    went straight to Juey''s room, but half way there, he suddenly paused to turn to Mary and said, "Go


    back and tell your father, don''t waste time on me. I will neither listen to reason nor bow to force. I only

    "What an arrogant guy! Just wait. I''ll dete your big head before long." When Mary heard the cocky

    When Rocky arrived at Juey''s room, he hesitated for a moment before he reached out to knock on the

    "Who is it?" Juey''s listless voice came from within the room.

    Only silence replied to him and the door remained shut in front of his face.


    His brows knitted together as he stared at the door and wondered why Juey refused to open the door.


    All of a sudden, the door flew open to reveal a gaunt Juey who stared at Rocky like he was a dream


    that would disappear. She didn''t expect that the man she was longing for was here. She heard that the


    Xiao n left no stone untouched within the Barren City but failed to find him, so it was likely that he


    already left. But now, Rocky was back and she could only look on in surprise.


    "Roo... Rookie? It really is you!" Juey eximed and her excitement was apparent even on her gaunt


    face.


    "What''s wrong? Didn''t you want to see me?" Rocky teased even though her joy in seeing him again


    was clear as day on her face.


    Suddenly, Juey''s eyes watered as if she had been wronged.


    "What''s wrong? Did anyone bully you?" Whatever yfulness Rocky felt was quickly washed away,


    and a frown appeared on his face.


    "I thought I''d never see you again..." Juey bit her pink lips as if trying her best to suppress her


    emotions. Even so, she couldn''t help but let a few tears escape. She was a straightforward person. If

    through her tears. "I forgot to let you in." She immediately moved aside and gestured for Rocky to get


    in her room.


    "Is it okay for you?" Rocky asked politely. After all, it wasn''t polite to enter a girl''s bedroom without her


    permission.


    "There''s nothing inconvenient." Juey smiled and pulled him in, closing the door behind them. She didn''t


    show a hint of fear that the man before her would do something to her.


    As soon as Rocky finally got inside her room, his eyes quickly looked around. It was clean and tidy,


    nothing different from other girls'' rooms. The air inside smelt quite pleasant.


    "Except for my father and brother, this is the first time that a man hase into my room." Although


    Juey was rather simple, she still felt a little strange to be alone with a man. A bashful blush bloomed on


    her cheeks.


    "I''m honored," Rocky joked and gave her a smile.
