Chapter 674 Mixed Emotions
After going through a long and difficult journey, Laney, the emissary of the Timber Deity Empire, arrived
at the military camp of the Roaring me Empire. She then settled on the left defense line of the

"Commander in Chief, thank you so much! I am very ttered!" Laney''s beautiful eyes sparkled as she
smiled. Her smiling face and kind words delighted Blood Lord Leo to no end, and he could not stop
looking at her.
"I have arranged a banquet for you. Miss Laney, this way, please." Blood Lord Leo led the way and
gestured for her to follow.
Laney nodded softly and followed him with a smile on her face. The attention warmed her heart, and
she was excited to see what they had prepared for her.
Blood Lord Leo and Laney walked into a bright tent. It was surrounded by fresh flowers and long tables
filled with excellent wines and generous servings of food.
"Forgive us, if this is the most that we could offer to wee the beautiful Miss Laney. You know that
we are located at the outermost edge, and in this area enjoyable things are hard toe by. Please
take a seat and enjoy the food that our people had prepared for you." Blood Lord Leo bowed his head
as he finished his emotional wee speech for Laney. He then sat down and gestured her to sit.
"You are so kind, Commander in Chief. I am just a humble envoy. You don''t have to treat me like this,"
Laney said with a polite smile as she sat down.
"Miss Laney, you are the most cherished person of Princess Alyssa. You deserve every honor and
respect," Blood Lord Leo replied.
Laney smiled to herself, ttered with themander''s words. She then picked up the wine pot, filled
the ss in front of Blood Lord Leo, and then poured wine for herself. She raised the ss in front of
her and said, "On behalf of our princess, I salute and thank you Commander in Chief." Without another
word, Laney finished the wine on her ss.
"Ha-ha! I did not expect Miss Laney to be so bold and outspoken." Blood Lord Leo also finished up his
wine.
"This one is my personal toast for Commander in Chief." Laney poured another ss and gulped down
the wine from her ss.
"You are a much stronger drinker than me, Miss Laney!" Blood Lord Leo pped his hands and
shouted.
"This third toast is to wish you a wonderful fortune and that you win the war with the Crimson Dragon
Army, Commander in Chief," Laney dered as she raised her third ss of wine.
"Thank you, Miss Laney. To be honest, I am ready tounch a powerful attack against the Crimson
Dragon Army tomorrow. They are so arrogant and they already dered that they will defeat us in this
war. They made us lose twenty thousand forces with their petty tricks, and that''s all. It''s ridiculous for
them to even think they would win!" Blood Lord Leo said arrogantly, but his voice faltered. His heart
filled with fear and apprehension.
"That is why the princess sent me this time. She wanted me to help you defeat the Crimson Dragon
Army. Would you please be interested to hear my advice?" Laney said. Her voice was reassuring, and
it filled her eyes with seductive charm and enchantment.
Blood Lord Leo smiled mischievously as he gazed at the voluptuous figure of Laney secretly. He then
asked, "And what is your advice, mydy Laney?"
"When I went on an undercover mission in Evian City, I dealt several times with this man named Rocky.
He is still very young, but don''t be deceived by his appearance. He is very powerful and ambitious. You
must already be aware of it, Commander in Chief," Laney said with a slight frown.
"Well, I was careless. I will never make the same mistake again!" The recent battle with Rocky caused
great shame for Blood Lord Leo.

you, Commander in Chief," Laney said as she tried to tter Blood Lord Leo.
He chuckled when he heard Laney''s words.

then, take no action, and just wait for the right time." Laney''s tone of voice changed as she tried to
convince Blood Lord Leo.
"That sounds reasonable, Miss Laney. You''re a genius on military strategy. Quite unexpected!" Blood
Lord Leo thought about it and soon seemed to agree with Laney.
"It is just my humble opinion, Commander in Chief. Of course, the ultimate strategy is still up to you,"
Laney said bashfully, careful not to push him.
"Okay, I will take your advice and grant the Crimson Dragon Army a few more days to prepare. Let''s
see what they are up to this time," Blood Lord Leo replied with augh after a moment of hesitation.
"Commander in Chief, you do have a gift of high intelligence! I really admire you. I would like to
propose another toast to you!" Laney raised her ss.
It was at this moment that Blood Lord Leo held her hand in midair and said with a malicious smile, "It''s
a long night. It will only bore you if the two of us will just drink."
"You are pretty straightforward, Commander in Chief. But, I shall say that I am the follower of Princess
Alyssa. I will need a little respect," Laney said calmly, even if deep down she was a little frightened by
his behavior.
"Forgive me. You are so brilliant and beautiful, I could not help myself." Despite his apologies, Blood
Lord Leo continued with his shameless behavior. He gently stroked Laney''s delicate hand when he saw
that Laney was hesitant to turn him down.
"Commander in Chief, if you really adore me, why don''t you show some respect and sincerity? I also do
admire you, Commander in Chief." Laney let out a meaningful smile which made him stop.
"Of course! Please tell me what kind of sincerity do you want, mydy Laney?" Blood Lord Leo asked,
excited to return the favor.
"Well, if you will help the Timber Deity Empire defeat the Crimson Dragon Army this time, Princess
Alyssa will definitely satisfy all your needs." Laney then stood up, curtsied and excused herself, "I''m a
bit tired. I shall go back and rest." Then she left the tent hurriedly.

hands. If that happens, you woman will be mine." Blood Lord Leo convinced himself as he watched

position there. Rocky became curious and felt annoyed when he learned about the news. But what
made him more annoyed was the news sent by Allen.
"The emissary of the Timber Deity Empire is someone called Laney?" Rocky was surprised when he
heard the name "Laney" and frowned for a while.
"That name sounds so familiar. I''m sure this was not the first time that I heard that name!" Isis could not
remember where and when she heard this name, but it did sound very familiar.
"She used to be the belle of the Geisha House in Evian City, and she was very famous then. Several
