Chapter 466 Formation Of Spiritual Crystal
During that time, all the royal members of both the Timber Deity Empire and the Holy Dragon Empire
were proud of themselves for being able to be primordial spirit maniptors. And because of this,
Woods got little to no attention and care from the royal family. Not to mention his father, the Emperor of
the Timber Deity Empire, who even treated him as a good-for-nothing scum of the earth.
However, just like his sister Alyssa, Woods was considered to be a gifted and brilliant strategist when it
came to military tactics. And within the realm of the Timber Deity Empire, it was only Alyssa who could
outdo Woods in tactics.
Unfortunately, Woods was very unlucky as he was not able to be a primordial spirit maniptor.
Hence, he was treated badly, and even got isted by his own family. Without Alyssa''s help, Woods
would have been totally ignored. In fact, the Wood n offered Alyssa a course in the training
program. Right after she finished it, she came back to the empire and got very well recognized by the
Emperor with regards to her excellence in military governance. And because of her return, Woods''
misfortune had be a little bit lessened.
Nevertheless, Alyssa was a princess who could not, in any asion, be the sessor of the
throne. In their kingdom, it was only the princes who was next in line for the throne held by the aged
incumbent Emperor. Expected to resign from position soon, the Emperor still had not made his decision
on whom he would choose as his sessor.
With this in light, all of his sons were engaged in the constion of their own factions and conflict by
wielding their expertise in a particr field. With pressure on their shoulders, all of them wanted to get
their hands on the crown.
Though he was a prince, Woods seemed to be obviously at a disadvantage in the dispute because he
was deliberately excluded by the other princes.
However, as the younger biological brother of Alyssa, Woods still got a lot of support from his sister.
Alyssa''s rise and fame helped Woods retain his influence to some extent. Nevertheless, Woods was
still an underdog as he was continually overshadowed by those princes who had made a head start in
presenting their power.
Witnessing with her own eyes, Alyssa advised the Emperor into appointing Woods as her assistant in
the war against the Holy Dragon Empire. With this, she aimed to create chances for her brother to learn
more about the field and distinguish his service in the war and reinforce his campaign team.

In view of Alyssa''s high status, it was possible for Woods to soon be conferred with royal titles and
assigned to own a key position. If this happened, then he might gain it to his advantage in pursuit of the
crown and position.
Thoughtfully enough, Woods knew that his sister was offering a great opportunity to train him in the war
and make friends with talents who, if became his close advisors, would certainly bring firm support to
his ambition of bing the next Emperor.
Meanwhile, thinking to himself, he thought that Rocky was special, as he was out of the ordinary. He
even thought that it would be a good idea to befriend him. Though Woods felt some remorse for being
defeated by Rocky in a war, it was still the kind of defeat that made Woods see Rocky''s undeniable
strength in fighting.
"If I would encounter that guy again by any chance, I must make a way on how to persuade him to be a
part of my team," Woods told to himself with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
"Alyssa, what''s your next n? It is just to maintain our control over the Dead Silence Mount while we
seek for a gradual movement toward victory?" Woods asked his sister with a beaming smile that almost
nearly made his eyes half-closed.
"The Crimson Dragon Army attempted to stall us with their attacks on the Dead Silence Mount.
Currently, we are short on food and materials. If we storm the main force of the Crimson Dragon Army
at the battlefront, our reserve will surely run out within two days. If this happens, then it is nearly
impossible for us to defeat its main force within such a short period of time. For the long term
consideration, we have to continue by keeping our control over the Dead Silence Mount." Although
dissatisfied by her quitting a possible raid, Alyssa had to adapt to such n only because it was the
best n in their current situation.
"Wait, I might just have a good idea. It is possible to make the Crimson Dragon Army lose the greater
for the less. And I believe that if this would work, then I would surely see that guy again for another
heap of advice," Woods vaguely said while having a cunning smile.
At the same time, Rocky was pulled in by the manuscript about the formation of spiritual crystal while
he was trying to cure himself from the wounds he sustained in a stone cave.
During hisst reading, he had been taught to know the materials, including the Beast Spiritual Pill,
necessary to gather before the formation. Reading some more, he had a full understanding of the
procedure and formation, along with a lot of tested methods that had no luck in achieving sess.
Soon, he further mastered the principles of the formation.
He also came to notice the simrity between the formation of the spiritual crystal and that of diamond
—both their formations began with something unattractive and ended in treasures after a long time of
Diamond is a form of the element carbon. At the early stage, it would not look like much as it was filled
with a lot of impurities. However, it would eventually get the ultimate shape once subjected to intense
pressure and very high temperature.
On the other hand, the spiritual crystal was formed just like the diamond. It originated from a Beast
Spiritual Pill made of spiritual debris. After being melted with elements in the body of a dead spirit-
manipted beast, the Beast Spiritual Pill would then set out to the absorption of spiritual power and
route to mature into spiritual crystal by its exposure to a vicious environment.
With that being said, the precursor divided the maturation into four steps with reference to the way that
it was formed: concentration, absorption, tempering, and maturation.
Concentration was when a Beast Spiritual Pill was ced in an environment simr to the dead body of
a spirit-manipted beast so as to concentrate all necessary elements for the formation of a spiritual
crystal. Absorption, on the other hand, referred to a step in which the Beast Spiritual Pill absorbed a
through tempering and would finally mature into the spiritual crystal.
It usually took a long time to even make preparation for concentration, let aloneplete the four
steps.
However, Rocky thought that the precursor might make something go wrong, thus the spiritual crystal
could not be formed sessfully.
As expected, after reading all the formation recordings in the manuscript, Rocky found out a lot of
mistakes as well as misconceptions based on the scientific theories released in the modern world.
For example, in the process of concentration, the precursor deliberately cut the dead body of the spirit-
manipted beast into pieces and soaked it in the potion, which aimed to slow down its dposition
and ensured that the Beast Spiritual Pill could fully absorb the elements from the dead body.
Contrary to popr knowledge, this was obviously wrong. Indeed, the dead body soaked in the potion
dposed more slowly, but, most of its elements would be destroyed which would then make the
retaining elements not enough for the concentration of the Beast Spiritual Pill.
Therefore, theck of certain necessary elements resulted in failure.
In addition, from the respects of modern science, arge number of fatal errors had already existed in
the other three steps which was the reason why the precursor had not formed a spiritual crystal even
with his lifelong efforts.
"The precursor shared all his experience in this manuscript, and I do understand his desire for a
sessful maturation of a spiritual crystal. I must try my best to study the manuscript and correct its
mistakes and misconceptions. I sincerely hope I will not let him down." Putting the manuscript in his
arms as if he were embracing it, Rocky heaved a deep sigh.
Ever since Rocky sustained injuries from the five-star Furious Long-nosed Bear at the fourth grade, he
had been recuperating in the stone cave. Healing with his best efforts, he seized this great opportunity
to meditate and find out a way to make a breakthrough.
