Chapter 3045 A Billionaire (Part One)
Fifty million!
As soon as the waiter announced the number, everyone was dumbfounded, including Austin''s parents
and elder brother.
"That... No, that is impossible. You must have made a mistake!
These people are penniless! How could they have fifty million dors in their bank ount?"
Aunty Afra stammered. She was at a loss for words, clutching her chest for this unexpected turn of
events.
"Recheck it!"
The manager of the restaurant urged the waiter to investigate this matter further, in case anything went
amiss.
The waiterplied, and to his surprise, the number that reflected on the screen of the POS terminal
was urate. The waiter rubbed his eyes to check if he indeed saw the whole thing right—and it was!
The number disyed on the screen was longer than a cellphone number.
"I am not mistaken. The bnce of this bank card is indeed fifty million!"
The waiter couldn''t peel his eyes off the screen of the POS terminal. He wanted to doubt the
outrageous amount that appeared, but he checked it several times, and it remained the same number.
These people were wealthy!
"What? Fifty million?"
Everyone in the room, including Austin''s parents and Chad, was stunned to the core.
"No! I don''t believe it!
You must have made a mistake!"
Aunty Afra protested like a madwoman.
Of course, she had every reason to doubt this preposterous im. After all, she personally confirmed
herself that the Lin family were paupers a few moments ago.
These people, who she imed as "paupers", actually owned fifty million dors on their bank ount!
She truly despised them to the core.
"What the hell, Aunty Afra? You told me they were poor, and they would listen to whatever I ordered
them to do! What''s this whole thing about?"
Kate mmed her fists at the table. She felt like she was duped.
"Are you sure this is correct?" the manager once again asked the waiter. He was having a hard time
epting this as well so he looked at the POS screen himself to confirm the amount. He was at a loss
for words. "This is... unbelievable!"
The manager fumbled between words as he held the edge of the table for support. He fixed his gaze
on the amount as if waiting for something to change. To his dismay, the number remained fifty million.
He didn''t know how to act around them now; he was extremely embarrassed about his behavior
towards them.
As a manager in a luxurious restaurant, it was in his nature to seek the favor of the more affluent
customers. He fawned on them and tended on them more oftenpared to his less luxurious patrons.
He scoffed at people who couldn''t afford a single meal at his restaurant! It was inherent to his
materialistic nature.
In this society, only a few people, either stupid or insane, were willing to make trouble with the rich for
no reason.
"Well, if you''re done with that card, can you please check the bnce of the other cards I brought? I
don''t have the habit of memorizing the contents of each ount, so maybe you can help me check
them individually," Austin asked. He quickly withdrew the first card he gave from the still-stunned waiter.
"It''s troublesome to have so many bank cards. At this point, I can''t even distinguish them from each
other, so I''m not really sure how much money I have earned already."
Then, he took out five more cards.
Then he handed them over to the waiter, each issued by a different bank.
All of them were issued by the major banks in the country.
Arge portion of the two hundred and fifty million dors Austin had umted from the Xu n
had been deposited into a famous foreign bank in another country out of concern for safety.
As for the rest of the money, Austin askedwyers from the Xu n to set up ounts under his name
in several major banks within the country. This money was split and deposited into domestic ounts
so that he could conveniently use it across the country.
However, Austin didn''t know how much money had been deposited in each of these domestic bank
ounts, so he wanted to know it as well.
The waiter hesitantly took the cards from Austin''s hands and checked them one by one.
"The bnce of this card is thirty million!"
"This one is sixty million!"
"This one is forty million!"
The waiter couldn''t help but raise his voice in surprise as he scanned them one by one.
By the end of it, his hands were practically trembling. He hadn''t encountered anyone this wealthy
before!
He had worked in the Luxury Restaurant for eight years.
It was part of his job to socialize with rich people daily over his years of service.
But throughout his employment of almost a decade, he had nevere across anyone as loaded as
Austin. Each of his bank ounts roughly had forty to fifty million, and he had a handful of card at his
disposal! It was incredibly rare to meet someone as affluent as he was!
Silence dominated the whole room.
Every time the waiter read the bnce out loud, audible gasps would be heard from the other people
throughout the luxuriously decorated private room. It took their breath away every time the value of
each card was announced.
It was beyond surprising!
It all felt like a dream.
They had a hard time believing that the total amount of the bank cards was approximately two hundred
million dors!
Austin was a billionaire? That was unbelievable!
They found it unimaginable and absurd that all this was true. Something felt amiss for them.
Austin was just an unassuming guy that they looked down on a few moments ago. They all thought that
he had nothing with him. But now, pieces of evidence had shown that he was indeed an affluent
person. This sudden change in perspective towards him was too much to handle!
Even Austin''s parents and elder brother had their mouth agape. Their hearts thumped violently for the
unbelievable fact.

"Tell me. Is this a dream?"
Austin''s mother muttered to her husband with a wry smile on her face.
She was not ted with this discovery. Instead, she felt a little apprehensive about it. She couldn''t
imagine this happening in real life—her life! This felt too good to be true. Something must be off!
Her younger son had been missing for ten years, but all of a sudden, he came back out of nowhere.
That whole thing was a mystery in itself. Doubts and suspicions swirled in her mind about her son''s
disappearance and sudden return. To top it all off, he had way too many bank cards with him, each of
them having an exorbitant amount. Anyone would find these chains of events scary, or suspicious, at
least.
