Chapter 687 Peerless Master
"Commander in Chief Rocky, our three Frontline Commanders are gone. One of them died in battle not
long ago and one surrendered to the Holy Sea Empire. The finalmander is missing," the grim-
faced deputymander answered, cupping his hands in front of his chest.
"Didn''t you have reinforcements? Why was Mont City lost so quickly?" Rocky asked with a serious look
on his face.
"Because..." the deputymander trailed off.
"Tell me." Rocky fumed.
"The five thousand soldiers that were supposed to guard the east gate retreated unexpectedly and the
Holy Sea Empire attacked the east gate. Themander who led these soldiers was the one I told you
went missing earlier," the deputymander responded.
"What''s his name?" Rocky asked.
"nk," the deputymander uttered his name.
"It''s him." Rocky''s eyes darkened.

A few momentster, a greatmotion urred in the west gate. People cried out, "The Holy Sea
Empire army ising. Run! Save yourselves!"
A stream of people began to run, which caused the crowd to grow bigger with each second.
"What''s your name?" Rocky asked the deputymander.
"Fleming," he replied.
"I''m appointing you as the Frontline Commander, Fleming. Gather all the soldiers that retreated from
the city and make sure they protect the civilians and lead them to safety. If any soldiers try to escape,
kill them. Do you understand?" Rocky asked in amanding tone.
"Yes, sir." Fleming bowed with renewed confidence at the fact that he''d just been promoted to the
position of Frontline Commander.
"Deputy Commander in Chief Isis and I will try to block the oing forces first. Once you retreat,
instruct the army to hide while waiting for Isis and me to return," Rocky instructed.
"Isis, let''s go." Rocky gave Isis a nod as they vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving those who were
left behind baffled.
Within a few moments, Rocky and Isis returned to the west gate where the Holy Sea Empire army
proceeded to kill soldiers and innocent people who were desperately trying to leave the city. The smell
of deceased flesh wafted through the air as freshly drawn blood seeped under the city gate.
Immediately, Uriah flew towards Rocky as Rubygon was being summoned.
"I''ll take them to battle to try and stop the enemy. When the time is right, destroy the gate," Rocky
The Holy Sea Empire army saw this and began to rush out of the city gate to chase the trio.
"Uriah." Rocky gestured to the beast.
Uriah let out a huge roar before spreading its wings and soaring into the air with all three of its tails
tangled together.
A ck fireball crashed towards the ground and exploded, leaving a huge pit on the ground. Its Evil
me blew towards every direction and burned dozens of Holy Sea Empire soldiers to their deaths.
Blood-curdling screams echoed continuously throughout thend.
As Rocky and Rubygon fought back, the ming de of the Frozen Wind Dagger shot out a series of
ck Moon des that ughtered anyone that tried to resist. Rubygon frightened any Holy Sea
Empire soldiers that tried to attack them.
Before long, Rocky and the two beasts managed to sessfully hold off the Holy Sea Empire army
and prevent them from chasing after the Crimson Dragon Army and the civilians who were fleeing the
city.
Suddenly, a Holy Sea Empiremander and a few Earthly Stage spirit maniptors appeared out of
nowhere.
"Who are you?" The Holy Sea Empiremander pointed at and asked Rocky. He realized how strong
this rival was and so he tried to be cautious.
"The worst enemy you''ll ever face," Rocky replied with a frightening sneer.
"Kill him!" With a grim look stered on his face, the Holy Sea Empiremander waved his hands
and ordered several Earthly Stage spirit maniptors to surround Rocky.
Seeing this, Rocky immediately put the Frozen Wind Dagger behind him and morphed into a shadow.
He prepared to fight them.
A huge surge of the Heavenly Stage aura cascaded from within Rocky and shocked everyone.
"He''s...a Heavenly Stage spirit maniptor!" This came as a surprise to the Holy Sea Empire
powerful individuals.
Before themander could utter a single word, one of the spirit maniptors let out a piercing
scream as one of his arms was cut off. The dismembered limb rolled on the ground and the blood
sshed everywhere. Rocky now exuded a frightening aura as he began to fatally ughter spirit
maniptors left and right. He managed to injure multiple spirit maniptors without even using
spiritual martial arts.
Another Earthly Stage spirit maniptor was badly injured, his body charred and burnt to a crisp.
This terrified all of the Holy Sea Empire soldiers.
Once Rocky managed to grab the Holy Sea Empire army''s attention, a delicate figure gracefully flew
down from the city wall like a butterfly. With a wave of her hands, a spiritual power of the strength at the
eighth grade of Heavenly Stage surged from her. This power then morphed into a shadow that started
mming on the stone wall above the city gate.
Bang!
The entire city wall trembled and boulders began to fall and block the gate.
The Holy Sea Empiremander turned his head toward the loud crash and saw the blocked gate. His
face now appeared ashen and distraught. The delicate figure from earlier now appeared, flowing
gracefully down from the gate and dancing in the air.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A strong spiritual power cascaded across the sky before it proceeded to crash into and kill several
enemy soldiers on the ground below.
The Holy Sea Empiremander turned pale. He never expected two Heavenly Stage masters would
suddenly show up at the battle.
Upon seeing that the gate had been blocked by Isis, Rocky whistled to Uriah. Realizing what it needed
to do, Uriah flew to catch Isis who was about to fall and then it rushed towards Rocky.
"I''m not here to y your games. Tell your Commander in Chief that I''ll take back Mont City soon."
Rocky waved his hands and shook away the other three spirit maniptors of the Earthly Stage. Then
he mounted Rubygon and rushed out of the encirclement quickly. He, along with Isis mounted on Uriah,
flew towards the direction of the Crimson Dragon Army that was escorting the civilians.
"Get him!" the Holy Sea Empiremander ordered. With his army of three to four thousand people,
he wouldn''t let the Crimson Dragon Army get away.
The Holy Sea Empire army surged forward like a torrent towards Rocky as he and Isis left with their
two beasts.
