Chapter 1938 Count Up The Spoils
After a day had passed, the flying boat set down on the ground at the headquarters of the me Holy
Land. It had been a long journey, even with the use of the teleportation arrays and Elder Sharp''s flying
boat.
The boat was a very high-grade magic treasure. When he had taken it out, it was even a little dusty
since he had not used it for over a hundred thousand years. The people of the me Holy Land were
grateful that it had decreased their traveling time by at least half.
Still, their bodies ached and they struggled to keep their eyes open as they wandered single-file off the
boat and into the center of the headquarters.
Elder Sharp had departed first and now stood at the head of the group, facing them. Slowly, smiles
began growing on their faces.
It had taken over half a month to explore the Fallen Immortal World and they were finally back home.
Their smiles were in anticipation for their warm beds and the profits weighing heavily in their pockets.
Once they had all gotten off the boat, Elder Sharp grabbed their attention. "Excellent work, everyone.
First, I want you to return to your residences and get some good rest.
Tomorrow, you can focus on checking your treasures. Then the real work begins. I need you all to
practice your cultivation.
Our me Holy Land is rising in power, so everyone needs to improve as soon as possible and be
prepared to fight for the holynd!"
Elder Sharp said, projecting his voice so that everyone could hear him clearly.
"Yes, sir!"
All the people nodded in agreement and went their separate ways. The sound of footsteps wandering
filled the air as Elder Sharp stood and proudly watched them leave.
It was true that the me Holy Land was making its way up the powerdder among the other sects in
the East Maind.
As they improved, the members became more fearless and full of newfound vigor.
They walked around with their chests puffed up anywhere they went in the East Maind. They had
discovered that they were no longer victims of abuse.
Over time, the other sects started to show the me Holy Land their love and affection and even
dered that they wanted to join the sect.
All the cultivators in the East Maind knew that the strength of the me Holy Land was improving
and they wanted the best chance to win any battles.
It was almost as strong as the other three holynds and the three prominent ns, making it ideal for
war.
Meanwhile, Austin teleported to his peak.
He enjoyed the solitude it brought now that it was considered a forbidden area in the headquarters of
the me Holy Land.
Only his feet were allowed to step on the peak, in addition to several elders and stewards who were still
more powerful than him.
Looking out over the headquarters, Austin smiled. He was the Holy Heritor of the me Holy Land and
the thought enticed him to do even more.
If things stayed the way they had been, it wouldn''t be long before he could be elected as the holy lord
of the me Holy Land.
Currently, he needed to practice his cultivation, so he entered the secret cultivation room and found a
quiet space. Sitting with his legs crossed, he closed his eyes and tried as hard as he could to focus on
one point. It took him half of the day to adjust his mind properly and meditate.
For the past couple weeks, he had spent almost every day on the journey in the Fallen Immortal World.
He had been exhausted physically and mentally, and getting back to normal was a challenge.
Once he was satisfied, Austin opened his eyes gradually.
Secondster, he transported himself into the secret cultivation room on the ninth floor of the ve
Tower.
When his feet hit the floor, what he saw nearly caused him to fall over. Everywhere he looked, lightning
was stretching its long arms, bouncing off the walls and ceiling.
It was so bright that he had to squint his eyes and shield them with his hand.
In the middle of the secret room was a giant beast. It was curled up sleeping and its figure was dark
could barely make out what it was.
Relief washed through him when he realized it was the thunder unicorn.
It had been a short time since Austin had collected several thunder fruits and ten magic thunder fruits in
the Fallen Immortal World and fed them to the thunder unicorn.
He hadn''t hesitated before giving them to his thunder unicorn, knowing that the ten magic thunder fruits
contained immense thunder and lightning energy.
Elders had informed him once that thunder beasts nted magic thunder fruits and guarded them as
sacred treasures.
Thunder beasts would use the sacred treasures to cultivate and be stronger over time.
Luckily, the thunder unicorn had been provided with ten magic thunder fruits. Austin could only imagine
how greatly these fruits would contribute to his thunder unicorn.
He had trouble being patient enough to find out what would happen.
Standing in the doorway and watching it sleep, Austin could feel the electricity and energy flowing
through his own veins and making all his hair stand up. Even sleeping, it was more powerful than
before.
Excitement built inside of him, the thunder unicorn was his puppet and he could use it whenever he
pleased. It didn''t think on its own and Austin''s mind ran wild with that information.
It was almost as easy as lifting one of his own arms. The thunder unicorn was a part of him, whether it
liked that or not.
His eyes widened as it snored and thunder rang from its nostrils.
"I didn''t expect to return to this. This is perfect! The thunder unicorn''s strength has improved at least a
thousand times since Ist saw it," Austin muttered to himself.
A satisfied smile spread on his face. He could only imagine what life would be like if everything were
that effortless.
The Fallen Immortal World had been good to Austin but this was the first benefit he had seen with his
own two eyes.
Feeling good, he allowed himself to return to the secret room on the peak.
Even though weeks had passed since the thunder unicorn had eaten the thunder fruits and the ten
magic thunder fruits, it would be a long time before the thunder unicorn could digest all the thunder and
lightning buried within the fruits.
Austin would have to be patient and bide his time somewhere else. Perhaps, he could focus on
cultivating while the thunder unicorn was doing the same, but first, he had something he needed to
check on.
Closing his eyes, he teleported himself into the City model.
His feetnded on the pavement in the middle of a street. It was empty except for two things.
A huge, grey cocoon was nted in the middle of the street, pulsating wildly.
On the ground next to the cocoon was Priest Callum of the evil shadow race. He was sitting cross-
legged and his eyes were closed until he heard Austin arrive.
"Austin, you made it back,"
Priest Callum said as Austin approached him quickly.
Immediately, Austin''s hand reached out and ran over the exterior of the cocoon.
"There are already cracks!"
he eximed. His eyes glowed as he examined the rest of the cocoon.
N?vel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
"Yes. I''d give the queen two more days to have her breakthrough. Then she should emerge from the
cocoon,"
Priest Callum replied with a smile on his face.
"That is great!"
It seemed everyone was making amazing progress; however, Caroline''s progress was the most
important in Austin''s eyes. It had been so long since he had spoken to her that he was beginning to
miss her.
"It feels so strong,"
Austin added, taking a step back from the cocoon. A burst of evil energy had slipped through a crack in
the cocoon.
The space around the cocoon vibrated and Austin momentarily wondered if it were going to open early.
He used his spiritual sense to read the evil energy.
"It is. The queen must have inherited from one of the great masters of the evil shadow race who had
lived in the ancient times.
She will use it to promote her strength and use it to her advantage once she is out,"
Priest Callum exined proudly.
In the evil shadow race, the position of a priest was equivalent to a n''s guardian. Most of the time,
their status was even higher than that of a patriarch or a queen.
Priest Callum wanted to witness his members increase their strength. It meant that he was doing a
good job teaching them.
"That''s great. I need to go now but if anything happens to Caroline, please inform me straight away,"
Austin said.
"Okay."
Priest Callum nodded.
Having fulfilled his small mission, Austin left the City model and went back to the secret cultivation
room on the peak.
"Now that that''s done, I can count what had I collected in the Fallen Immortal World,"
Austin said to himself.
He sat in the corner of the room and began taking out his treasures.
