Chapter 435 The Surprise Attack
With her cold gaze at Rocky''s back, Sabina murmured to herself, "This guy is surely unique. But why
would Master Marcia want me to protect him? What on earth is he hiding?" After finishing speaking,
she rushed forward to catch up with Rocky.
Soon, they arrived at the garrison camp of the Timber Deity Empire''s army. Without any stop, they
headed towards the ferry where the army''s cargo ships docked.
The garrison camp was heavily guarded. Every once in a while, the patrols could be seen here and
there. Yet, Rocky and Sabina could easily avoid them due to their great stealth. Finally, they got close
to the ferry. Finding a ce to hide, they began to observe their enemies at a closer range.
At that moment, they spotted six ships carrying grain and other supplies near the bank of the ferry.
Also, a squad of spirit maniptors and a group of soldiers were on guard, looking stern and alert.
"So, what do you want to do next?" Sabina turned back and asked Rocky, hoping to get some valuable
insight into his n on how to burn the ships.
"I''ll use ropes to connect these ships," Rocky said pointing to a bundle of thick ropes behind his back.
For convenience''s sake, the rest of the ropes were stashed away in his Magic Spiritual Space.
"If I remember correctly, you said you wanted to burn the ships before. Why don''t you set them on fire
immediately?" Sabina questioned. His strange idea left her confused.
"Obviously, I''ll need to burn all the shipspletely. To do that, we''ll need to cause a huge scene that
will send them into a panic. The six connected ships on fire will surely turn heads!" Rocky eximed in
a low voice with a sinister smile.
"But what about the guards?" Sabina asked as she pointed at the group of spirit maniptors and
soldiers guarding the front of the ferry.
"Your turn to be the bait." Rocky informed Sabina with a smirk.
"So, you had this all nned out just to trick me." Sabina realized as she red at him with her cold
eyes. Finally, she understood. Rocky tricked her into being here not to protect him but to help him hold
back the enemies and give him enough time to destroy the boats.
"Since when did I trick you? And isn''t your main goal to ensure that I stay protected?" Rocky retorted
without any remorse.
His words left Sabina blushing, irritated, and shocked. "When this is over, you''ll be sorry." Sabina
stared at him, her eyes aze with anger. Within an instant, her body turned into illuminated ice before
rushing out and disappearing into thin air.
Once Sabina appeared again, the guards saw her and became alerted immediately.
The squad of spirit maniptors along with a few soldiers rushed to the direction where Sabina
disappeared.
Rocky smirked quietly, knowing that Sabina would still cooperate despite her anger. Quickly, he turned
into a shadow that moved swiftly to the other side of the ferry and dived into the water below under the
cover of night. With a gentle ssh, he disappeared into the depths of the river before the soldiers
could notice him.
After diving into the water, he quickly swam to the bottom of the ship at the far right—to which he began
to nail several iron hooks on the rope before proceeding to do the same to the bottom of the adjacent
ship.
At the end of the process, the bottoms of all six ships were tied together via crisscross ropes like beads
on a ne.
Once he settled everything, Rocky floated to the water''s surface. Instead of sneaking around like a
shadow earlier, he used all of his spiritual light to propel himself from the bottom into the air in the blink
of an eye.
An abrupt, deafening bang resounded through the night air along with the furious sshing of water.
The remaining soldiers guarding the ferry were immediately rmed, looking up with mouths agape.
Instantly, a floating shadow appeared before them like a god that descended from heaven.
Rocky, who just rushed out of the water,nded on one of the ships with great agility. With the deft
wave of his hand, he activated his Evil me.
Within seconds, the soldiers were blinded by a ck-red light that burned like a ghostly fire and made
their hair stand on end.
"Burn Heaven and Earth!" Rocky bellowed loudly. As his hands waved towards the sky, streams of
immense power burst from his body—transforming into balls of Evil me like raindrops that fell onto
the surrounding ships.
The Evil me ignited the ships, turning them into a sea of fire that soon grew huge and
uncontroble.
When the soldiers realized what happened, they became hysterical and yelled, "Enemy attack! Enemy
attack!"
Quickly, the entire garrison camp was rmed including its two leaders—Commander Wei and Woods.
Woods strode out of the camp. When he realized what happened, the same raging fire that destroyed
the ships could now be seen in his equally furious re. "Order the soldiers to put out the fire now!" he
screamed at Commander Wei who just came out of the camp. "The person who did this should still be
in our camp. Secure all the gates and bring him to me alive!"
Without enough time to react, Commander Wei heard Woods barking a series of orders at him, as if he
was the real Commander. His face turned livid. Yet, he didn''t dare to disobey Woods'' orders as he
realized the seriousness of the whole matter. The ships were full of supplies that would be used to
support the Timber Deity Empire''s major forces. If those supplies were burned, the attacking n of
their main forces couldn''t be carried out—and Princess Alyssa, the main force''s top leader, would
waste no time ordering a severe punishment towards him.
Not in the mood to argue, Commander Wei did as Woods had instructed him to. He wasted no time
ordering the soldiers to put out the fire on the ferry. Apart from that, he blocked off all the camp exits
and ordered the spirit maniptors to conduct a thorough search.
After setting the ships on fire, the arsonist left the ferry with great ease. He hid in an inconspicuous
pitch-ck corner where he could witness the whole camp fall into chaos and observe the soldiers
doing their best to control and put out the zing mes.
Because all six ships were connected and were set aze by Rocky''s special Evil me, the mes
would take more effort topletely extinguish.
''The show should begin any moment now, '' Rocky thought to himself as he nced at the west of the
Hippo Land. Having set fire to the heart of the enemies, he knew that now would be the perfect time for
Marin and her troops to attack.
West of the Hippo Land, Marin, and her five thousand troops were waiting for the right moment to
attack. As soon as she noticed the camp of Timber Deity Empire was on fire, she knew Rocky''s n
seeded.
With no hesitation, she sternly ordered the three leaders of her troops, "Divide yourselves into three
squads. The middle squad will set off first to distract the enemies with a fake attack. As for the left and
right squads, you shall hide along the road and wait for my order."
Under the dark of night, five thousand ck shadows separated into three forward-moving streams
rushing from the west of the Hippo Land to the Timber Deity Empire''s defense line.
The middle squad was first detected by the Timber Deity Empire''s defending troops who looked
impatient and not rmed at all.
"Damn it! Why did they return again?"
"Aren''t they tired? Why do they insist on feigning attacks a few times every day?"
"Ignore them! They''ll all be scared out of here soon, just like before."

inform and update the camp.
From behind the middle squad, Marin was pleased to see that the Timber Deity Empire''s soldiers did
not raise the rm. After the remaining two squads joined the middle squad secretly, she ordered
loudly and sternly, "Soldiers, attack now!"
