Chapter 786 A Mystery
The scene in front of Rocky shed in a thunder of lights and suddenly changed into a deste
"How could this be?!" Rocky froze in total shock then flew down. Just a moment before, he was staring
at a huge ice tomb. All of a sudden, it was gone.
Rocky pulled the treasure map from his pockets and looked at it again. It indicated that he was in the
correct ce.
"Could the treasure map be wrong?" Rocky told himself as he stroked his own chin. "Emperors and
ministers from the ancient times used to create simted tombs to bait people and avoid the
destruction of the real one. Does that mean that the Myriad Spirit Tomb is actually in a different ce?"
Rocky wondered how he could differentiate what was real or not. He closed his eyes and thought long
and hard before jumping down from the sand slope.
When he opened his eyes, the scene changed back into the originalndscape.
"This must be an illusion." Rocky leapt andnded on the huge ice tomb. On it, he saw countless
figures of all shapes and sizes. Some of them were extremely tall, perhaps more than ten meters high,
while others were only the size of a palm. Some had ck faces and tusks, while others had wings like
birds. None of them looked human.
The creatures'' sight only reminded Rocky of one thing: the spiritual race.
Rocky ran across the ice road that went through the entire ice tomb. He was shaking in fear. The ice
tomb buried tens of thousands of members from different ns of the spiritual race. Why they were
buried altogether, he did not know.
As he explored further, he gained some answers. It looked like the ns had undergone a very fierce
battle. Many of them only had fragments of broken bones while some were beheaded. All of them
looked terrifying.
"It looks like they went through an intense battle before dying," Rocky guessed. He could only imagine
how intense it must have been. The tens of thousands of members fighting at the same time would
have caused quite a scene.
He remembered the battlefield of beasts he had just passed by. Perhaps that could exin the broken
corpses he was seeing. He figured that the masters of the beasts fought with each other as well, thus
resulting in apletely deste ce.
Perhaps a terrible deadly war had urred on thend he was in.
However, Rocky could only specte. The truth might be moreplicated. For all Rocky knew, the
bodies buried might be ns of the spiritual race that existed on the Wild Spirit Land, both extinct and
non-extinct ones. He was unable to guess what could have caused the war to begin with.
Of course, these ns of the spiritual race might represent two or even more forces. If that was the
case, then conflict was not impossible.
But a question remained: why did they all have to be buried in a single ce? Why built such a huge
ice tomb? This was an even bigger question if they were in fact from different forces.
With his mind racing, he continued walking along the ice road and had finally arrived at the center of
the ice tomb. He looked up and saw that there was an engraving of the three powerful lively runes.
They did not look like they were written by humans; most likely they belonged to some ns.

Nevertheless, Rocky was able to read the inscription as, "Myriad Spirit Tomb."
"So this is the legendary Myriad Spirit Tomb after all. The ce where tens of thousands of ns of the
spiritual race, which is now rare on the Wild Spirit Land, are buried. What a great opportunity for me to
see many different ns of the spiritual race at once!" eximed Rocky.
Then, Rocky went to the back of the icy tombstone where he saw several lines of runes. Unfortunately,
he was unable to decipher it. He decided to memorize the lines of runes. On his way back, he could
seek help from experts in tranting them. Perhaps this could help him understand the true
background of the Myriad Spirit Tomb.
"The treasure map showed this Myriad Spirit Tomb without any other instructions. I hope that means
the treasure is nearby." Rocky continued exploring the icy tombstone but had failed to see any signs of
treasure.
''Hmmm, '' Rocky thought, ''maybe this isn''t a treasure map. Maybe this is just a guide to find the Myriad
Spirit Tomb.'' Rocky inspected the treasure map in his hand. If what he thought was true, then he came
in vain and only exposed himself to risks. He woulde home empty-handed.
He almost gave up but, suddenly, he felt a strong auraing from all directions. The temperature
dropped and the atmosphere became grave. The entire ce filled with strong resentment.
Rocky perked up. He could sense that someone was approaching him. Shivers went down his spine.
He could feel someone''s sticky res on his skin. He started to tremble.
His face turned pale. He wanted to leave the Myriad Spirit Tomb immediately. He knew that any
treasure he''d find was not worth his life. But before he could take any action, a dozen of ck beast
shadows with different shapes appeared in the air. Rocky''s eyes widened. He could feel the beasts''
aura. It was at the Supernal Stage.
The gravity of the situation dawned on Rocky. He was surrounded by a dozen strong warriors at the
Supernal Stage.
"Wait a minute. Are those Soul-shadow Beasts recorded by the Beast Encyclopedia? From what I
know, those are souls without a physical body. They looked like shadows and possessed a power
greater than that of a spirit-manipted beast. It was said that the Soul-shadow Beast was refined by
the soul of an ancient spiritual beast by the spiritual race, but without a lot of sess. These are
supposedly rare creatures. Only the spiritual race is able to control such a Soul-shadow Beast." Rocky
recalled all the information about the beasts in front of him. He looked like he was inplete shock.
He didn''t think he''d encounter such a rare beast, especially more than ten of them at the same time.
However, it was also recorded in the Beast Encyclopedia that Soul-shadow Beasts were divided into
two kinds. One was the Shadow Beast and the other was the Soul Beast. Thetter was more powerful
than the former.
Rocky supposed that the dozen of ck beasts in front of him were Shadow Beasts instead. If they
were Soul Beasts, Rocky couldn''t even begin to imagine what would happen to him.
