Chapter 2985 The Master From The Spiritual Race

Chapter 2985 The Master From The Spiritual Race

What the spiritual dragon did next only proved what the master of the spiritual race had said to be true.

The dragon was rather fond of the spiritual tree, and held it in deep regard. It did not dodge the roots

    that wereing at it.

On the contrary, it weed them, and granted them ess to its mind. The spiritual tree rooted itself

on the dragon''s head, and from afar, an observer got the illusion that tree and dragon were one

    creature.

''This is amazing!'' Austin was delighted at this sudden turn of events.

He had sensed earlier as the spiritual dragon gradually lost its will to fight.

It was clearly tamed by the spiritual tree.

''Looks like this tree has many uses that I have yet to know of. No wonder it is considered the holy tree

of their spiritual race; it managed to subdue the dragon in a heartbeat!''

    "Damn you!"

It was the master from the spiritual race, and he was directing his curses at Austin.

"Hey, human boy! This spiritual dragon is a private property of my master, who is a distinguished

    aristocrat.

I advise you to not even think of messing with him.

Surrender that beast to me! That spiritual tree, as well!

You know very well that it is considered holy by my race.

You are nothing but a mere outsider; you have no right to im it for yourself!"

"What did you just say?" Austin chuckled with disbelief.

"You are demanding not only for the spiritual dragon, but for my spiritual tree as well?

Have you perhaps lost your damn mind?"

"You human bastard, do you want to die that badly?!" the master yelled back with fury.

He lunged for Austin at full speed, releasing enormous amounts of spiritual soul energy as he went.

As he drew closer, Austin was assaulted by what felt like several steel tes crushing him from all

    directions.

He was a little daunted by this.

    Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Crimson ropes, each as thick as an average human arm, darted from behind the master''s head and

    lurched towards Austin.

There were dozens of them, and they wereing at him with swift uracy.

The master from the spiritual race was using the Puppet Strings technique.

He was quite adept at it, too, since only those who were incredible at this attack could create this many

thick and powerful strings at any given time.

    Austin realized this, too.

This master was not an easy opponent to defeat.

Compared to him, the people from the spiritual race that Austin somehow enved were significantly

    weaker.

In the next instant, however, the spiritual tree shook free from the beast and flitted towards Austin.

The spiritual dragon then threw its head back and let out a menacing growl.

It moved forward and devoured the massive ropes that wereing at Austin. When it was done, it

even flicked out its tongue to lick the corners of its mouth, as if wanting more.

"Damn it all!" The master was once again cursing all over the ce.

"I cultivated for so many years to reach this level to be able to unleash a powerful Puppet Strings

attack, and this damn spiritual dragon just chomped on my strings!

I hate you!" He spat out like a petnt child.

"I hate you and that stupid spiritual dragon!"

As if it took insult, the dragon let out a tiny roar and advanced towards the bawling master.

"Damn it!" came the curse again, but this time the master was sprinting away in fright.

He knew all too well what would happen if the dragon actually caught him.

As he escaped, he used his spiritual sense to send a message to the governor through the ground.

"Terrible news! A stupid human bastard took the spiritual dragon!"

Behind him Austin was in close pursuit.

"You want to run away?Content rights belong to N?velDrama.Org.

    That''s never going to happen!"

He and Darby opened their Eyes of the Ghostdom Ancestor that emitted beams of darkness.

The moment the beam touched the fleeing master, he began to slow down against his will.

The spiritual dragon didn''t miss a beat, and went in for the kill, its fangs glinting in the faint light.

Terrified to his very core, the master screamed in panic.

    "Stay away from me!"

He was yelling and kicking in ce, desperate to escape yet could not move an inch.

    Austin clicked his tongue.

"He''s still kicking up such a fuss even now. Let''s see. Why don''t I try to curb his hysteria by using the

    Puppet Strings?"

Right on cue, thousands of puppet strings came out from Austin''s Soul Sea, and shot towards the

    panicking master.

    "What''s all this?!"

In spite of his terror, the master felt a sharp pang of anger break through, apanied with some

    shock. "That''s impossible!

The Puppet Strings is the secret skill of our race, passed on from generation to generation.

Only we can fully master the technique.

Human bastard, howe you are able to wield the Puppet Strings?

This is impossible! This must be some trick you''re trying to y!"

As a matter of fact, Austin only began to practice this attack not too long ago.

By all rights, any master from the spiritual race would have been better than him at this secret skill.

However, the master''s earlierbat with the spiritual tree and spiritual dragon had greatly hampered

    his strength.

He could not even fight back now. Austin''s puppet strings tied the master up without much effort.

Even tied up, though, he was still making a ruckus, so the spiritual tree and dragon stepped up to

    subdue him.

In that same moment, on the grounds of the spiritual capital, the governor was waging battle against

    the trial participants.

While the fight was raging on rather fiercely, both parties seemed to be on equal footing, and neither

one was appearing to be at any disadvantage. Suddenly, the governor received a message from

Morse, the master guarding the spiritual dragon below ground. "What?" the governor eximed,

    disbelief written on his face.

"A human boy stole the spiritual dragon?

That''s impossible; there must be some mistake!

    Are you sure of this?"

The governor''s face was turning deathly pale.

It took his father a great deal of time, money, and resources to nurture that spiritual beast.

It was his father''s lifetime work. Once his father found out that it was stolen right under their nose, he

    would go ballistic.

The governor knew what he should do.

"Fall back," he yelled at his troops.

"Follow me!" He gathered his people and prepared to lead them underground. The trial participants

were baffled at the abrupt about face of their opponents.

They exchanged puzzled looks, their weapons still firmly in their hands.

    "What''s this? What''s going on?"

They watched as the enemies they were engaging in battle just a while ago dove into the ground one

    by one.

"Is it possible that they left for the vessel of spiritual crystal under the city?" one of the participants

blurted out his thoughts, breaking the dumbfounded silence that came over them when thest of the

enemy had left. "If that''s the case, then we must go after them and take that vessel!"

Without further hesitation, they disappeared into the ground as well.

It was thus that Austin became a target of the governor and his people as well as the young talents and

the earth immortals of the major forces.

They were heading towards him from different directions. But he did not know that yet.

    "Master!"

It was the master from the spiritual race, who was squirming only moments before but was now

    He bowed deeply.

In such a short time he had be extremely loyal, and Austin was pleased.

''This is such an awesome turn of events!''

He could sense that the spiritual dragon was still firmly under the spiritual tree''s control.

The tree was once again deeply rooted on the dragon''s head.

This meant that the dragon now belonged to him, and he could take full advantage of the beast''s

    energy at will.

"Congrattions, master!" Lange piped up, obviously trying to curry favor.

"Now that you have tamed this spiritual dragon, even the great masters from our race are no match

    against you!"

The rest of Austin''s ves followed suit, singing his praises.

It was then that the governor and his people barged in.

    "Morse!" the governor hollered.

"Where is this human brat who dared to take our treasure?" When he spotted the man he was looking

    for, he paused.

"Hang on. Why are you standing next to him?" He took a moment to assess the scene in front of him,

but before anyone could say a word, he was speaking again.

"I get it! You must have put this boy under your control. Ha-ha! I expected no less!

You really are good! Look how you''ve managed to make him your ve!

These damn participants all possess rune papers, which enable them to deflect the effects of the

    Puppet Strings.

I can''t believe you''ve outsmarted them. Well done!" The governor then gave a merry, full-belliedugh.

He was still chortling softly when the horde of trial participants entered the scene. Unlike the others,

though, they were fully familiar with the human brat standing before them.

Their prattle immediately filled the room.

    "What''s happening now?"

    "Isn''t that Austin Lin?"

"Why is he with the members of the spiritual race?"

All of a sudden another loudughter, this oneced with malice, cut through the noise.

It was from one of the trial participants, and he was looking at Austin with loathing.

"This is great, isn''t it, Austin? Never in a million years did I expect for you to end up like this. This is

possibly the best day I''ve ever had!"

Then he shot Austin with a murderous re, and proimed, "You deserve this."
