Chapter 2135 The Reincarnate Lotus

    Chapter 2135 The Reincarnate Lotus

They looked up and saw a wide rock protruding from the tform on the cliff.

The tform was shrouded by thick clouds, making it almost invisible to the naked eyes.

However, if people looked close enough they could vaguely see a snow-white light rising up to the sky.

It emitted a powerful life aura that could be sensed even from a distance.

"The Reincarnate Lotus is on that tform,"

    the monk said to Austin.

There was a stonedder creating a stone road that was once built along the surface of the cliff.

"We can''t fly to the tform. Our only option is to climb on the wall using the stonedder. Let''s go!"

The monk started moving as he stepped gingerly on the stonedder and climbed along the stone

    road.

Austin and Brady followed his example and climbed the stonedder.

While walking on the stone road, Austin realized that there were some mysterious energy waves

flowing around. It created some pressure that felt almost as deep as the sea.

"Damn it! The cliff seems to be bleeding!"

Austin suddenly discovered something and cursed under his breath.

"Something wants to provoke us. Be careful,"

the monk who was leading the way, said in a deep voice. He seemed upset and mes of fury were

    burning in his eyes.

He still looked grave and solemn.

As if right on cue, blood started gushing from all parts of the ck cliff. It was flowing down along the

surface of the cliff like a river. It was a heinous sight.

Momentster, arge stretch of the cliff was tainted and soaked by the blood.

Two hourster, the three of them had climbed and covered at least half of the distance while trudging

along the zigzagging terrain up the cliff. However, a ck mist like fog rose and covered the cliff. It

swirled around them making everything look very dim.

"They''re going to attack us. Damn it!"

A sense of foreboding overwhelmed Austin.

    "Stop!"

Suddenly, the monk who was walking ahead stopped.

They could make out the silhouette of several figures that appeared in the thick mist on the stone road

    in front of them.

The monk had already stopped, ready to confront those strange figures. Although he didn''t make any

move, he had a solemn expression on his face as if he was trying to warn them off.

Austin and Brady could vaguely tell through the thick fog that they were some people wearing ancient

costumes. They looked as if they hade from the ancient times.

Upon further investigation, they all looked very old and lifeless. However, their aura was intimidating

and depressing. Austin had an instinct that they should not be underestimated.

The monk stared at them intensely. The tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife although both

    sides were stationery.

"I don''t want to hurt you. Please get out of my way,"

the monk said. Although he came off as polite, his voice was still low but firm.

Of course, the monk didn''t open his mouth to speak. Instead, hemunicated with the figures

through his mind. His mind would transform and form a sound the same way human beings talk.

However, this sound was more effective aspared to normal humanmunication.

The monk kept silent, and so did the other figures hiding in the thick mist.

Austin and Brady knew that they might be negotiating with each other although they could not hear

    them speak.

After a long while, the monk frowned and waved his sleeve. Then a dozen herbs flew out andnded in

    front of those strange figures.

These herbs were all ck and emitted a sharp sense of death. They were only effective when used on

    zombies or other dead creatures.

"Let''s go. Don''t look back at them. Don''t even try to sense their aura. Just follow me!"

said the monk. He walked again towards the cliff, bypassing the lifeless figures.

Both Austin and Brady dared not make a noise. They carefully kept their distance from the figures and

followed the monk as closely as possible. Following the monk''s order, they didn''t look back.

However, they still felt some mysterious kind of cold air blowing on their backs. They sensed that the

dead-looking figures in the thick mist were looking at them coldly and threateningly. The ancient

costume made them look mysterious and unpredictable.

Only after they had created some significant distance between them and the strange creatures did the

    tension reduce a little.

    "Who are they?"

Austin asked in a low voice.

"The same as me; they died a long time ago. They should have disappeared from this world,"

    the monk replied seeming mncholic.

"They are as old as you are? WOW!"

Austin couldn''t help gasping in surprise.

Meanwhile, in the thick fog, a few pairs of weird eyes were staring closely at Austin.

All of a sudden, Austin''s body couldn''t move as if it had been frozen in an ice cer. His face was pale

and bloodless. He looked like an ant being looked down upon by a dragon, unable to speak or move.

"Don''t look back! Don''t get cold feet or be scared! They have been dead for a long time!"

The monk growled in frustration. He then waved his sleeve and turned Austin''s body around to shield

and prevent him from staring at the horrible eyes of the dead figures.

"Oh my God! This is so scary and creepy! I just looked back for a single second, and despite not being

able to see anything clearly I was still terrified!"

Austin muttered, with his heart still chilled from the experience.

The thick fog was getting thicker and thicker. Even the spiritual sense could no longer prate it.

Time passed by quickly and the three of them had to trudge along the difficult terrain.

Finally, they climbed to the cliff safely.

Standing on it, Austin found the cliff much wider and more spacious than he had expected.

It covered an area of dozens of square meters.

On the other side of the tform near the surface of the cliff, a white lotus the size of a palm swayed in

    the breeze.

The white lotus attracted both Austin and Brady''s attention.

    It was the Reincarnate Lotus.

    Austin cried out excitedly.

"It''s the Reincarnate Lotus. Ha ha! I finally found it. Now I can get my flesh body back,"

the me Emperor said and thenughed loudly in Austin''s Soul Sea.

While, staring at the white lotus, Austin suddenly thought of something else.

As he was looking, he also noticed some strange things.

Austin was reminded of those days when he, Evan and Herbert were practicing and cultivating on the

Sun Mountain in the Violet Orchid Empire.

He vaguely saw the imperial capital city of the Violet Orchid Empire, and the Mysterious Nether World.

The Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom was floating in his mind. Actually, all his previous experiences in

the Prime Martial World reyed in his mind one by one clearly and quickly as if he was reliving them

    once again.

A momentter, Austin saw what he had experienced in the East Maind of the Divine Continent.

He saw what had happened to him at the Blue Dragon School of the Middle Pilgrim Land.

Austin was fully immersed in his past memories. He couldn''t seem to tell the past from the present and

was in danger of losing himself.

    "Wake up! Kid!"

Suddenly, Austin heard the monk''s shout right inside his ear. It felt like a bolt out of the blue struck his

ear, which made Austin sober up in an instant.

"Don''t stare at the Reincarnate Lotus. It will pull you into an endless loop of illusions and you may

    never recover,"

the monk shouted at Austin to bring him back to the reality.

"Wow, that was close, the illusions seemed so real!"

Austin was still a little scared at how close he came to losing his mind.

The monk moved his body and rushed towards the Reincarnate Lotus, preparing to pick it.

However, at that critical moment, another figure showed up.

"Damn it, what is it now?"

    Austin eximed in surprise.

The figure appeared in front of the Reincarnate Lotus, blocking the monk''s path. He was as tall and

firm as a statue, and his eyes were very frightening, prating through the thick mist.

He had a pair of cyan eyes, without the white part of the eye and the pupils. His eyes looked like two

green ghostmps shining like hell, looking down upon Austin and his fellows.

Austin and Brady could not help but look at each other with bitter smiles. They had gone through all

kinds of dangers on their way to find the lotus. However, they hadn''t expected that they would be

challenged right before savoring the sess of finally getting the Reincarnate Lotus.
