know," Woods said honestly, shaking his head.
"Has she given you any opinion on the final result of the beast curingpetition?" Samson continued
to ask.
"No," Woods said after a moment''s hesitation.
Upon hearing this, Samson shot Alexander a meaningful nce.
"Your Royal Highness, didn''t the princess say that she would leave it up to you?" Alexander
immediately asked.
"Well, she seemed to say so," Woods replied, acting as if he was unsure. He knew that the Qi n was
eager to know the result since it was of great importance to them. If they won, they would be able to
surpass the Cao n and be thergest n in the Timber Deity Empire.
"So you will announce the final result?" Alexander continued.
"I''ve already told you that it will be announced when my sister returns," Woods said impatiently. "I know.

But people all over the capital are talking about what happened yesterday. I think it''s better if the result
was announced as soon as possible in order to avoid unnecessary suspicion and trouble. Don''t you
think so?" Samson asked.
"Master Samson is right. Since Her Royal Highness has not shown up yet, it is likely that she will not
us to announce the result in her ce," one of the five judges said, rising to his feet.
"Then what''s your decision?" Woods asked, raising an eyebrow.
The judge who had spoken looked at hispanions before turning back to Woods. "Although the
beast master of the Cao n managed to bring the spirit-manipted beast back to life andpleted
thepetition, we can''t overlook the fact that he caused the beast to die first, whether identally or
deliberately in order to attract attention. Therefore, to ensure the fairness of thepetition, we''ve
decided after a night of discussion that the final winner should be the Qi n. After all, the beast
master of the Qi n, Tate, didn''t make any mistakes in thest round of thepetition, and his
performance was outstanding. So, he deserves to be the winner."
