    the distance.


    Rocky could tell that it was the Dark Lord behind the identity of Sheehan. But what was he doing in a

    Before exposing himself as the Dark Lord, Sheehan took part in the treasure hunt. He also fought his


    way through a crowd of greedy spirit maniptors and worked towards obtaining the Sea Blue Magic

    Sheehan merely stood on the sidelines and observed everyone trying to kill each other.


    If he was really the Dark Lord, one of the rare spiritual race, then he would easily be stronger than the


    spirit maniptors. He could have easily killed all of them as soon as they were in the Myriad Beasts


    Ground and no one would know he was at fault.


    But instead, the Dark Lord chose to hide among human spirit maniptors and reveal himself only at

    "Return the Sea Blue Magic Jade to me," the Dark Lordmanded Rocky. He said it with such


    authority. It was as if the rare treasure was his.


    If it was indeed his, then perhaps he staged the gathering at the hall to trigger a battle among masters


    at the Heavenly Stage. Perhaps the Dark Lord merely wanted spirit maniptors to kill each other.


    Upon realizing this, Rocky stared at the Sea Blue Magic Jade at his hands. He realized then that the


    treasure could have been fake. If the Dark Lord''s intention was to call everyone''s attention, then


    perhaps the Sea Blue Magic Jade Rocky held was merely a bait. And they all fell for it.


    "Why do you want this so called treasure?" Rocky asked the Dark Lord. "We know that you only used


    this to lure us here. What on earth do you want?" The Dark Lord stood unbothered at Rocky''s


    spections.


    Then, collective gasps filled the crowd. All the spirit maniptors who heard it were shocked and they


    all averted their cold gaze towards the Dark Lord.


    "If you hadn''t interrupted my n," the Dark Lord finally confessed, "you would have all be my


    spiritual power gathering pot. Damn it!" The Dark Lord was seething with rage.


    "The spiritual power gathering pot?" Rocky''s brows furrowed. He did not understood what the Dark


    Lord was speaking of, but he had a feeling that it was a bad news.


    Now that the truth was out, the masters at the Heavenly Stage pierced the Dark Lord with resentful


    stares. Unfortunately, that was all that they could do. They knew that even if they worked together to


    defeat the Dark Lord, they would not win. Being a member of the spiritual race gave him unfathomable


    power.


    "You tricked us!" Erica yelled among the crowd. She wanted tounch an attack but she knew she had


    better not. It took every fiber in her body not to do so.


    The Dark Lord let out a patronizingugh. "You human spirit maniptors are weak. You are easily


    controlled by your greed. I''ve always had the Sea Blue Magic Jade and it have been here in this hall for


    the past ten years absorbing spiritual power from heaven and earth. Its spiritual power had finally


    reached the saturated stage and that''s why it emitted a strange light. This time, you humans went


    running towards the light like mindless bugs. You risked going through the Myriad Beasts Ground for


    the slim chance of acquiring a treasure. I just used your greed against you. You should all get punished


    for trying to steal my treasure!" the Dark Lord dered.


    Tension rose in the air. The human spirit maniptors realized just how trapped they were.


    "So, quit wasting my time and return my jade. Then you could all go to my spiritual power gathering pot


    and help me absorb all the spiritual power of the Sea Blue Magic Jade," the Dark Lord added with


    amusement in his voice. "Much more, your blood essence is also quite nutritious. It would have been


    better if you all were stronger, unfortunately there''s only one beautiful girl here who is at the Supernal


    Stage." The Dark Lord snickered with a devilishugh.


    The anger in the crowd turned to fear. The spirit maniptors realized that the Dark Lord in front of

    "I won''t let him win, and I definitely won''t let him take the Sea Blue Magic Jade back." Rocky muttered


    to himself as he stared at the jade that was now at his possession. He tried to feign confidence but he


    also knew that the Dark Lord was much stronger than him. He looked around. He needed someone to


    distract the Dark Lord and give him an opening to leave with the jade.


    The Dark Lord stomped and caused the earth to shake. They were unable to confront him.


    "I need to distract the Dark Lord." Rocky repeated to himself. Since he was faced with one from the


    spiritual race, he needed to take advantage of every opportunity presented at him. He was determined


    to leave with the Sea Blue Magic Jade.
