Chapter 613 A Mental Connection


    Sabina saw Rocky leave and got up to follow him. However, she was stopped in her tracks by Yasmin.


    "That isn''t a ce for women to go. In my opinion..." Before Yasmin could finish, Sabina made a


    sudden move. At the blink of an eye, she was gone, leaving others stunned.


    Rocky went through the front yard of the Geisha House and arrived at the back yard where he saw two


    maidservants standing by the widely open door of Laney''s room.


    "I''m looking for Miss Laney," Rocky exined to the maidservants.


    "Is that Mr. Rocky? Come on in. You two can leave now." Just then, a soft voice came from the room.


    The two maidservants bowed and left at once.


    Rocky looked back. Though he didn''t see Sabina, he knew she would follow, so he walked into Laney''s


    room. When he entered the door, he smelled a light fragrance, like the smell of mint, very refreshing.


    Through the gauze, he saw Laney in a light pink coat and a purple strapless dress leaning against the


    round table, seeming to have been waiting for him for a long time.


    "Miss Laney, did you know that I woulde?" Rocky asked with arms folded across his chest.


    "Don''t you think that I''m good at predicting things ahead?" Laney shed a sweet smile at Rocky.

    "If that''s the case, then I dare not sit down. If you tell me I could only live until tomorrow, I would not be


    in the mood to drink tonight," Rocky bantered.


    "Well, I am not that capable. I just heard that you went back to the headquarters and was about to send


    someone to invite you, but I didn''t expect you to show up here yourself..." Laney had a yful smile on


    her face.


    "I see. What a coincidence. I guess we have a sort of mental connection," Rocky joked.


    "It''s been a while, Rocky! But you are so glib-tongued now. Come sit with me!" Laney gestured to the


    empty spot beside her.


    Rocky obliged as Laney poured some wine for him.


    "You better drink with me as punishment for thest time you left without saying goodbye," Laney said,


    pointing at the wine in front of Rocky.


    "Is that punishable?" asked Rocky with his eyebrows raised.


    "Why? Is that something you normally do to women?" Laney asked seriously.


    Rocky thought about it and realized that he did often leave without saying goodbye. Marin, Isis, and


    Sabina had all gotten used to it.


    When he did not respond, Laney shook her head. "Ah, so you must definitely be punished. I am doing


    this for the women you have left behind." Laney''s voice sounded stern.


    "You make it sound worse than it actually is," Rocky defended himself. "I am not a heartbreaker." Rocky


    felt like Laney''s judgments were a bit extreme.


    "Are you not?" Laney grumbled.


    "Of course not!" Rocky was ready to defend himself but was distracted by the rustling he heard outside


    the door. Although the person outside was well concealed, the distance was too close so that the


    person was discovered. ''It was Sabina, '' Rocky guessed.


    "I need your help. That woman outside is looking for me. Please help me make her leave," Rocky said


    in a panicked whisper.


    "Have you done anything that hurt her?" Laney asked curiously.


    "No, I didn''t." Rocky shook his head.


    "Then why is she following you? And why are you hiding from her?" Laney kept asking.


    "It''s hard to exin. Just please help me get rid of her, will you?" Rocky already felt like Laney knew


    too much.


    "Well, you have helped me a lot! So, let me be a bad guy this time," Laney said and then suddenly


    raised her sweet voice, crying, "Mr. Rocky, that''s out of line! Why are you even always in a hurry?"


    "Every time I see you, I feel happy. You are unlike some woman, who is cold from head to toe and not


    feminine at all. I don''t know who dares to marry her..." Rocky looked at Laney and responded.


    Sabina was just outside the door of the room trying to find Rocky, and she heard everything. Sabina


    was certain it was Rocky and sure that she was the woman he was referring to. She clenched her fist


    ready to knock on the door but held back.


    "Is there such a woman? That''s too bad, Mr. Rocky. No one can satisfy you as much as I do," Laney


    said.


    "You are so good, and not like some woman who regards herself a holy maiden. Whoever dares to


    touch her will be chopped off. Who adores such a fierce woman?"


    "You''d better stay away from her. She might easily be angered into chopping off your legs. And who


    would want that?" Laney said.


    "I wouldn''t," said Rocky.


    "Mr. Rocky! Come on, please take good care of me."


    Sabina stood outside the room hearing everything. Her face was pale from anger and she could feel


    herself teetering off the edge of her self-control. She even wanted to kill them.


    "Rocky, I hate you! I don''t care what happens to you now!" Sabina hit the pir with her hand and, in an


    instant, it frozepletely. This meant that she was in total rage.


    Before it could go any further, Sabina disappeared.


    Rocky heard Sabina''s voice and froze for a moment. In a few seconds, there was silence and her aura


    disappeared.


    "Did she leave?" Laney asked.


    "Yes. Thank you for your help. That should get her off my back." Rocky nodded.


    Laney reached for the ss of wine on the table. "Drink this," she said. Laney put the ss in front of


    Rocky.


    Rocky picked up the ss and looked at Laney.


    "Drink. I''ll just go in and take something out." Laney waited for Rocky to put the ss near his lips. As


    soon as he did, she got up and went into her bedroom.


    At this time, Rocky, who was just about to drink up the ss of wine in his hand, looked up and nced


    at the back of Laney. He was shocked a little, but then drank up the wine in his ss.


    After a few gulps, Rocky bent over the table.
