Chapter 1980 Deal
"It''s time for the test to begin!
If you wish to join any of the four schools, then line up. You will take turns to perform two simple things.
Announce your name to the Talent St, and then attack!
The Talent St will rank you based on your age, talent, and potential.
Let usmence the test!"
The elder d in grey announced and his voice was heard all over.
"I''ll go first."
An eager and sturdy young man, looking confident and sure of himself, stepped out of the crowd and
walked forwards, stopping directly in front of the Talent St.
The elder nodded.
"Duncan," the man announced his name to the Talent St and then prepared to attack.
To use the strongest attack possible, he began to run his vital energy force. Surges of it rushed out of
his body, sparkling everywhere and the scene turning chaotic.
"Hah!"
With a shout, the vital energy force around his body surged forwards and rushed towards the Talent
N?vel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
St.
Since he wanted to take no chances in the test, he had gone all out against the Talent St in order to
prove his worth to thetter.
As someone at the preliminary stage of Minor-perfection Realm, he was formidable enough to be
considered and had released his strongest attack right here. Apanied by a loud boom, the Talent
St was hit forcefully, though it remained unmoved.
"What do you think of my ranking?"
Duncan retreated with a victorious smile, looking hopeful as he began to search for his name on the
Talent St.
"Top of the list!"
The next moment, he erupted in joy, seeing his name in the first grid on the Talent St.
"Now, now. It''s not that. No, you''re the only one to have attacked the st till now. Naturally, your name
is on the top.
It doesn''t prove anything."
The elder replied lightly.
"Oh," Duncan withdrew with an awkward smile.
The rest of the group sneered at his preposterous supposition.
Sure enough, when the second warrior stepped forward andunched an attack on the Talent St,
Duncan''s name dropped to the second ce and another name appeared in the first one.
This meant that the second cultivator was more talented than Duncan.
Now, everyone had an idea of how the Talent St ranked their performance and wanted to be on top.
The test progressed forwards gradually.
Numerous young warriors lined up, took part in the selection, and sted at the Talent St with their
mightiest move possible.
It didn''t matter who took part in the test first. Your power decided your ranking.
Therefore, several of these warriors, especially those who were much more powerful than the rest of
them, were in no hurry to take the test. Austin was also among them, and he was standing silently in a
corner.
"Austin, we want to make a deal with you. If you release Max, Our Ji n will give you a thousand
superior herbs at or above grade five.
We''ll also give you a semi-omnipotent herb."
Austin had been busy watching the test with interest when he heard a voice echo across his Soul Sea.
He turned around to check.
An elder in ck was looking at him.
He was no superman; just an ordinary elder of the Ji n.
"A thousand and a half superior herbs at or above grade six, and a semi-omnipotent herb!"
Austin thought for a while and then responded with a demand of his own.
After his adventures in the Spiritual Tower of the Angel City, Austin had captured six powerful warriors
and locked them up inside the ve Tower.
These were all important personalities, including the Holy Sons of the Vasteras Holy Land and the
Rudimentary Holy Land; the Holy Daughter Polly and the Holy Son Stephen of the Arcane Holy Land
had also been captured; as well as Max from the Ji n and Belinda from the Shen n.
Dave, who was from the Rudimentary Holy Land had already been handed over to Yannick, but the
others were still in the ve Tower.
But this had happened a while back. Now, Austin had broken through and was much stronger than
before.
These so-called strong warriors meant nothing to him and it was meaningless for him to keep them
locked away.
He pondered over it for a while. This was a good opportunity, and he could use it to exchange their
lives for some superior herbs and semi-omnipotent herbs. Those resources would be much more
valuable to him.
"What?! How could you!"
The elder hadn''t imagined even in his wildest dreams that Austin would demand such an exorbitant
price.
However, he had no other choice, "Okay, I agree."
The man answered through gritted teeth. He looked sullen at the prospect of paying such a high price.
He had to agree because Max was considered a very talented person in the Ji n.
If he got a chance to take part in the selection trials on behalf of the n, there was a great chance that
he would get in.
After much consideration, the n leader agreed to Austin''s price.
Austin of course understood why they had agreed to his demands.
However, with his current strength, he had nothing to fear even if the top level students of these major
schools came to contend. He could win this trial easily.
More disciples entering thepetition on the Ji n''s behalf had no effect on Austin at all.
"Give me the herbs and I''ll let Max go!"
Austin responded.
"Alright!"
The elder nodded. He waved his hand, and a Space Ring flew over from nowhere and fell on the
ground in front of Austin.
With his spiritual sense, Austin checked inside. The elder was true to his words. There were 1500
superior herbs at or above grade six and a semi-omnipotent herb inside.
He put the Space Ring away.
Then, he teleported Max out of the ve Tower and threw him in front of the elder.
As soon as the elder got Max, he hurriedly picked him up and carried him to the edge of the square in
an instant.
Without waiting for formalities, he exined the current situation to Max as quickly as possible, telling
him to prepare for thepetition as fast as he could.
"Austin, our Arcane Holy Land also wants to make a deal with you.
If you let go of our Holy Son and Holy Daughter, we will pay you as much as the Ji n has just paid
you,"
Austin heard another voice message sent through spiritual sense.
Several people had noticed the transaction between Austin and the elder of the Ji n.
Especially those from the holynds and the major ns had been quick to notice the exchange.
Austin turned around and saw a reclusive elder from the Arcane Holy Land looking at him curiously.
"Nice try, but there are two people from your Arcane Holy Land with me. So, I''ll take two semi-
omnipotent herbs in total and three thousand superior herbs at or above grade six."
Austin went up straight to the elder and told him in aposed voice.
"What? Did I hear it right?!"
The reclusive elder of the Arcane Holy Land was startled, even more than the elder from the Ji n.
Semi-omnipotent herbs were extremely rare and highly difficult to find in the Divine Continent.
Yet there was an astonishing number of semi-omnipotent herbs in the Fallen Immortal World. Austin
knew that almost every sect had obtained some part of that treasure hoard and had made his demands
ordingly.
But the price Austin had mentioned was still quite high. Such a treasure was worth more than a king''s
ransom. But once again. the Arcane Holy Land had no choice. They were forced to agree, just like the
Ji n.
"Deal."
After hesitating for a while, the reclusive elder also agreed to the price. What else could he do!
He thought that it would be worth the price he was paying it if two more people from his holynd could
go to the four schools.
As a result, he also tossed a Space Ring towards Austin, which contained two semi-omnipotent herbs
and three thousand superior herbs.
Austin kept true to his word and immediately released the Holy Son and the Holy Daughter of the
Arcane Holy Land.
Very soon, the master of the Shen n, also sent a message to Austin by spiritual sense, requesting
him to release Belinda.
And just as before, after asking for suitablepensation, Austin let her go.
After releasing four of his prisoners, Austin now had more than six thousand superior herbs at or above
grade six and four semi-omnipotent herbs in his hand.
"That''s a bumper harvest.
Now I only need 3000 superior herbs to refine the Immortal Body Refining Form once again,"
Austin murmured to himself in a happy tone.
He hade to terms with the fact that if he wanted to cultivate the Immortal Body Refining Form to
it ultimate limit, he would need to repeat the process of refinement several times over, and he could
achieve it in the end someday.
In any case, he began to pay attention to the ongoing trials in the center of the square.
By that time, 400 people had already taken the test.
This meant that an interesting twist wasing. The Talent St only showed 400 names at once.
The next contestant had to perform better than the one on the bottom of the list. Whoever it was, the
401th contestant meant that someone was going to be knocked out of the trials.
Those who were on top of the list felt relieved since their chances of staying in the race were high.
The low ranked disciples were getting worried and jumpy now.
