Chapter 260 Cultivation Method
Rocky had some time, so he decided to go check on Verdanim at the beast farm first. After all, he had
not seen it in a while now. He looked at the wound on Verdanim''s lower abdomen, carefully scrutinising
the skin around it. It seemed to be healing very well and he was certain that the suture woulde off
soon. However, the limb was a different ball game altogether. Until they took the tes off, Rocky
would never know how that injury was doing.
Everything looked okay at the beast farm and so Rocky lumbered down the dusty pathways and made
his way to the old abandoned house. This was his happy ce, and he felt at peace here. On reaching
the threshold, Rocky began to practice and work on his capabilities. He was almost at the sixth grade
of the Earthly Stage now and only a little more spiritual power would be needed, before he could reach
the sixth grade. He couldn''t help but think that had he absorbed more spiritual power while he was in
the belly of the Demonic Devouring Boa, he would have easily reached the sixth grade by now.
As he sat there, with just his thoughts to ponder over and nowhere else to be, Rocky went into a state
of deep thinking. He could not figure out how everything had urred. Demonic Devouring Boa''s belly
was a dangerous ce to be in. But even then, while he was in there, he knew that a part of the boa''s
spiritual power had been transferred to him. It was strange, that not all the power that the boa had
possessed swarmed into him. It was, as if, the rest of the power simply disappeared into thin air.
But what Rocky did not know was that the spiritual power from the boa had not disappeared. It had

instead, been absorbed by the power of the Holy Dragon Bead. Even though Marcia had seeded in
sealing the powers of the Holy Dragon Bead, the firstyer of the seal would be loose as he grew
stronger.
As Rocky had reached the fifth grade of the Earthly Stage back then, the firstyer of the seal was not
as solid as before. The power of the Holy Dragon Bead worked and absorbed the invading spiritual
power.
In a way, the power that was absorbed had benefited Rocky because otherwise, his body would not
have been able to survive the exposure to so much power. Rocky''s body was still refining the powers
and was not equipped to handle so much in one go.
There was no way that Rocky could have refined so much spiritual power, all by himself. Had it not
been for the power of the Holy Dragon Bead, Rocky would have most certainly died in the boa''s belly
itself.
As Rocky''s power grew, the sealing power of the firstyer would have gone kaput and endless power
of the Holy Dragon Bead would be unleashed. This power would have been too much for Rocky to
control and manipte. Only someone who reached the Heavenly Stage would have the ability to
control this magnitude of power. In fact, the power that was unleashed could be stored for a critical
time.
Rocky spent the night in the abandoned house and stepped out of it the next morning. As he did, he
saw a strange, colourful figure, pacing back and forth, in front of the house. Uriah and Rubygon, who
had been keeping a constant vignce on the house, looked at this new figure with suspicion.
"You almost killed me yesterday!" Rocky wasn''t sure if his usations were justified. His voice
quavered with self-doubt.
The colorful figure in front of him was Rainbow Glow Unicorn - the troublemaker responsible for getting
Rocky into all sorts of problems.
And even though the beautiful creature understood what Rocky said, it stood there innocently howling,
as if it didn''t know what he was talking about.
"Did you bring me there yesterday, because you were so distracted by it?" Rocky knew it was futile to
me the Rainbow Glow Unicorn. After all, the spirit-manipted beasts did not have the same
cognitive and thinking functions as humans did. However, Rocky did want an answer to why Rainbow
Glow Unicorn brought him there, of all the ces. He knew there was only one way to do it - he
brought out Dragon me Pearl to confront and talk to Rainbow Glow Unicorn.
On seeing its dear friend Dragon me Pearl, Rainbow Glow Unicorn brayed in fervent excitement.
The Unicorn hade across the envoys of the Roaring me Empire, whom the Timber Deity
Empire had been looking for. It was attracted to the spiritual energy that Dragon me Pearl was
giving off.
Dragon me Pearl was priceless to the Unicorn. It had been tracking the three envoys, and finding
Dragon me Pearl was nothing short of a jackpot. Rainbow Glow Unicorn''s search had ended
abruptly when they were attacked by the Demonic Devouring Boa. The frightful boa had caught the
envoy who had the three treasures with him and killed him in the cave. That was the reason why the
Unicorn knew the Pearl was hiding in the cave.
The whole idea behind bringing Rocky to that ce was to exchange it for the magical saliva. However,
what Rainbow Glow Unicorn did not anticipate was that such a move would thrust Rocky''s life in
danger and might have gotten him killed!
"It was a close shave yesterday, but I escaped and am alive", said Rocky. "I know we made a deal and
I intend to follow through with my share of it. I will give you one drop of magical saliva, now that I have
my treasure." Rocky smiled and put his hands inside his pocket. He took out a tiny bottle and opened it,
pouring a single drop of saliva on his own outstretched palm. There wasn''t much left in the bottle
anyway.
Rainbow Glow Unicorn immediately licked the saliva from Rocky''s hand and brayed happily. It turned
away and left.
"I have very little magical saliva left now," said Rocky, looking at the almost-empty bottle in his hand.
Yesterday, there was at least half a bottle of saliva in there. But seven or eight drops of it had gone and
now all he was left with, was this. Uriah could only produce five drops of magical saliva every day. But
from this supply, Rocky needed two drops for his daily practice. Three drops needed to be set aside for
Dark Heaven Insects. And now, even Rainbow Glow Unicorn had to be spared one drop. At this rate,
they would be out of magical saliva, in no time.
The only way to up their supply of magical saliva was Uriah. Rocky thought to himself, ''Uriah is
currently at the second grade of three stars. If I can get Uriah to reach the third grade of the three stars,
it will start producing more saliva. But if Uriah were to level up to the third grade of a three star beast, I
will have to grade up and reach the eighth grade of the Earthly Stage.'' Rocky''s thoughts engulfed him
otherwise, it was all in vain.
So it all boiled down to this - the only way to upgrade Uriah''s power was to upgrade himself.
And after all, for every spirit-manipted beast, reaching the third grade of three stars was a highly
coveted position. Even amongst the spirit maniptors who had the same power as Rocky''s, being
able to have a spirit-manipted beast at the third grade of three stars was a rarity. In order to bring
the spirit-manipted beast to such a level, the spirit maniptor would have to undergo a lot of
improvement. Not just that, it would require a certain kind of strength, resilience and treasure, to the
quality of the spiritual crystal - which was the rarest amongst the rare.
Now, Rocky''s mission was sorted. He had to collect the spiritual crystal, not just for his own upgrade,
but also for the sake of Uriah. Rocky knew, that using the Dark Heaven Egg would also help in
improving Uriah''s grade. However, it would not be as effective as using the spiritual crystal. The crystal
was specially designed for the spirit-manipted beast.
In the past, Rocky had used the power of the Holy Dragon Bead to refine the spiritual crystal with Uriah
and it had worked the other way around. The results were stupendous. Rocky figured, that when he
would reach the Heavenly Stage, he would probably use another cultivation method. He would be able
to cultivate himself in the most perfect manner.
